Oh Lizzy thank you for sharing this x Honestly yours is possibly THE channel I come to to be inspired how to re-wear and re-style clothes. Your aesthetic - be it clothes, accessorising, image and content editing - is faultless! So what if there isn't something new with every vlog? I think we are all slowly wisening up to how unhealthy constantly buying new stuff is for us mentally, financially and even environmentally ... or at least I hope so! So please keep doing YOU, keep being a voice for us who love their clothes so much they won't bat an eyelid about being seen twice in the same outfit (the shock, the horror!) and thank you for letting us in to your life and sharing so much of it with us. Wish you a lovely Sunday x
Absolutely - Lizzy, your channel is one of the only style/fashion channels I watch anymore because your content isn't always about consuming/hauls, and more about styling pieces you already own. I've completely fallen off watching the channels I used to watch. Keep being you!
Totally agree! And to add on, I don’t care that you talk about things that are either unavailable to buy because they’re either vintage or tailored because your wardrobe is made up of staples primarily. And now I’m on the hunt for some high waisted navy linen shorts! So yes! Just keep doing you! You and Brittany Bathgate are my favorite people rn for style inspiration.
I actually think you're content is the best it's ever been Lizzy! When I first started following you when you lived in Manchester you did lots of videos that most youtubers did eg hauls etc, I feel like i've gown with you because you rarely do those now and i rarely watch them. i much prefer your testing basics and vlogs and your beautiful film photos on the blog because thats what im more intrested in now too! keep doing you because thats your unique selling point! love u x
Lizzy, you are truly wise beyond your years. Been watching you for a really long time and love you and your content more than ever. I wanted to say a huge thank you for all the hard work you put in - you’re an absolute pleasure to watch. I tired to count all thr Lizzy enables purchases I’ve made over the years from the first Jigsaw wool blazer to the men’s Uniqlo tees, the elleme ropish bag, all the weekday jeans but just lost count. Value your option and content so much.
i would love a vintage series! unique high quality pieces that you do so well. i think that would encourage a more sustainable and inpiring way of thinking about thrifting and sustainable fashion. im so tired of seeing the same brands on ig and youtube. its like its not that fun when you can copy a whole outfit with no effort put into it
Heya lizzy I am not the same age group as you, I an 50 but I still like watching your RUclips channel. What I like is the integrated approach that you take to your life and style, where what you see and what you focus on influences different aspects, and of course what you are wearing is part of that. You make it clear that your style does not exist in a vacuum. In my opinion that is a big part of why you promote to me that being interested in fashion and style is not vacuous or something we need to be embarrassed about, your approach is thoughtful and a reflection of the world around you, which seems to place that interest as expressing part of a full life more than a reason to live. Lucy
I love your aesthetic and I would still be watching if you did a capsule wardrobe with 15 things on rotation =) What I enjoy the most in your content is your personality, your sense of humor and the way you share your life in an unapologetic, authentic way. We all change and evolve, glad to be able to witness your journey =)
As someone who purchases rarely and does a lot of research before buying I find fashion blogging and RUclips helps be buy more thoughtfully. So although you may consume more than ‘normal’ people you are helping ‘normal’ people buy less and more thoughtfully. Does that make sense? So you have a bigger impact by talking to many than just being a singular person who consumes less. X
I think it's absolutely normal and understable to have a shift in the content you create, it's just part of making content on here (and on the internet generally) that makes it so. Personally what I like the most are vlogs, especially when you are London bc I can tell that you enjoy vlogging at home more than when you're travelling, they're a bit more coherent and get me motivated to get stuff done too. thank u always for your hard work!
I have to say, for me personally I really prefer when you film using your vlogging camera over the GoPro. I find the sound quality is so much better. I struggle to hear you and your conversations with the GoPro. x
I've read your blog and followed you across your other channels for years. I love how authentic and organic your style and content direction has developed as you've grown up. I recognise a lot of my personal style in yours and what I like the most is how you organically get dressed and live (and share) your life. It's genuine, unposed and inspires rethinking classic style formulas across the wide landscape of your 20s. You, your content and its direction, at least to me, reflect what you want and how you want to do it. While working in this industry across these platforms can be incredibly narcissistic, it's how organic and genuine you are which makes your platforms so enjoyable!
It genuinely feels like you’re having a chat with us, and updates in your life definitely go hand in had with your style. I always look forward to your vlogs and other videos. Thank you for the content!
You're still one of my most favourite people to watch and I feel as if the pool of channels I actually enjoy is dwindling. I love that your content feels authentic yet still creative and engaging. Your style and the way you share it feels genuine opposed to allot of instagram girls who just follow whatever's trending. Your styling video's are great and I think it's super important to change how we view fashion so it's not just about MORE clothes but how you wear them + How they make you feel.
Lizzy your videos are the ones I click on first in my subscription box. I’m 50 and admire your style so much. As I’ve aged my style has become more simple/classic and you inspire this in me. I think it’s great that you show repeat clothing and styling. I can usually find similar things slightly cheaper for my budget. Thanks for the inspiration xx keep being you and creating your way.
Would love to hear more about your dad & your childhood & Italian relations etc . I've looked thru your playlist and couldn't find a 'draw my life ' type of video . Because you've mentioned him more recently ( in relation to watches ) it's piqued my curiosity more .
Her friend Lindsey did a blog post about Lizzie’s relationship with Luigi. If I remember correctly he’s her aunts (mothers sisters) husband and they would go visit them every summer. I’d def recommend her and Lindsey’s podcast if you want to hear more about her life story.
I really like the evolution of your channel - I feel like you are of the few who is really invested in becoming more sustainable rather than just jumping on the bandwagon, I also like the mix in your content - the travel, the fashion, the vlogs etc - feels authentic to me. Keep doing you Lizzy. Edited to add - I had redness around my nose for ever in my 20's - I think it is hormonal as it has completely gone since I had my son.
I love the way your channel has evolved! It's so nice to see someone in your type of work who actually thinks about and tries to practice sustainability. Also, as you mentioned it's nice seeing what someone goes back to and wears repeatedly, it helps to see things you actually enjoy. Can't wait for the denim skirt testing basics!
Lizzy, Thank you very much for your transparency on your job and how you feel your content is progressing. I particularly appreciated your discussion on receiving gifts and how you navigate your content with that. I really enjoy your channel and having a glimpse into your London life ( and proud as a fellow Aussie your with a good ol Aussie bloke ;) Your work ethic and maturity is a true inspiration xx
I am so excited for you shift into more content about sustainability. I don’t think you need to beat your self up about “not being totally sustainable” because I think most people aren’t and honestly I am just so pleased to have a role model who is conscious enough to talk and be interested in that conversation.
But also advocating for rewearing your pieces, shopping for the best pieces (within your testing basics series), and giving your honest opinion on items you are sent is a part of sustainability and being mindful of shopping choices. Your testing basics series has helped so many people only need to but 1 piece of ‘unsustainable’ clothing instead of 10 to get the best one. That is another huge part of sustainability is using and making last of what you have. Also the way you restyle pieces shows fantastic ways you don’t have to constantly be buying new.
I admire your work ethic so much, Lizzy! It's very much something to aspire to, yet it still feels relatable. I've always loved your vlogs where you talk us through your work day and how you go about creating content! I'd love to see more vlogs (and blog posts) along those lines! I appreciate your commitment to living more sustainably and you are setting such a good example for fellow bloggers.
What really drown me to follow every single vlog you make, is actually you being so thoughtful with your wardrobe. And I love your repetitive pieces and I trust your advice because of that. So you being sustainable as much as your job allows you, actually helps so many people to avoid buying crap and enjoying several good pieces. Also, very very artistic photography on instagram and blog. 🌷
I love your content and I feel like I've seen it evolve and mature over time! To me, it's really evident how much you care and love you put into all platforms that you work on
I've been following you for quite sometime and don't comment much, but I have absolutely loved seeing your progression, in both style and personal growth, over the past couple of years. You are an incredible inspiration for keeping sustainability in mind because it's important to try to be better. The shitty people seem to speak louder than those who support you from the background. So I appreciate you and your killer attitude!
I love when you do heart to heart vlogs like this. The transparency is so validating as a twenty-something year old who loves fashion and the expression we have through that, and is also trying to be more deliberate about sustainability, as well as feeling more connected to you, Lizzy. I have been enjoying your content for years now, through the most formative times in my life, and it has been such a safe place for me to turn off, and for that I am so thankful. I just want to put it out there as a viewer and follower how I have seen you take the feedback, even from myself, and put it into action immediately, in a way I hadn’t seen before. Thank you for putting your life out there as an escape for us- we don’t know you fully, but we are so appreciative of you. God bless, love. And, denim skirts sounds amazing as a testing basics 🙌🏻
I love your content, Lizzy! I really enjoy seeing what you wore throughout the week, coz it gives me inspiration to dress nicer even if im just in an office everyday.
I loved this vlog I was watching it as I packed to go back to my flat at university. I really enjoy how you show the clothes that you are wearing as it is much more realistic because I can't just go out and buy a load of clothes even when I do find things in charity shops I can't always afford it. So watching someone who re-wears and reincorporates items into there wardrobe is really nice.
I love the idea of you showing us what you actually wear. When you get new pieces in, you could show multiple examples of how you would style them with things you have. You could also show us the process of trying different things until the outfit seems right. Also, I would love seeing more of how you tailor things. It gives me an idea of how I might modify something to change the style (e.g. take something from midi to mini) or fit better. You could do a before and after.
Honestly I feel like your content helps me to be more sustainable. I've end up shopping smarter because your comments make me think more critically about the pieces I purchase from angles I hadn't considered. That paired with getting inspiration on how to style things I already own makes you sustainable in my opinion. Cheers!
I’m really surprised that you’ve had bed comments about your content. I think it is more enjoyable to watch than ever. I think you have a perfect balance between having entertainment of seeing what people get up to in their day to day lives as well as fashion and style that doesn’t feel like watching a load of ads on the telly which is how I find hauls sometimes.
Hey Lizzy! Have you thought about getting a goodreads account? It’s a good community and ate least for me, makes me get really excited about reading. Great video as always!
Hello Lizzy! I’d like to say that, even you’re an influencer and have a lot of clothes, your style have something “timeless” that, for me, it’s sustainable somehow. I mean, you’re out of the fast fashion, your content is always surrounded by art, photography, inspiration, travel... the clothes you buy and the collaborations you do, everything is in line with your lifestyle! For me you are more than an influencer who shows what she wears! Your content has grown so much in terms of quality. 😊🖤
Thank you for such an honest chat Lizzy ! To me your blog and channel really go above and beyond all things "fashion" : it's your lifestyle and insights which make following your journey truly inspirational. Don't let those shallow comments get to you (they're probably folks who got lost trying to watch another Zara haul anyway). Thank you for being such a breath of fresh air ! PS : loving the John McEnroe inspiration ;-)
Thank you for a great video. Would love videos which talk through how you will incorporate the new pieces you receive/buy in a thoughtful way. The toms loafers for example- why you got them, how you envisage them, how many different ways to style them, what’s the mood you want to portray, how perhaps they make you excited to wear pieces that you have got bored of. Also outfits that don’t work, or pieces that haven’t worked are equally informative to someone who doesn’t have your talent/instinct with fashion and styling. Might fit the chat in your video and where you’re at? I think you’re great Lizzy 🙂 xx
I love the track you're on Lizzy! Love your channel and enjoy so much when you talk about sustainability and outfit repeating. I love your style and your bangs and how british you are!!! Please make more of this content! Like a video with your favorite basics and most worn pieces. You inspire me to love more what I already own. All the best to you!
I always really enjoy all your videos it’s refreshing to see vlogs and videos not being about buying new clothes all the time. It would be interesting to hear more about where you get your style inspiration from and what inspires your content. Don’t change who you are for horrible comments
Hi Lizzie, I used to watch all your videos but I wanted to buy less and use my existing wardrobe more - so I started watching those types of videos.I'm glad I watched this today though and I'll come back and continue watching here if you're going to go in the direction that you spoke about today -- focusing more on utilizing what we already have. You have an amazing sense of style so if anyone could do those types of videos, i.e., reimagining (if that is a word) what one already has -- I'd say you're our girl. Btw, your home is gorgeous. I'll check out your other vids to see if you've done a tour.
Love Elena Ferrante books! So happy to see this vlog, I've been watching you for a really long time and love you and your content, huge thank you for all the hard work you put in! About sustainability, as someone who purchases rarely I find that fashion bloggers and RUclips helps me buy more thoughtfully, plus you inspired me because I have a similar style.
I enjoy the “what I wore in a week” videos a lot ,,,,dressing for your actual real-life day expresses your lifestyle and personal style. A haul doesn’t do that. Anyway,,love your content always.
Hi Lizzy, I am probably one of your younger viewers, as I’m 17, but I just wanted to express that I love the way your content is developing:). The incorporated sustainability, the travel videos and your evolved fashion content are great, and in my opinion ever increasingly so;) just wanted to say that your younger viewers also appreciate and enjoy the changes!:))
I hope you keep up the fashion content, I have been with you from the start, and I think this winter have had a bit to much lifestyle. Also I feel that gifted items are so boring, I don’t think any influencer can keep their integrity when they mix in gifted clothes. Your humor is still brilliant, and I will be watching just because of that!
I began watching this channel due to the INCREDIBLE fashion displayed from your days in Manchester! Since then, the fashion is not my "cup of tea", however i can appreciate the effort to introduce this new "style". I can honestly say that I watch now due to your sincere disposition. :D And some of the travel bites.
I'm late to the show but wanted to say that I love the idea of the camera! A phone is such a pain to get ready for the pic and the shot is over before you're ready to shoot! I have my mom's vintage Nikon and I'm going to get some 35 mil film and start getting some great shots! Thanks for the inspiration!
I appreciate your honesty when it comes to you talking about sustainability while accepting clothes and being paid by unethical, unsustainable brands. You acknowledge the hypocrisy of that situation, and how it's something you need to figure out. The criticism people express with influencers talking about sustainability is that it often feels very hypocritical and disingenuous. It's not possible for people in your position to talk about sustainability without acknowledging that your lifestyle, of promoting unethical fast fashion brands, isn't ethical or sustainable. Nobody expects influencers to change overnight or to be perfect. But we do expect people not to try portray themselves as knowledgable about sustainable fashion when their pay check relies on working with unethical brands.
Loved the video! I completely agree with what you said about skincare- I have too recently gave up loads of things from my daily routine. I am just washing my face with water and putting SPF on during the day when I m outside and using a cleanser only to wash that off or any makeup. It s summer, I don t really wear much, but I have to say my skin has improved and ALSO my skin tone- gosh I m back to my skin looking healthily without foundation and bronzer and all that, it s great :) Love from Italy
Your most worn pieces this summer video? I really enjoyed you vintage shopping I’d love to see you do that more. Also when you did what I’m wearing in the week which was really good too. :)
Hey Lizzie, I have a fun video suggestion! How about you challenge yourself for one whole month to not repeat a single piece of clothing, but wear different things from your closet. Not only do you get to wear your many beautiful pieces, it promotes shopping one's closet and sustainability. I would love to see all the different outfits :) Love your content!!
"Between the World and Me" by Ta-Nehisi Coates (pronounced TANAHASI) is one of the most brilliant books I've read. Excited to hear what you think of it.
Video idea: I'm also trying to be more sustainable. I stopped buying trend-pieces 6 months ago, have been buying a lot less and when a purchase a new iten I want it to be timeless. Because of this reason my closet has started to become very boring because the pieces are all very basic now. How to have a (semi) sustainable closet but still with interesting pieces. I'm lost!
This is why I like your channel. I’ve actually unsubscribed to many who are always displaying tons of fast fashion vids! The quality is horrible for the price. You’re very classic so even if you show something new, I don’t feel like I couldn’t hunt for it in my local thrift stores! Very conscious content!
I loved your chat and the honesty about it! It's always interesting to hear whats going on in ones head haha. I must say (and this shouldn't come across creepy) I'm honestly interested in anything you produce on any platform. I could watch 30mins of content created by you every second day (must get some work done in between). I also loved watching you shop, maybe you could build that in more often? (What you were looking for, where and why, why you didn't choose what you've tried and so on..). For testing basics I'd definetely be interested in shorts (as in not denim-shorts) and Cami-Tops that are not made of polyester because I never know where to find them! Also maybe an apartment update?! Wishing you a great week!XXXX
Loved "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari! But I have to admit I found it hard going and ended up getting it as an audio book as I drive a lot and really enjoyed it that way. Also his other two books "Homo Deus" and "21 Lessons for the 21st Century". Fascinating!
Lizzy could you maybe do a video about high end lesser known fragrance i shop from a site called lucky scent they have awsome fragrances and you can get samples to try id love to know your opinion on fragrance thats worth the pricetag
Love your vlogs from A'dam, and see what you experiencing in my city that I might have missed :)...also love books review! I became more interested in your content due to amazing photography you share on your trips and your style basically...(the style you have now)..so keep evolving.....no need to please those 20year old kids anymore :)
Your content has been a bit too boyfriend heavy for me recently but a lot of people seem to enjoy that going by the comments. You can't please everyone etc.
admit I still love Lizzy but not really into this bf content from anyone.. enjoy Lizzys content of all other kinds including her personal family stuff etc but the bf isnt my cuppa sorry and I admit I do find him irritating and its putting me off tuning into her channel ...
My Brilliant Friend is a great series of books! I’ll be in the theatrical version of it at the National Theatre (London) October-come see if theatre’s your thing x
i love the week in outfits videos. I think some great videos would be more of your how to style X or brand profile videos. There are many brands you frequently wear and hearing what you think their best + worst, worth investing would be cool. Overall, your move towards going through your things, collection videos are content I enjoy quite thoroughly in terms of fashion. content.
Hi lizzy im slowly transforming my wardrobe i love your style im looking just now for really good brogues i love the churches ones but i cant afford them just now can you recommend any other good quality ones similar to churches please help💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Omg, you went to get a sandwich at the shop I always used to go to as a little kid when I still lived there. It’s funny how small the world is, so nostalgic for me haha!
I know your brogues were included in a “Testing Basics” video but I can’t remember exactly what you said about sizing - was it up or down, and by how much?
I’ve been reading So Much Longing In So Little Space by Karl Ove Knausgård. It’s about the artist Edvard Munch and it’s really interesting and I think as an art history major you’d probably like it Lizzy!
Ta-Nehisi Coates (I *think* it's pronounced Ta-na-ha-see) is a great writer and speaker. He writes regularly for the Atlantic, which is an American political magazine, and recently testified before Congress for a hearing on slavery reparations. Such a smart dude - I definitely recommend checking him out more. There are lots of clips of his speeches and talks on youtube too, if you want some shorter format stuff.
I really enjoy your content - vlogs and fashion - but I have found that when you do the outfits through the week videos that it seems a bit rushed? I like the sit down talk through the items approach &/or the fashion videos you did when you first came to London that were filmed on a set (?) - I think I just miss the dedicated talking about style and fashion approach - but you do you! I’ll watch anyway as you’re a fave!
I do find the skincare stuff very interesting. Genuine honest results rather than what shes been paid to plug like other bloggers. Lizzy have you tried the Ordinary? very affordable for your viewers and also a lot of people I know swear by it. Id be interested to see if it works for you and if so what x
I totally support your pivot towards a more sustainable and realistic approach to fashion. My friend runs a vintage store in Baltimore in the US and I think of your fashion sensibilities so much when looking at the clothing she posts on her insta (@bottleofbread if you're interested). Would def be interested in seeing you at work in a vintage setting.
I agree with you about Chernobyl Lizzy! I talked about my friends and it’s really painfull to watch, i stopped watching on the 3rd episode oh god i was so nervous about the animals :(
I do miss the more planned, sit-down videos, though I know a lot of people like vlogs, so do with this opinion what you will! I'm American, so I find your accent in vlogs so hard to understand sometimes!
I honestly much prefer fashion vloggers who curate their wardrobe rather than the ones who jump on every trendy bandwagon and focus too much on hauls.

Thank you for such a lovely comments. You’ve completely expressed what I want my content to be, so it means so much to me that I am achieving that! Xx
Lizzy Hadfield well good then
Smiles all around

Sarah Penna • from what I understand it’s just a aunt who married an Italian.

The fast fashion philosophy must die. I've been loving seeing you styling lots of timeless pieces like the Uniqlo cardigan
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment! I loved that book too! Xx
I enjoy the “what I wore in a week” videos a lot ,,,,dressing for your actual real-life day expresses your lifestyle and personal style. A haul doesn’t do that. Anyway,,love your content always.
Hi Lizzy,
I am probably one of your younger viewers, as I’m 17, but I just wanted to express that I love the way your content is developing:). The incorporated sustainability, the travel videos and your evolved fashion content are great, and in my opinion ever increasingly so;) just wanted to say that your younger viewers also appreciate and enjoy the changes!:))
‘What I wear in a week’ are my favourite videos of yours! And I have been watching you for the last couple of years! (Since Manchester) 😄
Hi! I couldn't put down the Elena Ferrente books. There are 4. Read back to back. 2nd and 3rd my faves. Enjoy! Xx
Lizzy, regarding your Church’s brogues are you doing anything to care for them? Like moisturizing then etc?
You are by far one of my favourite people to watch content wise. I love seeing your film photos on Instagram as well. X
Joan didion is everything. Your book taste is on point
Ahh I started it this morning and love it already! Xx
What top (dress) you wear the last minutes?
Love square neck cuts and I find hard to find lately
You’re very eloquent and your chat was excellent. Wonderful direction & explanation. Well done you. 👍😊
I'm lost!
Just a thought... along with vintage, what about handmade? Obviously not as lucrative as working with big brands but supportive to small businesses 👍
Try germolene on ur cold sore it make it heal quicker , but u have to keep applying it thru out the day 🌻
This is why I like your channel.
Love your content no matter what!! You should continue to be true to yourself and I commend you for this discussion! xx
Sorry about the bad comments, I love your content!!!
Ahh thank you so much! Xx
I love your style of vlogs, very well done! Keep it up :)
@@AthynVixen Thanks for chiming in, I thought it was just me that felt like that.
Can you do an in depth video on your camera and all that good stuff? I’m very interested in knowing more about it! You have peaked my interest!
Can I ask where can I buy the contax g2? I live in Paris and it's not very easy to find a trustable place to buy film camera
My Brilliant Friend is a great series of books! I’ll be in the theatrical version of it at the National Theatre (London) October-come see if theatre’s your thing x
Lizzy... do share the style name and size of the Tag Heuer ladies watch you are wearing in this video? Thank you.
i love the week in outfits videos. I think some great videos would be more of your how to style X or brand profile videos. There are many brands you frequently wear and hearing what you think their best + worst, worth investing would be cool. Overall, your move towards going through your things, collection videos are content I enjoy quite thoroughly in terms of fashion. content.
Where is your black knit top from (in the last skin care clip) ? xx
Hahahaha it was so good!
I know your brogues were included in a “Testing Basics” video but I can’t remember exactly what you said about sizing - was it up or down, and by how much?
So happy to see this vlog i love amsterdam lizzy i go every year and have done for last 20 years im going in september i love when your there vlogging
This makes me so happy !!!
Love the Dior bag, what is the name?
Thank you for the vlog ♡ could you possibly share the model of the watch? Thank you :)
I’ll watch anyway as you’re a fave!
happy Sunday lizzy ❤️
I do find the skincare stuff very interesting. Genuine honest results rather than what shes been paid to plug like other bloggers. Lizzy have you tried the Ordinary? very affordable for your viewers and also a lot of people I know swear by it. Id be interested to see if it works for you and if so what x
Lizzy a couple of recommendations for you...BBC programme on Paula Regu an artist who is amazing and another Beeb programme on Edna O'Brien .
We need a love island update loool xxx
Please read the 4 Elena Ferrante novels in the correct order, it's so worth it!
What film do you use?
26:10 lol that's like a normal day @ a sephora
💗💗
Hi Lizzy - where’s your black tank top from? X
Arket! I love it! Xx
Felt exactly the same about Chernobyl!!!
was this camera quality really not good or is it just me?
Dance to the beat of your own drum. Never apologise, never explain : - )
Hi Lizzy. Lovely vlog! Thanks for sharing. And, you were very close with the pronunciation. His name is pronounced Tah-Nuh-Hah-See. Be well.
I'm American, so I find your accent in vlogs so hard to understand sometimes!
your partner seems so nice
