Where to Find the Tracking Code in Google Analytics 4

I have no idea why they make this so difficult to find, but if all you want is just the tracking code to start tracking visits to your website, go to Admin - Data Streams - Select (or create) your data stream - Global site tag (gtag.js)
That will give you the standard tracking code which you can use just like previous versions of Google Analytics.

Thank you. I swear they want to make life difficult. I appreciate this quick and easy tutorial, something that apparently a multi-billion dollar company can't do for us.

Oh, and they made things more complicated with GA4. I'm not very well versed in all of this, but I used to be able to get a "UA" code. Now, for Shopify, the say "Analytics snippet does not look valid (UA-xxxx-x)". Do you know where to find the "UA" code? Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure you can only get that from previous versions of Analytics, which I don't think you can sign up for anymore. You'll want to reach out to Shopify support!
