    Tbh Netflix is shooting itself in the foot. Between the quanity over quality, the discussion on adding commercials, making it harder to share accounts(lets be honest if people were gonna buy netflix they would have. If theyre asking to borrow your account they were never planning to get their own account in the first place 😂), taking off/ slowing production on animated shows, and raising its price people are going to start wondering if its worth it. Are you willing to pay more for the two shows you watch or are you just going to switch to something that gives you better options? We'll see what happens tho. But Netflix is no longer the powerhouse monopoly it used to be. Theres so many options now 🤷🏾‍♀️

  • @saratheweird4171
    @saratheweird4171 2 года назад +36

    I personally like Netflix but I haven't used it as much as before, the weekly show and more quality over quantive stragedy could work for them, but another thing I would like is more of their movies getting threatical releases, Roma, the Ballad of Buster Schruggs, Klaus, were all amazing, and in terms of up coming, Wendell and Wild, Knives Out 2, and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio are movies I would pay good movie to see them in theaters but they don't give me the option to do that (I'm from Mexico and even their limited releases are unheard of over here), sadly like many things in the world it's easier said than done.

    It sucks that they cancel all their shows. My family got rid of Netflix because we didn't care to watch anything on there anymore, which is shocking because my family members are very different people. My younger brother likes nature and history, and a few of his favorites are still there, but he just got bored watching the same thing repeatedly. My mom just likes quality, so she likes stranger things, and she is the first to watch when it comes out, but there is so much garbage on Netflix that her interests, like true crime, are buried beneath a lot of stuff. My dad is the type to just watch things that he already likes, he is not very adventurous, and they end up taking those things off. I'm a little different, some of my favorite hows are on Netflix and are owned by Netflix. I love Arrested Development, Middleditch and Schwartz improv special, The Umbrella academy, Beastars, Great Pretender, and right now, Aggrestuko. But honestly, I'd be fine without those because I've already seen them. The only reason we got Netflix back was because of the Cuphead show and Cobra Kai (which I've been a fan of since RUclips owned it). And they will continue coming out with episodes, unlike their many cancelled shows like Glow and Daybreak. Which I was very excited on seeing. I think Netflix should focus on full stories, because people will talk about them. Look at Euphoria, there are a bunch of youtube videos just analyzing characters, what they wear, what's gonna happen next, etc. People don't give the time of day to do that for Netflix shows because they'll end up cancelling it or not marketing it well enough to be popular. But for now, I'm gonna keep watching Netflix, their user interface could use some work though :/

    A good vid for sure though one of the biggest flaws with streaming nowadays as we slowly move away from cable television is Geoblocking. A lot of these TV broadcasting laws that exist are straight up outdated with the advent of the internet, and not every streaming service is available in other countries (like Peacock and HBO Max). Not everyone wants to spend money on a VPN just to get access to their favorite anime being available in Canada, hence why piracy is always gonna be around (not justifying it I'm just saying the way things are aren't gonna be sustainable in the future) .
    With that said this is still a good video.

    The fact that people are now praising the practice of releasing one episode a week just to manipulate you into keeping your subscription with minimal effort instead of just saying "Hey Netflix, how about you keep us on board with good content?" is absolutely saddening. I just want to enjoy shows at my own pace and convenience. For example, as far as I'm concerned, Moon Knight came out on Wednesday, May 4th. That's how all "weekly" shows are since I'm not gonna let any one show occupy my mind for some ridiculous amount of time. The vast majority of shows and games aren't good enough to take up that kind of bandwidth, so they need to EARN that thought instead of drawing themselves out for too long and wasting my damn time. Why people WANT to be strung along is absolutely beyond me.

    I wouldn't have subscribed to NF is they didn't have that binge-watch model.
    I hate when I have to wait a week between episodes. This probably stems from pre-VCR TV, and while you can watch it back on NF, I still hate it.
    When I still had NF, I'd generally wait for the season to finish before binge watching, if one of their shows was being aired while being produced.|
    I unsubbed from NF because they figured this binge-model was the bestest ever model and started to flood their content with series.
    Normally you'd binge-watch a season here, then watched a few movies than binge-watch the next season of whatever once released,
    but their library became so big, you couldn't see the forrest for the trees.... it was too much, and Cuties cama long and I decided: I'm done.
    Haven't subscribed to anything else, Disney's Content contributions so far haven't been worth subbing to D+, except Amazon Prime -I order a lot from Amazon, so I did it for the the free & fast shipping and added streaming service is a bonus.

    I really hope Netflix doesn't end. It's such a great streaming service with some genuine golden content. But if they're really serious about coming back from this, they need to get their shit together. For starters, they can stop canceling successful shows, focus more on actual advertising, and drop the "entire season" airing schedule, just to get them back on their feet.
