Personally there is only one thing I would change about the story: the final character. I wanted to defeat apollyon as the warden personally and I feel like we should've had one extra mission before the final and there would've been three different endings, dependent on the character chosen.

Apollyon's speech about food is actually a reference to the trailer cutscene where the three factions fight over a limited supply of water. They didn't want to fight, but because there was only enough for one or two of them... I just realized that when my girlfriend and I saw there was only one donut left. I'm single now. It was worth it.
Honestly, I like both the Knight and Samurai Storylines. Apollyon is a good villain.
Knight Story: I took an oath, and I fight for these people. But are they truly worth fighting for?
Samurai Story: I will save my home and destroy the one responsible for causing this war.
Viking Story: Yo those Samurai are existing peacefully

@@NormalCardBoardBoxes I think the point of the Viking storyline is that it shows Apollyon’s plans for the Vikings were a success. The Vikings during the knight segment are described as weak, peaceful, lost their way etc. Then in the Viking segment, the raider rises as the epitome of what Apollyon’s vision of a ‘wolf’ is, brings on a new age of Viking fury, and spreads the message to the samurai through war. The raider and his gang are Apollyon’s allies, without even realising it.

I feel like the vikings contributed nothing to the main story of taking down apollyion, they only raided the samurai and stop any lawlessness within their own groups
I agree with the Viking part, they kinda just acted like assholes in the end.
Frankly, I feel the Warlord Apollyon was such a wasted character in the end. They had everything they needed for her to shine as an antagonist - a wonderful intro, great design, and an army of loyal killers at her beck. Hell, she shrugged off a wound that would have killed a normal man and cut off heads (no mean feat) like it was no big deal. And in the end, where does this all lead? She reveals her motivations to be those of the Joker from The Dark Knight (the 2008 Batman movie). I mean come on, she could have been Queen of anything she wanted with all of her assets. War is an extension of politics, war for it's own sake is the dumbest thing possible.
Also the game seems awesome and stuff like the story and graphics, but if I had no knowledge of this game and was to guess what year this was made, I would say 2014, this doesn't feel like Ubisofts best work

Parrot Plays well they killed Apollyon and made peace and I doubt anyone of the 3 factions would break it so I don't think there will really be any story expansions

Ralph Vermolen idunno i kinda like it. Im in the middle of a giant battle and i just ran into several things. Some of it is trivia of the land and others is story, all the time im like "huh no way that's interesting" i loved it
That's not my point. I like the collectable stories, they're great and it's fun to search them. But a key element to the story should not be something that you are able to miss.
The main villains in a story always have their reasons for doing whatever they are doing, but Apollyon doesn't. They explain it as "Human nature" which is just as bad as saying that Apollyon just simply "likes war". They could have had many great motives for her, but this just feels lazy. As someone who likes Single-player as much as Multiplayer (maybe more in certain games) I was really dissapointed. They could have written it like "Apollyon wanted war because of the poverty in all provinces and war makes jobs and therefore money, which would stop the bandits plundering the villages and fight a common enemy." Now I just thought of this in like 12 seconds and it's still bad, but way better than the story they have now.
If they'd give me a day, I'd come up with a story that is at least decent enough for a game who's main focus is Multiplayer.

It's still got the best melee combat system of any game ever (altho I guess we should differentiate between "fantastical" and "grounded", fantastical being something like warframe or NieR:Automata and grounded being like Dark Souls or For Honor. So for honor has the best grounded melee combat of any game)

Imagine how much other stuff could have been in For Honor by launch and within the first year if cosmetics weren't so overproduced. Imagine more campaign missions.

Hervis Daubeny is a strategic genius who had a mind for tactics and battles. He even realized that if he were to indeed fight Lawdad that he wouldnt stand a chance.
On top of that in the beginning Hervis was always in front of you leading the fight. He is no coward, he even realized what Apollyon was and he said nope I want nothing to do with that. So he broke off and went to hos castle. Then it was attacked, he got away, went to the ring, made his own faction of mercenaries who were devoted to him and his money. He made quite a living, having even nobles from all factions come to watch the brawls and duels. Then Astrea came...
I would love to see a second game made on them making peace

I love it when the first three are wearing basic armour like the samurai are wearing mostly bamboo and wood,the Viking more cloth than leather and the knights have more chain mail than plates.

its was a fair fight orochi just was better and more skilled
That was the dumbest fight, it seemed like the resolved their differences and all of a sudden warden starts slashing for no reason
