We are very related through our common early history. Also later with many wars and trades an exange of people during times of peace. And don't forget the big Swedish ingeniiers family community in ST Petersburg during the 1900 century. Where several thousand Swedish families where living. Employed by the Tsar engaged in building factories to modernise Russia. They most famous of them all is the Alfred Nobel family with his also genius brothers. Together they had over 100 world patents of different inventions.
The worked in Baku to make the first oliriggs in the world. And build the first oil tankers in the world to transport oil on Russia's rivers all way to the Baltic Sea and out in world. Only a small part of Swedish working in Russia with commen exating history.
(Stalin was working at Nobel oil cooperating in Baku and making trouble 😂)
The famous Icelandic Saga history writer Snorre Sturlasson wrote about Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
At that time the Vikings gave the name "Gardarike" which means the land of many cities or "wooden fort towns" in Norse.
But Snorre said.
Many named Gardarike (The mighty Sweden) Svithiod hin mikla instead.
Because som many tribes from Sweden have seatled among the Slavs.
Everywhere you travel from Holmgard (Novgorod) among the rivers to Konungagard (Kiev) you can here Swedish- Norse speaking people among the Slavs. The same all over the big Gardarike.

Luego vi una película que se llamaba Nicolás y Alejandra - desde el punto de vista gringo -donde se escenificaba este bárbaro asesinato, pero francamente es lo unico que recuerdo. Me alegró mucho que se puedieran encontra los restos de esta infortunada familia y pudieran descansar en paz en la Catedral de Moscú., según vi en un documental, creo. Un abrazo.
