Very helpful, Ali. I think everyone on these meds needs to see this. I think some people view GLP-1 as the magic “pill” but the reality is, in order to be successful you still need to make the necessary changes.

I needed to see this video. I have been stalled for a month going up and down. I am stepping up in two weeks when I have finished my 7.5 dose. I have been on this dose since June. I am hoping the increased dose, changing my exercise routine and continueing to track my food and everything else I am doing I will start to drop again. On a different note this shows me what I need to do to maintain my weight so it is all good.

You need to have this video transcribed and post it in your group and ALL of the others out there. This was great!

Great video as always Ali. I am on 7.5 starting 5th week. Food suppression is awesome. Hoping to stay on it for a while before having to go up.
You are so right about lower dose. 2.5! Was just 4 wks. 5 mg was 6 weeks but I fought hard to stay on it till I saw Dr. I had not lost. She put me on the 7.5 and so far it’s great. Losing an average of 2.5 to 3 lbs a week.
So your advice to stay on it for as long as you can is great. Also my Dr upped my thyroid meds which also helped. Having a Dr who as you said understand GLP 1 and your medical needs is vital. Thanks again for your wonderful support and advice.

Great information. I believe for me tracking calories is key. And awareness that as weight goes down so does calorie goal

Thanks Ally! I'd also like to add "if you're post-menopausal" to the list! Even with HRT, losing weight is challenging in this season of life. However, with a GLP1, the scale is changing. Hallelujah!

This video is spot on esp on the increase dose. Was on 2.5 for two months, then went to 5 after 2.5 ran out of mojo. 5 was great lost 8 on first box,9 on second box,0.2 on third lol and am bumping up. I always have a good sense of when it runs out of steam, because my habits are the same.

Iam a non responder as far as weight goes. I’m now on 5 milligrams after being on 2.5 for 6 months starting January 20th of this year. My A1C is now normal so it worked beautifully for my diabetes. Not for weight loss. I walk a lot everyday track my calories, eat in a deficit and eat super healthy but my weight is like cement. I’ll hang in there though and maybe eventually the pounds will come off. Thanks Allie

Lots of diabetics seem to find that they need to get to the higher doses before they start losing weight. 🤔
It’s not fair, but does seem to happen lots.

@@cloakster Thanks for the tip. I really appreciate it. I get so sick 🤢 on these shots until my body adjusts. Hopefully I’ll be able to move up before another 6 months pass.

Thank you for this video. Much appreciated. I’ve had a weight stall for 5 weeks. Dr. Wants to keep me on the starting strength. I track carbs, calories, fat and fiber. Only lost 23 lbs in 4 months.

    • @cloakster
      @cloakster 18 минут назад +2

Since when is losing 23 pounds disappointing? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Nothing at all bad or wrong about losing 1-2 lbs/week. In fact, medically, seems to be what’s recommended.
*Very rapid* weight-loss actually can come with some pretty nasty side effects that no one wants. 😯
Though sure, if you find yourself in a prolonged STALL, and you’re doing everything else right, it’s likely time to move up in dose. 🤔

@@cloakster I think people see "celebrities" lose to get into a dress for the Oscars or something and expect that's how the medication will work. You're absolutely right. Losing too fast is definitely NOT a good thing.
