It was on Timcast, so I trust it. There has been an increase in stories about Asians being attacked, idk about PIs. There could be an increase in reporting them because of COVID, but it very well could be an actual rise. Asians do get attacked here whether it is during COVID or not, but it comes from all other races, not just Whites. Last year, an old Asian man was severely harassed by a group of black teens or people while crying his eyes out. I don't believe in performance activism, but we definitely should try to spread the message of "not all Asians are the CCP and trying to kill you, stop freaking tf out on regular people" but also "don't attack people for no reason" Not like those that perpetrate these hate crimes care though :/

You can learn Native language already although many ( not all but many )Native born people would prefer their language only be used by themselves.
