Shadow's music Leitmotif in SA2 is officially called "Experimental"
I always liked how Live and Learn plays in the background of this track as it has plot relevance
wait what did I totally miss that?
@@JessesAuditorium 1:46 on your video the strings in the back play a sad/distorted version of live and learn's guitar
@@metal6417 Wow I never noticed this, and I first listened to the song almost 20 years ago, that's amazing.
@@metal6417 never in a million years would I have made that connection.
Yep, one of my favorite things about this track!
Sonic Adventure does this thing where the name of each boss is typed out right before the fight starts. For this fight, name is typed slightly slower to help the song build up even more tension.
Ohh, heck, that's really cool! ^^ Thanks for the info! X3 I'm playing the game right now, so I'll have to pay attention to that when I reach it!
Omg there it is, the goosebumps are back!!
I really love how the games used to type out the name of the boss. I don't think they do that anymore? I don't think Frontiers counts, it doesn't have the same vibe
The sound of that typing is burned in my mind, I can play the songs without the typing and I'll still hear it in my head.
The title "Supporting Me" is in reference outside of its own lyrics to the boss being on literal life support.
I've thought it was to do more with how Shadow is fighting against the intentions that Gerald laid out for him, in being a tool for his revenge. Throughout the story until then, that one mission was what was keeping him together, what was "supporting" him. In fighting against it, he's in conflict with himself, or more acurately Geralds reprogramming placed in him. It always seem to me like the lyrics in Shadow's song's were usually antagonistic towards him, like he just won't give himself a break. If he's rejecting that voice, it plays into the distortion and phrases like "You were supporting me," and "I'll be loosing you before long."
@@SSJ22Terris In terms of the song, I'm pretty sure the lyrics are more about Shadow going to Maria for guidance in his memories, and thinking back on her always leads to the memories of her death.
lmao what no
@@Redblaze27 Yeah, that. Not sure why anyone would think it's about the boss. This is Shadow's song.
Actually the boss is a prototype of Shadow. It’s one of Gerald’s first attempts at the ultimate life form. The song Supporting Me is a direct reference to Shadow supporting the team in their final encounter to stop Gerald’s plan.
6:13 What a coincidence, the boss fight takes place looping around the inside of a giant dome with water coursing through it. The water's mostly set dressing but it's also a stage hazard at points.
And part of the proceeding level involves using Knuckles and Rouge to drain a lot of similar orangeish fluid… I can’t help but wonder if the Biolizard was kept suspended in almost amniotic fluid to help with its life support system. It moves so sluggishly on land, after all. What if its habitat just got drained before the boss fight?
The water themes actually go even deeper than that. Lore-wise, both Shadow and Bio-Lizard are artificial lifeforms created by Gerald Robotnik, and the creation of both was inspired by an ancient mural on Angel Island that prophesied the events of the first Sonic Adventure. Shadow is based on the mural of Super Sonic, which is why his quills are always pointed like Super Sonic. As for Bio-Lizard, it is based on the mural of Perfect Chaos, an ancient god of destruction. And what actually was Chaos? A primordial god primarily made of and capable of controlling water, that caused destruction through floods.
@@cameronraymond4960 Fan theory not actually confirmed in any game afaik.
Who ever requested this, I fucking love you !!! 👍
Just wanted to mention a couple things no one else has mentioned in the comments:
1. The reason this game sounds like a "love letter to the franchise", as you've described it, is that it's both a 10 year anniversary title, as well as the very last Sonic game for a main Sega home console (the Dreamcast), and the first port to a non-Sega home console. For all of those reasons (as well as Sonic just getting into 3D fully in the previous game), it makes this game come out as massively ambitious, with two different main storylines, six playable different characters (including Eggman himself), two brand new characters (including Shadow the Hedgehog), and plenty of stage and music variety.
2. The reason this song sounds like an endless and REALLY tense "buildup" without it ever releasing is probably the context in-game, and it boils down to three reasons.
Both storylines finally fully collide as you take control of ALL 6 characters in a massive, last stage as all of them find themselves involved in a much larger, urgent, overarching plot and thread as the posthumous main villain of the game finally shows up and reveals everything to the audience. You've got next to no time left, you just cleared the hardest stage of the game by far, and are greeted by what's the semi-final boss of the game, taking up your time. This is the first reason: you are stuck in this situation, still unable to resolve it.
The second reason has to do with character: in the middle of this, you take control of Shadow, who had been the main villain up until now and absent for this stage, suddenly having a crisis and choosing to side with the main characters. So on top of the stage and boss being a HUGE buildup, there's Shadow himself, who hasn't quite completed his character arc yet, but is in the path of doing so in the middle of this song and boss. Thus, a very tense and conflicted song with no real resolution (yet)
And the third reason might be more of a musical one. Throughout the game at this point, you've been teased countless times with a pervasive melody which seems to be the main motif of this game. It shows up in the title cinematic and in the menu screen, but it never quite resolves or fully develops. At this point in the game you're sure to have been able to recognize it, and suddenly you listen to it for the first time in gameplay, in the background of the chorus of this song. This is all to say that this song, thematically as well as with its motif, in character when it comes to Shadow's development, and it being the semi-final boss right before the big finale, is in part just a massive lead up to Live and Learn, the actual explosive main theme and resolution the game has been building towards this whole time.
TL;DR, this song is a buildup to completing the game as the semi-final boss fight, a buildup in character to Shadow's development and resolution, and a buildup in motif and tone to Live and Learn, which fully resolves and gives a huge climax to these 3 aspects, making both songs even better in context.
Thank you for the tldr I was reading at first but 😬
@@dantemitsoyu977 lmao, makes sense
I tend to write quite a lot lol
the tension release is super sonic, super shadow and live and learn 🤘
@@dantemitsoyu977 Shame. You probably read thousands times more that day and onward, just jumping from source to source. Sounds less like a problem with their passionate gift of info and more with your lack of attention span. As someone with ADHD, I would suggest taking ownership of your own traits.
Holy shit my dude. I’ve never heard such a well thought out explanation of both the thematic concepts of the story of this game coupled with such a cogent analysis of the music backing it. You just blew my fucking mind man. 10/10 comment.
I'll say this: the song is definitely good, but it hits way harder when you know the story and have reached the moment when it plays. It's like eating the icing without having the cake or dinner first. You’ve got to experience the whole thing to truly appreciate the song! 🍰🎶
SA2 soundtrack is so eclectic. Most ppl associate Sonic Adventure sound to Crush 40 hard rock, but I've always gravitated towards the other songs, usually composed by Tomoya Ohtani or Fumie Kumatani. You can even hear early attempts to lo-fi chill hop 20 years before it was a thing (on other songs i mean). Very ahead of its time
Ooh, heck, yeah, that's really cool! ^^
I bet you're talking about Diving into the Mellow and Death Chamber
All of Fumie's stuff is great. I wish modern Shadow themes would go back to that industrial drum and bass sound she crafted for him rather than just rock.
Supporting Me is easily one of my Top 5 Sonic tracks, possibly even my absolute favorite. Very glad it made it onto the channel.
Keeping with the "Hero vs. Dark" theme of the game, "Supporting Me" is basically the dark version of "Live and Learn", which plays directly after this as the final boss theme. You can hear the guitar riff/motif from "Live and Learn" very subtly in the background at 1:47-2:00. Later remixes of this song make that motif much louder and prominent, and also make the vocals clearer and easier to understand.
Yeah it's used in the chorus both songs.
One thing I like about this song in particular is that the character it’s about, Shadow, has amnesia. The muffling of the lyrics in the version done for the boss theme is different than the later versions, and I like to think it’s symbolic of that.
@@spartanhawk7637 I agree but sometimes I feel it can be read both ways to both shadow and the biolizard, I lean more to shadows reading of the lyrics but in a literal more surface level it can be heard for the biolizard too.
shadow only becomes amnesiac after falling to earth
This plays during the 2nd to last boss, basically right before the final boss that has Live and Learn playing :p So that's the song it would lead into. Thanks for the reaction!
you mean Phase 1
@@alexninten8818 I never considered them to be the same boss personally, so no
@@MetroidFission I mean Supportin' Me has the main riff from Live and Learn in it during the chorus and they're both involving the same target so it easily could be considered a Phase 1.
He did miss the lyrics at the beginning tho lol
We need to get one of the Knuckles tracks here just so you can hear how different the sound can be in this one game.
Aquatic mine would be sick

6 playable characters and each has their own genre. They make jazz, rap, rock, and industrial techno work together in 1 ~15 hour game.
If you liked this style, i highly recommend shadow's other tracks from adventure 2:
His theme song: throw it all away,
And 2 of his level songs: rythm and balance(for white jungle) and the supernatural(for final chase).
Shadows signature genre of SA2 was this industrial techno with muffled vocals.
And if your unfamiliar, this game had 6 playable characters with their own genre for each. This game has equal parts feminine jazz as alt techno. Listen to fly in the freedom (Rouge's theme) for reference.
Thanks, I'll throw it into the list. (Just know it's a huge wait list with no ETA.)
@@JessesAuditoriumthis game and sonic unleashed really compete for the best soundtrack i have ever heard.
I'll just put the comment I left on Patreon here to save myself from writing another lore dump.
Long have I waited, and man, was it worth it. So yes, this is obviously a bit different from what you’ve heard so far from Sonic. While the series does have a whole lot of variety (which you will hear more of as you continue listening to music from the series), in this specific instance the reason for that is different. In Sonic Adventure 2 you can play as many different characters, one of which being Shadow the Hedgehog, who was introduced in this game. Shadow’s tracks had an industrial/ drum ‘n’ bass vibe going for them (with the exception of Skyrail). The lyrics for these songs are supposed to represent Shadow’s thoughts at the point in the story you hear them. In this fight Shadow is fighting his prototype (and technically his brother due to the nature of them both being artificial creations) the Biolizard while going for a bit of redemption after being the main villain for the whole game. The lyrics are supposed to reflect this and they tie into Shadow’s backstory which is a lot of explaining to do so I’ll leave that for another time. But the point is, the lyrics are his thoughts and the reason they’re so distorted here is because he’s been put through the wringer emotionally and mentally. Also yes, this game came out in 2001 so you were spot on with the era of music. Sorry for the massive paragraph, great reaction as always Jesse!
P.S. This doesn’t go into another song, it was just looping. You just missed the lyrics at the beginning is all, which is understandable because they’re pretty garbled and it can be hard to hear them if you don’t know to listen for them. I also forgot to mention that the vocals are by Everett Bradley.
Songs relating to Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic Adventure 2, like this one, are all of the "Industrial" genre. All the characters have their level music after certain genres to represent the characters . Sonic is Alternative Rock, Tails is Pop Punk, Knuckles is R&B, Rouge is Jazz, and Eggman is Rock. Supporting Me is related to Shadow so it's industrial rock. The lyrics of this track have been deliberately distorted so that they're hard to interpret (likely why you found it hard to realise the lyrics play throughout the entire song), likely a reference to Shadow's memories previously being clouded by hate whereas the creature he's fighting (which is essentially his brother) is a creature of pure hate. The lyrics continuously reference Shadow's ultimate fate in Sonic Adventure 2 and how he was manipulated by this hate only for him to try and prevent what he was originally setting out to achieve.
Best sonic adventure 2 song, has a feel that is erie and desperate. With a hopeful middle leading straight back to the desperate feeling quickly, working well with the boss as he gives you no breathing time in the fight.
One of my favourites.
Probably an emotional connection as i was stuck on this boss as a 9 year old for months.
Really it is just a struggling cacophony of sound as you handle Gerald's Legacy...which would have been a much better title for the Biolizard than "the ultimate prototype"
10/10 listen to almost daily.
The song sounding like it's building up to something but doesn't actually makes sense. This is basically part 1 of the final boss, with part 2 playing Live and Learn in the background.
You even hear Live and Learn in the background of this song. It plays the guitar part of L&L on the background strings at "To the pressure, everything's just like..." Etc.
Songs like Supporting Me always give me vibes of an impossible fight, or a fight where you're on the backfoot, against this imposing, powerful opponent tbh.
Supporting me was written and composed by Everett Bradley. This is one of my favorites in this game cause you can feel the tension in this boss battle.
Correction, Fumie Kumatani composed the song
The Sonic Adventure games actually have really great variety in terms in music. Every playable character in 2 has a different genre of music you go from a character that has rap tracks to one with jazz and more. I'd love to see you listen to tracks like "Unknown from M.E" from SA1 eventually to see that variety.
It’s such a good song. I remember this song haunting me cause the bio lizard boss was too hard for me when I was a kid and i never saw the end of the game for a long time. When I finally did it solidified that fight for me.
This is my favorite sonic song ever! Glad to see it make its way on to the channel!

Lyrics
I'm gonna be desperate...
Never lose... hurry...
Never lose... hurry...
I believe in my future, farewell to the shadow
It was my place to live, but now I need your hand
Lead me out with your light, I have breathed in
The disgusting air of darkness, but I never lose out
To the pressure, everything's just like
An illusion, I'll be losing you, before long
Never lose... hurry... never lose...
I never lose my confidence
I know you're supporting me...
Supporting me... supporting me...
I'll be losing you before long
you mentioned how the song sounds that it's in a dome, or there's water, and in fact this boss fight has both :) The environment of the arena is a replica of the Emerald Altar, with a kind of semi-bio engine above it, and is surrounded by a fast flowing 'moat' of water (or waste water, it's hard to tell). The entire room is a dome shape to hold all of this, and the boss teleports in and fights you on that arena.
It's one of my favourite songs from SA2 for multiple reasons, and I'm glad everyone covered the rest of the in-game context already! Have a nice day, Jesse!
This song has so much going on at all times that it's never boring to listen to. And it all gels so well together. It just constantly mixes things up, it's endlessly impressive.
the song that made me love the character of shadow the hedgehog.
similar to yoko shimomura sensei making me love bowser through her sentimental tracks in Bowser's Inside Story
I hope you give this song a listen on your own time with the lyrics in mind because even removed from the context of the game it's written for, they REALLY accentuate the music and make the choices within it make way more sense.
tl;dr the song's lyrics are themed on parasitic relationships, played uniquely from the perspective of the abusive/toxic individual rather than the victim. The songs lyrics are both menacing and also oxymoronic: the "author" both speaks about how much they "need" while also barely contining its exciment in getting rid of the "person" that they need from. The verse and name of the song "Supporting Me" is repeated constantly because thematically the perspective the song is coming from really is dependant on the theorhetical victim.
In regards to the game in particular, this PERFECTLY describes what Shadow's relationship with his creator has devolved into and what the Biolizard ultimately represents. Its even more emphasized because the music and vocals sound so distorted and animalistic, almost as if theyre the audio equivalent to poison. Its a great song in my opinion because it really captures how nasty and terrifying being in that sort of relationship or situation would really be, and theyre probably what the character the song was written for was feeling in that moment.
One of the most underrated songs in the Sonic roster for sure.
The song doesn't really lead into anything, it was just a loop. I think you might not have noticed the vocals on that part the first time around, so it might've sounded like it was fading into something else, but it was just starting again.
Also, this song actually isn't by Jun! This one was composed by Fumie Kumatani. She did the music for most of Rouge (one of the playable characters in the game)'s levels, along with some more "experimental sounding" tracks (such as this one). The vocalist is named Everette Bradly, but I don't think he has done anything for any other game (aside from a remix of this song that's featured in Sonic Generations).
Speaking of which, the Rouge tracks often go under people's radars, I always liked them instrumentally over a lot of the other tracks.
Fumie Kumatani is too underrated. She composed a lot of great tracks for some of the best Sonic soundtracks, SA1/2, Unleashed, Colours, etc. but she doesn’t get mentioned very often.
@@MagnyusG Rouge's themes are wild, very complex time signatures
Everett Bradley actually HAS done something for another game: Um Jammer Lammy, the rock-themed spinoff of Parappa the Rapper. He voices a lumberjack who sings a song titled "Power Off, Power On!" about using chainsaws to cut down a tree to make a guitar. The guy's certainly got range.
@@J2ojuiced95 You forgot Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Riders, and Sonic Zero Gravity Story for which she an Kenichi Tokoi wrote a ton of bangers for all three. Sonic Team was loaded back then. You didn't even need Jun or Tomoya to have a game full of bangers. And Yes Tomonori Sawada wrote some bangers for all three Riders game, before someone calls me out, lol!
Absolutely love the fact that you eventually get to listen to tracks I would recommend myself! This'll be a treat to watch.
When you mention that Sonic Adventure 2 seems like a love letter you really are not wrong as at one point it was potentially going to be a send off to the series as the last Sonic game, not only being the last Sonic game made for and released for a Segs console, but the team at the time wasn't for sure what their futures held as at the time Sega was bleeding money and the devs weren't sure if Sega was going to make it through or collapse entirely and they all lose their jobs and go down under in the process, now we all know now that didnt happen and Sonic is still going to this day, but back in 2000/2001 they were probably making this game with the idea this was going to be the end of Sonc. There's even a line in the game that still gives me chills to this day every time I hear it, but when you complete the Hero Story you get a small preview at the end, and the last thing said in the preview all that's said is "Farewell Sonic Forever", which is something you hear Robotnik say in game at one point, but the way it comes off in the preview was in their mides this was the end at that time.
@TreiskadekDevil people are indeed capable of creating fascinating masterpieces when they are not hindered by fear and limitations.
I love the part that sounds like Mellotron, a keyboard that used tape to basically sample sounds, but most commonly associated with string sounds.

This one brings back memories. So Sonic Adventure 2 came out in 2001 and my pops got it for me. This song is boss music. Being a kid at the time this boss was fairly difficult. Nowadays he’s super easy but ah this song is such a banger. Good choice by the community.
love the legend of dragoon menu ost
while the song in the video had a fade out (it was fading back into a loop) it the boss does proceed Live and Learn, IMO they both serve a solid juxtaposition for the main characters in SA2. Supporting me for Shadow, Live and Learn for Sonic. Originally Shadow was intended to die in this game, with it even leaving the idea open at the end if he truly died. I always considered this theme of him trying to come to terms of what he was really here for, and him kind of accepting that he's ready to die to save the world that Maria loved.
This shit gets expanded upon in his own game a lot more but it still holds true that Maria wanted the best for him, everyone else wanted the worst for him, and Gerald just wanted him to be.
I hope the day arrives when he reacts to the music from Sonic Frontiers. Until then, this is nice

Don't worry about missing the vocals. Supportin' Me is pretty infamous for how heavily distorted it's vocals are. They're used more as instruments than actual vocals. Hilariously every successive remix of this song(One in Sonic Generations and one in Sonic Forces) has the vocals presented more clearly than the last, which some fans actually dislike because it takes away from the atmosphere.
This wasn't Jun, but Fumie Kumatani. The vocalist was Everette Bradley

His theme song: throw it all away,

I'm glad that you can notice the passion towards the Fandom. Although you may not have the context for the adventure games and what they meant for sega and the community, the music definitely got the message across
It's actually composed by the great Fumie Kumatani, an amazing lady composer who has written a ton of bangers for Sonic. She did all the Shadow and Rouge themes for the game (except for one of the 5 Rouge tunes which was written by Kenichi Tokoi) which is crazy because they are in wildly different styles..
I listened to this song while reading the manga "Biomeat". This song fits that story so freaking well It altered my perspective of this song to the core.
I adore Supporting Me because it’s truly unique compared to other Sonic tracks. I don’t think I can describe any other vocal track in Sonic as “chilling” except this one. I love the grungy and experimental vibe that makes me hyped and creeped out at the same time.
It’s also worth mentioning that this belongs to a boss fight specific to Shadow, so it deserved something a bit more grim. The boss fight itself is fought against a failed prototype of the ultimate lifeform, and this track emphasizes that the fight is supposed to make you torn and destabilized rather than excited.
For me, For True Story is very chilling because of how it describes Shadow's mentality... he's so pessimistic and can't see the beauty in anything. He's so locked into this mindset that he claims that "birds don't sing, wind doesn't blow," and then just seconds later, there is the sound of birdsong in the song.
You probably get this alot but you HAVE to listen to the titan boss themes in sonic frontiers.
I love how the lyrics are still said in a Wumpscut dark industrial kind of way like Shadow's other song(s), but the lyrics themselves have done a 180 and are now very positive instead; Shadow beseeching someone for help as he takes his place in the light.
Bro
BRO AM I HEARING LEGEND OF DRAGOON PAUSE MENU MUSIC IN THE LATTER SECTION OF THE VIDEO!? YOOOOOOOOO
The title "Supporting Me" is probably referring to the fact that Biolizard (the boss that this song is attached to) is basically on life support and barely clinging to life.
Song: "I'll be losing yooouuu... before looong"
Jessie: *confused face*
Probably thinking "What in the world is going on that they would be saying that in a Sonic song?"
I'm back at this video again, and I don't know if you'll ever read this, if you learned more about this song since then. If you even remember it. But it would be cool if you watched the gameplay associated with the song briefly at least after hearing the music.
Also, if I could explain, the song takes place during a penultimate boss fight between Shadow The Hedgehog and... well.. a giant lizard abomination with a life support system on its back who was the prototype of the ultimate life form while Shadow is the ultimate life form. Both were created, artificial life forms, 50 years ago on a space colony before the military raided the place and massacred everyone, covering it up as an accident due to the experiments. All this time, Shadow has been plotting revenge for the death of an ill little girl who rescued him from the military before he was frozen in suspended animation for 50 years. But he was reminded of that girl's true wish to Shadow and convinced to help save the world from a plan that was already set into motion.
This giant lizard, who was secretly added to that plan by another party, appears to stop the heroes from the thing they need to get to. Shadow arrives to help them by holding it off as the others go do their thing.
And the song essentially encapsulates the feeling of sorrow, hope, suffering, etc. For me, I get a vibe of a twisted, surreal, scientific monstrosity of both the creature, and of Shadow's own existence despite how perfect he seems. By all means, he shouldn't exist. But he does. And because he exists, he lost someone close to him. And despite that and the anger he feels towards the world, he has to fulfill her wish to give people a chance at life.
It's one of if not the most dark, mature, and emotional plots in all of Sonic history.
It's an early 2000s Industrial Goth song for a Shadow the Hedgehog Stage. It's about a guy dealing with a mental illness just like Shadow does in this game.
I love this song. To this day still among the most badass boss songs out there, I think. Also many good memories. While I have no trouble with the boss right now, i spent hours on it the first time. Sonic Adventure 2 handles music in a pretty cool way. There are 6 playable characters and every character has their own style of music. Shadow's songs are usually a bit on the techno-side. As for the setting, it's space (or in a spaceship, to be exact). And well, space and aquatic often do sound a bit similar).
I will always say that video games have the best hidden music ever. This song is such a perfect example.
Augh. My favorite Sonic song of all time from my favorite Sonic game of all time aka my favorite video game of all time. Nothing like it.
For a little context, this plays during the penultimate boss battle between Shadow and the first form of the final boss
One of my absolute favorite songs from SA2. I must mention that the Sonic Generations version of this song sounds more fully fleshed out than the original. More 2000s sonic :)
When you said Dome or Water. That did make me think. This does connect to that just a tad. This is the boss theme or the first boss theme of a boss called the Biolizard. I won’t try to say much about it because story spoilers. The Biolizard is underwater and you run around it where the weak point is the top of its metal shell.
The boss is meant to be a more eerie and desperate feel. There is lyrics behind the song and they do have some meaning behind the story and the character of shadow in particular. It’s my personal favourite sonic theme.
Wow this takes me back❤ I can’t wait to see his reaction to Sonic Frontiers music.
please listen to more sonic and the knight! my top songs would be:

How the ultimate life form went 50-ft tall lizard to 3-ft tall hedgehog, I'll never know.
Are you sure you want the ancient echidna prophecy lore dump behind that one?
Supporting resembles the theme of the biolizard boss which both sonic and shadow teamed up to defeat. It did remind me of a Wesker battle from Resident Evil 1 or 5.
this is theme for when Shadow fights Biolizard after he changed his mind to help Sonic
Yes more Sonic, honestly it's hard to go wrong with any Sonic song.
That bass is just great and has some good speed to it. Man I love Jun's guitar tone, I heard from someone that he doesn't scoop the mids which is why the guitar sounds the way it does. The vocals aren't my thing but they are pretty cool, this has a mysterious feel at times which gives the song a cool feel. the bass at times does sound like it's underwater; the song has a great beat to it. It's a fun song and I don't mind it, not my cup of tea.
Sonic has lots of variety but it can be easy to get stuck with the same kind of song in the series but there's more than enough variety to keep the franchise from getting boring listening wise.
You know, Jesse, you've mentioned in the intro that you still listen to some of the Sonic tracks you've heard on this channel a while ago, how about a top 20 video like you do for the games, but for the channel? Slice the songs into batches of, say, 100-200, and make a top 20 list of songs that are the most memorable to you from each batch.
so hard haha. I've tried a handful of times but there's much good things, I even had the same batch idea. Maybe when I hit 1k vids in the summer
@@JessesAuditorium If you're ever gonna do that, definitely do batches. That would be analogous to the sizes of the OSTs you've done this for previously. It would be a lot of work, though, I can imagine.
Also, damn, that 1K is creeping close, eh? Good for you, I'm glad you're going strong and having fun. See you around!
This song is one of my favorites of all time..
you werent wrong in a way about the water. there sure is... some water during that boss battle pft. it's a battle where you are shadow the hedgehog fighting the Biolizard, which you could say is his prototype of what Shadow is and sort of big brother (who is a giant limbless lizard on life support) he has to take it down or else an entire space station will crash into the earth because of its objective.... so yeah sonic games are nuts fun fact lol.
but hell yeah this is one of my favorite songs in the game1 also yeah there was lyrics in the beginning, same ones as the end, in fact! but it is really distorted.
Don't tell him about "regular stages" ost in this game, he will be mindblown
Can you also do " Believe in Myself " that's also from SA2 too which it's Tails theme song. This song is one of my favorite's and their's even the other version of this song in SA1 too.
This song highlight's the life of Tails and where he started out as a timid insecure child who depends on Sonic. but in the game SA1 and SA2 shows how he is growing and becoming his own hero with out depending in Sonic. 💛
*Shadow and Virgil - The Industrial Music Cool Bois*
I must say, you NEED to hear Sonic Frontiers OST, its really different from the OST in SA, SA2, etc and its really really cool
These reactions are what it takes to be infinite
Forgot the sonic generations 3ds remix
I'm gonna be honest, it doesn't feel like the same song. A separate reaction would be best.
^I disagree, Generations' take is more faithful to the original than Forces'.
@@yazanhawari4441 and what are the odds of it getting its own episode?
YESSSIIIRRRRR
I'm always shocked by these sonic songs. They're pretty great.
🔥
There are a few tracks from the Shadow the Hedgehog OST I'd recommend. Well there are a lot, but I'll try to limit it to just a few XD
Mad Matrix
Lost Impact
Final Haunt
Never Turn Back (end song)
You got to listen to Aquatic Base 1 and 2 from Sonic 06.’ More this kind of vibe.
Funny you mention water...that uh...that's not a hurdle during this part or anything...
Gotta check out white jungle from this game
Please don't fall into the trap of assuming all Sonic is written by Jun Senoue. There are a ton of great Sonic composers. Jun hasn't been the lead composer on a mainline game since Shadow the Hedgehog, unless it's considered a spinoff. I'm not sure. In that case since Sonic Heroes. Tomoya Ohtani has been the lead composer of sonic for 18 years now.
Are you going to soon react to the titan boss themes from Frontiers? It's the most recent game and the OST from that game is insanely great and the titan boss themes have been edged into the best songs in the series.
i will admit i prefer the remix of this song they did for generations. sa2 themes were all distorted on purpose to keep shadow as this mystery character. the clean remix sounds nice
Sometimes I rewatch Jesses Videos
Like today. While eating Breakfast before playing Sonic X Shadow Generations (Digital Deluxe, Early Access Day)
Please tell me you reacted to Escape From the City…has he, guys?
Can you do meteor herd from SA2 next?
E parar pra pensar que esse jogo foi lançado em 2001
If sega was to pull the equivalent of ff7 remake for thsir company I would feel it would be SAB2 remake
To keep with sonic theme here, i urge you to do undefeatable from sonic frontiers
Can we get some Pumpkin Hill next
Someone needs to recommend Destiny from Sonic 06 to him.
Sa2 music.... now this is content lol
I think the version in Sonic Forces is better.
