Thank you very much! my late father had this grill in his backyard and due to his sickness left it in a pretty dirty state this last season. I'm pumped to get it cleaned up and to use it to its fullest potential!
I clean mine after every cook before the cover goes back on. I don’t want to clean it before I’m busy enough prepping the meat. I even take that thin aluminum tray out and clean under it. Could be grease down there and def more ash down below it
That’s about exactly how I clean mine, too. I clean it before every cook so I just scrape off the burnt grease while the deflector is still inside, and vacuum that before I remove it.

Great background,I put aluminum foil shield on metal plate for easy cleanup👍
I tried that, but the foil stuck to the deflector plate and made the clean up even harder.
@@SmokedMidwestBBQ the plate has to be grease free after that its smooth sailing I've done it trouble free👌

I hear ya, I just got into the habit of cleaning it before the cook. 👍
If you coat it with baking soda and let sit for 20/30 minutes it scraps right off like a dream
Good tip! 👌🏻
Thanks for the video!!!!
You bet! Thanks for watching.
