I am Catholic and believe God gave me my wonderful , beautiful gay son for a reason my life is richer with him in it. I have learned so much from him. God truelly blessed me.

As a gay man who grew up in a Pentecostal family thank you for being open and sharing your story. I went through a lot with my Dad and even now I know my father loves me. I know my Dad will never accept my sexuality totally but I know that he loves me and I love him. His biggest worry was I would lose my faith in God and I have never lost my faith I may have questioned it but it is still there.
I belonged to a Pentecostal church in my teens. I am happy that I've abandoned that effed up place. It promotes hate.
But hey... Its your choice.

She gave the situation to God 🙏❤️ that is the best thing she could do when she felt overwhelmed.
And kept loving her son.
And she is being transparent about her feelings in hopes to help others who need help processing this situation.

I came here to hear a testimony, and it was a good one.
This lady has let go and let God be God. But she should stand by the Word Romans 8:1-8 and remind her son that if he is to be obedient to God then he must live according to the Spirit not the flesh

I'm so confused on Christianity. They say being gay is a sin yet they cut their hair every month. And they do many more things yet they say they live by the Bible. But they sin everyday it's just they don't say it out loud. And then she says that she was starting to not feel like it was her son or she didn't love him that much anymore yet the Bible says god loves all.

Most christians and atheists look at the words of leviticus as christian rules. This is quite wrong. In leviticus god told the isrealites rules. All deviations were punishable by death. When Jesus died on the cross, the harsh rules of the old testament were lifted. Among the old testament's rules are no homosexuality, no eating animals that don't chew cud and have split hooves, no cutting hair, and the list goes on. I've probably said something wrong, If anyone that's more knowledgeable about the bible sees something wrong, please correct it.
ALEX R. - Christians are not under Mosaic Law and therefore we do not follow the old Laws that restricts what we eat and what we wear. However, what makes homosex different is that it is referred to as sexual immorality (sexual sin) by Jesus Christ himself. Being gay is not a sin, acting upon homosexuality is a sin. Sexual immorality is all sex outside of the consensual sex between a married man and woman, everything else is immoral so it is not just homosexuality. I can tell that you're not educated enough to speak about the Bible the way you are.
Christianity sucks. All organized religion sucks. But especially christian and islam.

Ok, so just because he happens to do ONE thing against the Bible he's bad? I'm Christian, but I don't care if someone is apart of the LGBT community. Everyone has a free will. If I have a son or daughter and they came out, I'd give full support! As long as you raise them to become a good person they'll be fine! I'm glad she came to except it at the end!

I am Catholic I go to Catholic school but I have absolutly no problem with gay/lesbians . We were reading the bible in religion class and it was one of those student Bibles and in the beginning it said "You can change into a normal lifestyle" (when it was talking about being gay) And i was like WHATTTTTTTTTTT the Bible said God doesn't like when you perform "Homosexual acts" im like idc if im catholic or whatever cuz thats wrong

Why is it heartbreaking?? The person who is gay isn’t broken-hearted. Only if his family rejects him would he be. The parents have no standing in the issue. There is no one to blame. If someone is gay it’s just like having red hair. If you have it you have it. You can’t change it. Why that is so important to others escapes me entirely.
Unfortunately, there was no mention of the father, even if she is a single mother. It was also vital that there was no reaction from her gay son.
Catholic= Christian....you were poorly catechised. I am Catholic, I totally agree with giving your son to God. I too have given my son to God for he is gay also.

Why is it gays want Christians to change for them and loving the same sex isn't the sin .Lusting and having sex is that's what's in the bible. That is the choice they talk about.

The Bible in it's original languages does not condemn homosexuality. There are words that have no English translation such as arsenokoitai that can't be translated properly as it only appears in the Bible. There are several Christian denominations that accept the LGBTQ community. The Episcopal Church started officially in 1978 accepting the LGBTQ community.

I assume you didn't actually watch the video before making a judgment? What I saw was a woman who learned to love her son all over again and continues to grow with him. I think she is excellent for educating herself and being able to put her beliefs aside for her son.
