I also knew North Street in Romford well i grew up in Seymour Road over the road to the bus station the Parkside Hotel was very popular but is now closed 🔐 i moved to Yorkshire for a better life in 1974 and have never looked back ❤
On the roundabout was a public house called the white Hart all us young people would meet up for drinks and have a good time ⌚ back in 1972 😊 then on to the bull and the wimpy bar for some food ❤❤❤
changed so much, when I was growing up there it was a village, now it's more like east London.
Still much nicer than many parts of East London, If I had an opportunity to move from Dagenham to there I wouldn't think 2 seconds.
Thats because it is East London. Nevertheless, unlike other areas like Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney or Barking and Dagenham, Hornchurch in the borough of Havering is still very nice.
Difference between Dagenham and Hornchurch is most are home owners in Hornchurch and not many high rise flats . ,, .

Used to live in hornchurch during the 1980s in a place called at l leornards children's home, next to the old bus garage!
The old bus garage in Hornchurch was across the road to a chemist shop run by a good friend's father Griffiths Terry also went into the bull public house in the 1970s
1970s Hornchurch was good we would leave the bull public house 🏡 and get into the wimpy bar the wimpy is still there the white Hart on the roundabout has gone Hornchurch 😮😮
How did you find Hornchurch? Did you like it!
Yes, Hornchurch is lovely. I even stopped to visit the charity shops :).
Would look a lot better if people painted the buildings and there wasn't so much mud-brown, grey, dark architecture. But maybe people in Havering like feeling depressed.
You mean Essex Hornchurch isn’t London
It is London
Comes under the London Borough of Havering it was out of Essex in the Middle 1960s
basically it is the furthest london bourough so it is technically in london
"Hornchurch isn’t London"
And no doubt you think that Acton is still in Middlesex, Londinium is still the capital of Britannia Inferior, the Elizabeth on the throne at the moment is really Elizabeth I still battling the Spanish Armada etc. You need to keep up with the times old boy.
