There are a lot of Bad motorists commenting on the speed of the cammer "going slow" though a town centre. The road markings Clearly show the road to be a Cycle lane(Bicycles having PRIORITY) with a speed limit of 20 mph.
I lived in Hornchurch for years and moved out when the council let developers build more and more houses for the chavs without doing anything for the infrastructure. The last time I was there it took twenty minutes to get through that town centre.
Been a good few years since I lived there. Odd how much has changed beyond recognition and yet some little pockets of the past remain almost untouched. I exercise the KFC just before Harrow Lodge, a mate of mine used to work there. Never been able to eat Kentucky since.

tbf I don't blame him for overtaking. The car filming was going excessively slow, and setting off really slowly after stopping. Overtaking someone like this can be the difference between you arriving 10 minutes early vs 10 minutes late. Especially when they leave such a huge, unnecessary gap between them and the person in front meaning any person who wants to join the road from the junction will easily get into that gap, and they then extend the gap further when someone joins, meaning more and more people can keep pushing in front. The amount of times I have overtaken someone like this, only to see them get left behind and not make it through the next set of lights, and have to wait for 3 packed lanes of traffic to join in front of them is mind boggling.
Video shows car driving normally for the conditions and then a knobhead overtaking dangerously ending up 1 car ahead and still in the traffic so I'd say the knobhead was that guy and anyone that thinks driving like that is OK.

I met someone just like him a few months ago driving through Cheltenham, eventually I applied the brakes got out lifted the front of his car and turned it sideways thus blocking the traffic behind him; he looked visibly scared as I said...NOW DO YOU GET THE MESSAGE, YOU ARE DRIVING TOO CLOSE! Then I saw the police van on the other side of the road full of police who just laughed and clapped, so I got back in and off I went! 🏴

The camera car was about 10mph below the speed limit so was overtaken safely by the Dacia. The car in front of the Dacia couldn't make up it's mind what lane to be in and signaled late to turn left. Was the Dacia driver a bit impatient? Yes, did actually do anything illegal? Hard to tell but I doubt it.
RobP How do you know the speed on the dash cam is accurate? Even if it is, there may have been a reason for driving a little slower than the speed limit that we can't see in the rear view footage. A speed limit is a maximum speed allowed, not a target. The dacia driver obviously couldn't see clearly round the cammer's vehicle either as they nearly collided with an oncoming vehicle.
@@jdaley197931I can judge the speed by the gap that opened up between the cam car and the ones in front when the traffic started to move off and also from the rear video where it shows the bus starting to gain on the cam car when Dacia went for the overtake. The Dacia did not nearly collide with the oncoming vehicle. In fact it looks like the oncoming vehicle didn't even slow down . Dacia was impatient but cam car driver wasn't making due progress to keep up with the traffic.

The speed limit should not be treated as a target but a limit if necessary you may need to drive below it. To make good progress is correct but not at the risk of causing injuries to others . And remember the highway code has just put more responsibility on drivers and that is a busy town centre and if a pedestrian should take it into their heads to walk across the road your expected to be able to stop . The clip starts at a Zebra crossing where we were waiting for people to cross. From the crossing to the 20 zone is 100 yards tops where we can already observe the traffic is moving slowly. My next video is going to be of the lad on a scooter that was hit head on by a car driver turning right. You can actually see the lad cartwheel through the air. He had to have his leg amputated because the car driver was in too much of a rush to notice him/react. I can't upload it yet because it's evidence but why is everyone in such a rush to get nowhere?
Also factor that gps always shows different to an analogue speedo so even though the GPS says 14, the speedo would read 16. 4mph under the limit. Not much in the grand scheme of things.

I wasn't driving slowly. At the beginning of the clip I had just left a Zebra crossing which is why to start with there's no traffic in front. We then enter a 20 mph pedestrianised zone where the traffic is stationary and I stop behind the stationary traffic. When the traffic starts moving and they overtake they end up sitting in the same slow moving traffic as I was? What was the point?
