    An hour is not long with you. I am learning so much from you. I started my garden in late April just out of the blue and I found your channel a few weeks after. I am now setting up my beds and you have shown me how as I am unemployed and was so worrying about having to buy fertilizer and such so I can have a bountiful harvest eventually. Thanks so much.

    I just joined the family a few videos back sis. You were harvesting mangoes, my favourite fruit. I love the peacefulness of your channel. I love that its just you showing what you are doing to grow your food. Nothing fancy or fluffed up. Keep going sis, I am here to cheer you on. And your right, im gonna have to turn those rabbits into stew because they now are going after my pepper plants.

    Hi Marie, lovely video as always. Thank you. How long do you cure the chicken and horse manure?

    • @FarmingOnTheRocks
      @FarmingOnTheRocks  Месяц назад

      Until it's doesn't smell like poop any more, I don't keep track of the time. I get the horse manure already cured

    It takes around 3months. And they don't need any fertilizer. Tumeric self grows. They don't need any help 😊

    I am really enjoying your videos. Looking forward to seeing how well your tumeric does 😊Peppers, tomatoes and squash are really heavy feeders. I grow them in the UK and give them double the feed that any other of my veggies get.

    Hi Marie, how long does it take for the chicken and horse manure to break down before you can use it on the plants?

    • @FarmingOnTheRocks
      @FarmingOnTheRocks  Месяц назад +1

      I don't time it, I just use it when it no longer smells like poop 😕

  • @danielbrown8149
    @danielbrown8149 Месяц назад +1

    Your bell peppers were probably cross pollinated by banana peppers so in that case the seed will produce banana peppers cross pollination affects the seeds

    • @FarmingOnTheRocks
      @FarmingOnTheRocks  Месяц назад

      I did not save the seeds, I bought them, the the same reason, I didn't want to risk planting cross pollinated seeds

    I just start this past month watching you and your show is so real.
    My question is how do you keep up with everything on your land, is there a video on every thing you have?
    Also don’t seem to be effected by pest
    It looks like a pretty Caribbean jungle

      Yes, please check out my garden Tour videos.
      And yes, I battle with pest on a daily. Close daily inspection helps me detect pest early and I manually remove them or the affected plants
