  • Driving north on Las Vegas Blvd from the "Welcome To LV Sign" to Mandalay Bay Rd. in July 1992. Only a few buildings are still there. The Laughing Jackalope began as Wright’s Motel. It changed names to Ali Baba’s, and Sunbird Inn, then the Laughing Jackalope. The Warren Motel Apartments, now known as Desert Oasis Apartments. I also found some free beer & pizza at the phone booth at the intersection of LV Blvd and W Reno Ave. Notice the opening shot you can see the Luxor with no Mandalay Bay there.

    Stayed there around that time. Started out at the Sands and kept moving to cheaper places. Ended up here. Felt like it was a David Lynch movie.

    Way before the internet.Robert Plant from led Zepplin shot a video there for his solo album the Big Log video back in 1983.check it out.
