    LYRICS:
    Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
    Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise.
    Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above.
    Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love.
    Sorrowing I shall be in spirit, till released from flesh and sin,
    Yet from what I do inherit, here Thy praises I'll begin;
    Here I raise my Ebenezer; here by Thy great help I’ve come;
    And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home.
    Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God;
    He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood;
    How His kindness yet pursues me, mortal tongue can never tell,
    Clothed in flesh, till death shall loose me, I cannot proclaim it well.
    O to grace how great a debtor, daily I’m constrained to be!
    Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee.
    Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love;
    Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.
    O that day when freed from sinning, I shall see Thy lovely face;
    Clothèd then in blood washed linen, how I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace;
    Come, my Lord, no longer tarry, take my ransomed soul away;
    Send thine angels now to carry me to realms of endless day.
    If thou ever didst discover to my Faith the promis'd Land,
    Bid me now the Stream pass over, on the heav'nly Borders stand;
    Now surmount whate'er opposes, and to thine Embrace I'll fly;
    Speak the Word thou spake to Moses; bid me, "Get me up and die."

    I like to hear and share these songs sung simply with one voice rather than with a choir in the grander style. Thank you for doing that.

    One of our favourites. Also loved how you did your piano arrangement. I always struggle to play this one without mine sounding "boring"

    Several new verses I've never before heard yet I've been singing this song since childhood. It became popularized in our Church when the world renowned Aeolians sang their arrangement of it in the early 2000s.

    The faithful dozen dispersed and went to other churches and are still serving and helping people in the community. Being their supply Pastor for 7 years was a blessing in my life. Last August I celebrated my 25th anniversary of ordination into Ministry.

    Thank you Luke. You are such a blessing bringing the meaning of the hymns and also helping son to appreciate the older hymns. I grew up with the older hymns and then the newer contemporary and I really enjoy any music that praises and glorifies God.
    I served a church for 7 years just mostly on Sundays and once in awhile during the week visiting one gentleman that was a member of their Church who was in a nursing home. They were only 12 people in that church and they tried to attract members and invited people to church and they were wonderfully loving and accepting people. It was in a small village and they were so good to me as their supply Pastor as they just paid me for each Sunday and for my preparation. The name of that church was Ebenezer United Church of Christ. We were drawn to sing that hymn and hearing you sing it tonight and I sing along with you brings back wonderful memories of who I call my faithful dozen. Once in awhile we welcome to guests and they were giving in spirit to help others as small as they were. Thank you for that song tonight that lifted my spirits because they had to close the church they just could not keep it going with the few people who were getting up in years and not able to do the work to keep the church up. I cried like a baby when they had a closure service because it was the end of a church who was truly the body of Christ.
