The thing that is scariest to me about Spirit is that even if Magixx or Zontix start consistently struggling sometime this year, Spirit magically have another 16 year old prodigy in Kyousuke on their academy roster that is tearing apart tier 2 competition and top Faceit players every day (1.28 HLTV rating and a 4.4k elo #8 in EU right now respectively). I'm not sure how Donk and Kyuosuke's playstyles would work together in a team environment but firepower is king in this game and those two would be a crazy rifle duo.
Man what doesn't spirit have at this point. The best player, the best CS pro with a name starting with mag, the best jersey just so much aura in one org.
Also the match up was bad for EF. Their best map is inferno where they really do damage and its insta ban of spirit. Then you have ancient where spirit is shaky and EF doesn't play it. Realistically EF had no chances here in BO5
we need teams with high ceilings to start playing, like Faze, the players they have now have very high potentials but arent doing it, Broky looked much better than before but we will see
This is the result of team spirit and Navi not changing anything and keep building up on what they already worked on last year. I predicted for spirit and Navi to have its era in the beginning on 2025. Spirit definitely doing their things right now but I wounder if they picked too early? The season just started and now they revealed their hand and katowice around the corner. Teams will be studying them.
@ you really think Halley did not do their game plant did not left them notes ? He was there behind the scenes. The on,y thing I can say is that adaptation was done but chopper mid game but Halley was still present in preparation

One thing i’ve noticed is that spirit in that EF match were using their standard set up and using up old strats (i.e double awp anubis, donk B anchor dust 2) I look at their T side and they’re not layering flashes or playing for trade like they did at major. Watching spirit felt like they were just chilling the whole time.

@@larrylovestein5352 i think what I said on the topic makes sense. It's astralis-esque in that when spirit are playing like that you get a similar "how the fuck do I beat them" feeling they just do it from a totally different play style if that makes sense

Honestly think we are coming to the point where like AWP movement was nerfed due to KennyS, accuracy reset from crouch-tap needs nerfing and hit registration on moving players needs serious work.
Ngl apart from Anubis, this was boring to watch for me. I have become so desensitized to donk dickflattening teams that I genuinely don't care about it anymore and when Donk is dealt with in some capacity, Spirit are extremely boring to watch because they would have to rely on Sh1ro who AWPs like Jame with the difference being that he's significantly better than Jame. I genuinely hope that other teams get their act together, otherwise this year is going to be boring because we'll all know who is going to win.
I am a bit sad that it seems the diversity in top tier CS match-ups is a bit lacking. What I mean is that it seems a lot of the same teams meet in the important matches. Like, so, for example: Vitality barely played Spirit at all and that would have been an exciting match-up. I think new G2 and new Falcons could have been certainly interesting to see. EF in this finals felt like they hit their ceiling for the most part. I don't think they are bad at all, but imo they benefited from a rather lacking field.
