    I was so into her music when i was living heavily in sin. Praise GOD i am no longer a slave to sin and as a result i am no longer a fan of Lana´s nor do i listen to secular music. Once the Holy Spirit opens your eyes as far as the lyrics are concerned, you want nothing to do with the demonic showbiz...like at all!

    This is my first time coming across one of your videos. It spoke to me because I am also a huge Lana del rey fan and a recently born again Christian. It breaks my heart because Lana claims to be a Christian and even mentions Jesus and the Bible in many of her songs. But she mixes it with sinful lyrics as well. I always appreciated how authentic she was and her ability to convey deep yet relatable emotional experiences while weaving those emotions with rich imagery. But I completely understood what you meant when you said that her lyrics are all about being heartbroken, death, lust, rejection… there’s very much a romanticization of darkness and self destruction which I think many people in the world use a an unhealthy coping mechanism for their troubles. Ironically it only further entrenches you in the bondage. I have recently repurposed her song say yes to heaven as a worship song. However I haven’t listened to much of her other music recently and I wasn’t really thinking or reflecting on why but I think you articulated that in this video. It’s definitley hard to give up habits and comforts you picked up from the world but if you’re really doing the walk I think it happens slowly but surely over time and in some cases without that much conscious effort or reflection. By the way, I find your voice incredibly relaxing! Thanks for the video you just got a subscriber.

      It’s like I know you guys are right but as you said it’s a habitual comfort thing to listen to her but I have experienced everything you all spoke about 😢. I have experienced the romanticism of sadness and dwelling in depression. I’ve even attempted su*cide and all I would listen to was Lana and jhene aiko. In fact one of my fav songs was Jukai by jhene aiko during the time I attempted to.

    this came to me right on time.. the Lord revealed to me the spirit of sabotage was able to attack me, through listening to a song over and over that had that spirit behind it. There was no cussing, and it seemed harmless.. but music truly is an open door, and if it's not carrying God.. it's carrying something else. especially if you're coming into agreement with it how I was. listening to it on repeat.

    I can’t remember if I made this comment on another one of your vids but every reason you gave to give up that music is the same reason I left the music industry as a music producer. For a while I was lukewarm and had much cognitive dissonance on whether to work with some artists or not, but thankfully God blocked the opportunities. I’m glad to hear about your decision to wholeheartedly walk with Christ.

    From the beginning I felt bad vibrations when I listened to her music. English is not my native language, and I didn't know what she is singing before, but I felt that.
    I can feel bad vibrations in music, in todays music but in older music too.
    Music have a constructions that are addictive and influences us. Its sound waves and words.
    Today I don't listen that much music because I can't stand it. I feel it puts me in a state of trans. Sometimes I choose just calm.
    Sometimes I feel like so much sensitive, like crazy or weirdo but I see ( on the internet) that its not only me with these feelings about music.
    Today in the morning I turned on radio and then turned off after a while. ;)

    People say I look like Lana Del Ray. I think I’ve been convicted. I love music it keeps me going when I work full time and all door dash on the side and when I dash I love high beat music like Doja Cat it keeps me going. I need some more music because I have to stay motivated between being a content creator, working full time and door dashing as well. Thank you for this video very imformative✨

    What's your opinion on secular classical music??

    • @lillouye
      @lillouye День назад +1

      I think u can listen to music who make you fill good just don’t listen to music who has dr*gs s*x and bad energy like sadness blasphemy and think like that

    • @xtelfolaj
      @xtelfolaj День назад +3

      I think you should stay away from it. You can maybe search up classical gospel music. Some secular classical pieces were inspired by demons or sung about demons.

    • @cooklea
      @cooklea День назад

      @@xtelfolaj what do you mean by 'sung about demons' ? because I'm talking about non lyrical classical music and so it's hard to determine whether the song is demonic or not. So I've been having a hard time deciding if I should stop listening to it, because I've already decided to stop listening to most secular music (ignoring classical/instrumental) . I've found classical/instrumental worship songs to listen to but I also am very fond of the secular classical music so I'm conflicted if I should just quit it all or not.

    • @xtelfolaj
      @xtelfolaj День назад +3

      @@cooklea yes I know, the classical music you are talking about. You can research the composer and the inspiration of certain classical songs. Some of them was not walking with God. You have to remember the devil makes beats too. The devil is not only in the lyrics of the songs but the beats also. The devil hides himself in EVERY genre of music. I think you should ask the Holy Spirit on guidance. Ask Him what you should listen to or not. He will start to convict you on certain songs. In my opinion, I think you should stick with gospel songs (there are many genres of gospel songs) I understand the pull of listening to worldly songs because they sound better but ask Him.

    • @xtelfolaj
      @xtelfolaj День назад +1

      @@cooklea when I mean sung about demons, I mean just that. Just like how certain artist today make songs about demons. Some of them dont come out with it, but its hidden in their lyrics. Same with classical music, some of them is about demons. Beethoven piece, I think it is called last night was about the devil.
