The Dickies were not on the bill, but Doolies did not require ID and was serving liquor to *everyone.*

This crowd is struck dumb by the greatness that is Joan Fucking Jett!! Saw her countless times in the 80's when she hit big after The Runaways.....I've always had a massive crush on this badass chik! Those eyes are hypnotic still!!
this crowd makes me wanna cry. seriously if you have never seen Joan Jett and the black hearts live their crowd is amazing dancing jumping singing around but it's so beautiful because they tend to take their kids and the kids are also into it. sadly idk what happen here
Festival type crowds suck. If it is in anyway similar to the iHeartRadio Festival then no one group is going to get a normal reception. If it's a festival similar to the way that Reading, Rock Am Ring or Rock In Rio then the crowds come to see one big band for the most part.

I only turned 8 a few days ago, and I love Joan Jett and Slash. My own generation is missing out on knowing anything about these two legends.
It's so unfortunate that the crowd was dead but yet again most of the people in the crowd were probably young so they have no idea who Joan Jett is. Joan Jett will always be a fox and a bad ass really wish I could have been there. Hope next APMAS are held in Los Angeles!

Exactly, these people have no idea how lucky they are to see a legend like Joan Jett perform right in front of them. Even if they don't know who she is at least show some enthusiasm because they're being filmed!
The crowd sucked because that is what happens when you give out tickets to industry muck e mucks instead of making sure the fans of the artist and music are front and center!

It was like a little confusion right from the start, Joan looked surprised when the camera went to them, like hey, we're not ready yet...she walked over turned a switch on what looked like an amp then did some sound checks and even then had to be 3 to 4 inches from the Mike just to be heard. Forever the professional she adjusted and did well.
The one mistake she made though was the hand-signal, signalling for the background band to stop playing. I say the hand-signaling was a mistake because I doubt the background band could even see her doing that, and even if they could, they most likely wouldn't have known what it meant- so she ended up having to say "Cut that, cut that. Off. Off. Turn it off!" It would have been much less awkward if she would have not used the hand-signal and just spoke from the start, saying something like "Okay, we're ready." The band would have surely knew what she meant then. But, I guess it was simply a misfired attempt to be suave.
That fortunate people who were there.I live in Mexico and never came to my country. It is really depressing not to feel the excitement in the atmosphere :(

Yes, the crowd wasn't the best, but the sound guy could've done a better job as well. The guitars were way to quiet to leave any impression.

Hi. Just weighing in on the sound. Sound is excellent! But the reason why it sounds like the audience isn't there or responding is probably because we are not hearing the audience mics-just the band mix.
I think the bass player made an excellent job at this gig. Unfortunately he is only to be seen in the darkest part of the stage and not to be honoured like he deserved it.
This is so PAINFUL to watch, and she is very gentle and also fucking rocking it!!!

A lot of the crowd was silenced because of the way they put the sound to the video. They took the audio straight from the mix. It didn't translate well to video.
