There is some thread on the MTG Arena subreddit already that asks, no, DEMANDS the hawk sound implemented right now to be replaced with annoying honking.
When you had two Great Henges in hand with Regisaur on the battlefield, you could have played one, activate it, play the other, keep the second one, gain 4 life instead of 2.
I'm not sure the mana base supports it, but with activated abilities between knight of the ebon legion and adapt, you might be able to make a sweet sultai biomancer's familiar deck.
In the play anything event I tried a homebrew gruul deck with ilharg, the gruul fight wurm and the thorny mamoth. that with rhythm of the wild and great henge, was fun, even got upto 8 wins. special award goes to the ilharg into ilharg with a pelt collector in play, immediately picking up a pile of tokens.
I think you should make room for Spawn of Mayhem. This deck can be extremely aggressive and sometimes you can kill people before you even get a chance to play The Great Henge. Spawn of Mayhem also plays really well with Knight of the Ebon Legion and Growth Chamber Guardian. On turn 3 you hold up 3 mana for Ebon/Guardian, your opponent isn't likely to want to block when you can pump them, and then you get to sneak in Spawn for its Spectacle cost.
Spawn is great, no doubt, but I felt like the deck was a little too clunky with all those 3-4 mana cards. We're not actually very good at enabling spectacle once we cut Pelt Collector.
It's funny, I tried this for a while, lost twice to the monogreen version, went back to that one, and I feel like monogreen is more powerful? I get the allure of Murderous Rider, but it slows down the aggro plan considerably, whereas Vivien does the same while also improving the board. And you don't need to endure Regisaur's card disadvantage to drop Henge, you don't even particularly need Henge on turn 4 (which is feasible with Yorvo in the Regisaur spot anyway), and without Vivien giving trample to the Regisaur, nothing guarantees it won't be constantly chumped by tokens.
Noone ever remembers that pelt collector gets trample at 4 power. I remember getting it to 5 with vivien, arkbow ranger's +1 (trample for the turn and 2 1/1 counters on 1 or 2 creatures), and then the next turn, they thought that the trample was gone, so they chumped it with a token and died. Pretty great stuff.
The Green Black hybrid knight from ELD seems really busted against decks with a lot of removal. I'm not sure if ts main deckable since its only really good with the great henge out.
Knight of the ebon is good enough to be played in control, too, I think. It's a great blocker in the early game, and control decks already want to hold up mana. I see no reason why any deck playing black wouldn't want it, unless if it's *very* focused on curving out.
I saw that 5/5 edit and it made me lol. Love this deck I was hoping you'd do a video on your version soon! Wish I had enough wildcards to craft it, but something to work on and look forward to. I like your Pelt Collector version without spawn of mayhem, what do you think about adding one Rankle to this deck though?
Why not incubation Druid compared to paradise Druid? Still mana fixes to black as well as green, but also benefits from the great henge being in play, enabling its ability
Hey what do you think of having a food package of witches oven, food troll, and cauldron familiar + maybe Oko? With henge out its sac a food, you get a card, a 2/2 and drain them for one. I tested it and it was pretty fun.
I was actually pretty sure you'd dubbed it in since the rest of the audio cut out a bit. Otherwise I would have just guessed that they finally started fixing the more awkward sound effects, which they totally should do.
LegenVD, thanks for the informative content. Where would you recommend we check to decide which decks to craft? I can only craft 1 at the moment and want to pick between strong ones, so i can hopefully play the crafted deck till next exp? What I find tough is judging which is better e.g. simic food vs great hedge..
@@LegenVD Thanks again. Your decks seem more well-thought out and synergistic from what I've seen there up until now. Looking forward to more videos :)

How can I upgrade this deck after Once Upon a Time has been banned? 4 x Vivien's Arkbow (find some creature) or 4 x Wildborn Preserver (take advantage of a creatures deck) or something better?
Am I missing something? I don’t think you’d be able to adapt Growth Chamber Guardian if you play it with Great Henge on the board since it’ll come in with a +1/+1 counter on it (which would prevent adapt from putting more counters on it). Really, am I missing something?? 0o Either way, kudos for some very entertaining content. Keep it up, mate.
The +1/+1 from Henge is a trigger, unlike Riot for example where the creature enters with a +1/+1 counter on it already. So there's a small window for us to still adapt the Guardian before it gets the counter from Henge.
It's great in decks with more 4+ mana cards. We want most of our early lands to be untapped so we can curve out, and since we have a Temple there's less need for the fixing than in some other color pairs.
the second game is exactly why I dont play MTG anymore. What is the point of a competitive game so heavily dependent on match-ups? There are more balanced games to invest time and money in.
