- The electric car company from Vietnam, Vinfast, will soon open a production facility in Indonesia.
This plan is part of Vinfast's expansion in 7 Asian markets, one of which is Indonesia.
After expanding and building a factory in North Carolina, United States, VinFast reportedly plans to expand its market share in Asia by establishing a new factory in Indonesia.
VinFast made its debut in the Indonesian market at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS)
After entering Indonesia, this Vietnamese automotive manufacturer plans to immediately build a factory in the Bekasi area, West Java in the first quarter of 2024
The factory will also serve right-hand drive export markets such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, guys
The factory will not only assemble VinFast vehicles, but will also assemble batteries and electric motors.
VinFast will disburse funds of US$ 1.2 billion or around Rp. 18.6 trillion for the construction of the factory which is planned to have an area of 200 hectares.
In the first year of presence in Indonesia, VinFast will still import its products directly from Vietnam in CBU (completely built up) form.
The first product that VinFast will introduce at IIMS 2024 is the VF5 electric car.
Well, the VF5 will come at a competitive price with the cheap electric car in Indonesia currently, the Wuling Air ev.
Well, not only that, it turns out that Vinvast has several electric car products that are very competitive in the automotive world
One of Vinvast's affordable electric cars is the VF 5 Plus.
The car, which is included in the compact SUV segment, is priced at USD 22,900 or the equivalent of IDR 300 million.
VinFast even claims that the electric SUV has received 3,000 orders in just nine hours after the ordering tap was opened.
This happened because VinFast had built a good image on its electric car which was first sold in Vietnam.
President Jokowi also hopes that the presence of VinFast in Indonesia will make the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia more developed and that in the future it can be connected to the electric battery industry.
So the presence of Vinvast in Indonesia will make this a major evolution of electric vehicle products in Indonesia

I am American-Viet was living in Batam Pulau Galang in 1981 for 2yrs. My family was escape during the Vietnam war. Indo was a nice country with beautiful island, Indo people were very helpful during Vietnam war they opened the Refugee Camp to accommodate all the Vietnamese people. @@arikonveksi6133 esemka di gaung 2kan sbg produk lokal padahal asli produk china cuma di ganti emblem nya saja lucunya tahun 2012 katanya sudah di pesan 6000 lebih. VinFast asli produk vietnam dgn bekerjasama dgn bmw
