I’m just about two years in learning guitar. I’ve watched this over and over for months trying to get it together. This has been one of those ambitions that was out of reach but is finally within my ability. It’s a tough go but I’m getting there. Thanks again. I really appreciate these solos!👍
Thank you very much for your coment! I'm really glad it help you to learn them. It took me two months to learn it, but once you do, it's not that difficult. I've been thinking about making more videos like this, mostly with songs not very covered in YT, however due the pandemic I'm unable to record properly.
@@porradewww I love slide guitar. Jack white literally inspired me to get into the style. and death letter is one of the best slide songs even thought it was written by sun house. Little bird is also a killer slide song.
Maybe with a Danelectro Guitarlin? Joke aside, where there's a will, there's a way, but it will need some adaptation, like a slide to hit the higher notes or just play one octave lower. Maybe the first two can be played with a regular guitar, but the last is more complicated. To give you a hint, everytime I hit the 12th fret in the high E is actually like the 24th. At 2:40 when I hit the 20th in the B string is like the 30th in the high E. If you don't want a octave pedal just to play it (there's no need to be a Whammy, a Ricochet or a Pitchfork would do the trick), I think the best it's to improvise, like Jack does live.

Great job, thanks so much for doing this. Also love that you have covers up from the Paul Banks solo album haha
Thanks! I'm planning to do more White Stripes and Paul in the future.
Madly underrated video, wowww
Thank you!
Such a simple and easy solo yet so effective. This and black math are the only reason I'm getting a whammy pedal.
Yes indeed, it's all E, A and B pentatonic. I only keep my whammy because of this and Death Letter.

Thanks! The guitar is in standard tuning and the Whammy set to 1 octave up.
Way to play solo without octave?
