What are you thoughts on posting times and dates?
Of the reels? Like if today was your birthday would it be a must to post the reels in your “birthday” or is it ok to post a few days later as a “birthday” post or after a “birthday weekend”?

Yes! Reels recorded in the app have a limit of 90 seconds. You can also upload videos between 15 seconds and 15 minutes long.

Thank you for this 2024 update on reels! You mentioned you don't use the scheduler. Do you go into your drafts and 'share' each time you want to post your reel? Or do you use another scheduler? And if you use another scheduler, how do you save the reel you made to transfer it?
I use Plann! My content is uploaded there. I get a push notification when it's time to post, I save the content + caption to my phone from plan, and post!

Your videos are so good and straight forward. But how do I take multiple videos from my gallery and make it into one?
Hi! I think you can use a reel template which will give you that option if you scroll through them all. To get to the templates, select '+' then 'Reel' then click the little 'New Reel' box (icon) at the very bottom left of your reel screen. This will take you to your photo gallery with some text options at the top. Select Templates and scroll through.
When you go to create a reel, select multiple videos from your camera roll just like you would when selecting multiple photos for a story or post! You can edit them together after hitting next!

Try prerecording the video, saving it, and then selecting it with the photos!

There's not one specific answer! If your reels are creative and engaging, you might have the chance of being invited into the bonus program. But even if you do, it's not very lucrative tbh!

Thankyou so much for making these videos! I'm about to binge all of them 😂 I want to create a brand new Instagram as my last was dead. I want this to be about my weight loss journey (50kg to lose). This was helpful but for some reason when i click on the audio it doesnt allow me to adjust it where i want it to play? I want to cut the audio at a certain point but it doesn't light up with the yellow arrows just yellow lines
Check the length of the audio! Somtimes only a few seconds are available.

I have a question. I’ve been recording reels for a few years now. A few months back, something changed. It used to be that I could record live to audio, and edit it to my liking. Now, when I try to do that, it won’t work. If I delete part of a video, it says I don’t have any time left to record another clip. I’ve tried to choose replace, but it only allows me to choose from my camera roll, not make a new live video. I’m very confused. I hope you understand what I am asking. Let me say that how I make reels is I find the audio from a reel that I like, and click use this audio.
It sounds like a glitch! Have you tried updating the app? As a workaround, you could try recording the new video in your camera app or as a story, saving to your phone, and uploading it to your reel draft from your camera roll. IG can be frustrating!

Great video, question about instagram. I am small business & trying to use instagram, started an account only to have it frozen but I don’t know why. I am hesitant to start again with a new one, worried that I will loose my work again. Any hints on how to avoid this???? 😢

Just a small business trying to slowly figure out instagram. My kids said to like pages so I was adding liked pages and thinking about how to use it for marketing and they shut it down. I haven’t heard back from them so I assume it is gone for good. So I’m thinking about starting a new one but don’t want this to happen again as I’m trying to use my business name and how many variations can you come up with?!

Can I record a dance to a song thats already saved on Instagram before all the editing. I see all these zumba instructors posting these short reels and I have no idea how to find these free songs to post. Im so lost on connecting the two. An instructor who is doing it is like its easy just find the song on instagram set up your phone/camera on an ipod and done. Not easy. What about copyright on songs. How is music playing for people to move to?

whenever I post a reel only my friends (followers) can see it, I do not have any likes from strangers, like it has not been pushed to the broader audience but just my followers... Do you have any advice?
Make sure your account is public and set to creator! Ideally if your own audience interacts well, it will get pushed out more. If your current engagement is low, it won't get pushed out!

There are some payout options but honestly it's nothing substantial!
You've got some great content Stephanie, but good lord this video is WAY TOO FAST. If you're making videos for 'beginners', realize that all this information is brand new, and us newbies need time to understand and digest. You could slow this down by about 5 times and that might help ;)
