Very useful. While I have never played the game I now have a fairly complete idea how damage is done. This seems quite elegant. Now I want to play the game.
Thank you for the comment and the compliment. I'm newer to the system myself, but really enjoying how the mechanics interact and the narrative style of the dice.
But what about "brawl" ("fists" or other body parts like a "knee").... is a knee more damage than a fist or a headbutt? (there is no chart in the book) Nowhere in the rule-set does it explain in brawl the amount of damage to take off the target.
I actually have a separate video specifically for Unarmed Combat: ruclips.net/video/G0zxv6VIkpU/видео.html If you're using the Edge of the Empire Core Rulebook, Unarmed Combat is on page 211. Whether using your fists, feet, or other appendages the check is made using BRAWL and does base damage equal to your BRAWN rating, a Critical Rating of 5, and the Disorient 1 and Knockdown qualities. You can chose to do this damage to Strain rather than Wounds.
If you have enough advantages to apply multiple crits, each time you spend the advantage after the initial critical injury instead adds +10 to the roll. So buying "three crits" is instead one d100+20.
Remember that if your attack is hitting multiple targets, the additional damage from uncancelled successes applies to each of them.
As the first person to take damage on our podcast, it was inevitable that you explained how it works.
It takes skill to be this enticing of a target.

A video on healing and recovery would actually be really helpful!
Got one in the works! I promise.
this video was really helpful. Thank you.
Glad to help! Making the videos really helped me graps some of the rules myself

Can I trigger multiple crits with one attack if I have enough advantages?
