It's Pat Vegas, with the 2014 version of Redbone, live at the Warnor's Theater in downtown Fresno. Help us caption & translate this video! amara.org/v/C1...
An amazing and fantastic version that now requires for a super recording onto vinyl. REDBONE part of the incredible legends of "INDIANS THAT ROCKED THE WORLD". ☮️
I'm a white guy that was privileged on a number of occasions to witness many dancers in the log houses and ceremonies in the small town I grew up in , but this dancer's costume is one of the best I have ever seen along with the paint...... oh , and I LOVE REDBONE !
@@pablosanchez767 That is so cool , Pablo for I can only imagine that your father would touch the inner meaning of what it meant to be a member of the tribe and honouring of its culture , heritage through dance , stories and song when donning the masterpiece of costume and paint that he donned !
Last week Redbone performed downtown along with The Black Eyed Peas at Los Angeles' first official "Indigenous Peoples Day 2018"...the politically correct replacement for Columbus Day
Still, your age, I don't care, hell I want to hear you, ask my kids and grandchildren, I am not a good singer, they don't care, but I love to hear you and your brother sing and of course the rest of the band!
How old is he now, I love that he keeps on playing, I wish I also heard more of their music, when I was younger and I don't know if they were still in Ca, then, but anyway I love their music!
Yes I do have a question ? How come we all didn't hear about your music back then? Because I would have loved it and it has taken too long for you guys to be reorganized, damn it
Hello Donna! I am not indigenous so I read this on the redbone website because I could not put it into words right. But this might bring light to your question hun! "In 1973 Redbone released the politically oriented "We Were All Wounded At Wounded Knee", recalling the massacre of a band of Sioux Indians by the Seventh Cavalry in 1890. Pat quotes: "CBS/Epic wouldn't record it, so I paid for it myself. They did me a favour and pressed up 500 copies, and I put it under my arm and carried it to Europe. I distributed it to the radio stations in Holland and before you know it it was number one across Europe. But they still wouldn't release it in the US. Even on the 1973 Wovoka album and other later on US releases, “Greatest hits” and the recently “Essential” 2003 release, the song seemed unknown at all. It's too political, too controversial for the US government even in 2005."
Love your music, and it makes me sad, in how come I didn't hear your music befor, was in California in 1966 to 1969,and this was in Campbell, Ca and Sunnyvale, Ca, awesome times ,and not like upstate New York, and Thank God I am not from New York city, I wouldn't want to be there,! Too many people! And guess what, I can be isolated,! Here, where I live!
The legacy of LOLLY continues with Pat Vegas and the rest of the group. ❤

If we are talking political correctness, all humans are indigenous to Earth.

Whataya mean? They were all over in 74-75, "Come and Get your love" hit the top 5, and The Witch queen" made the top 20.
Wish I could have seen this! Music still incredible! The dancing is the cherry on top
Needs the fire of the original version. This is way to slow!!!
Try setting speed at 1.25% - you are now ROCKIN!
Pat's 80 yrs old hes great
Who in the F gave a 👎 to this?
After Lolly was out of picture Redbone isn't what it use to be.
Was the sound guy asleep?
No matter! For me as a lifetime sound guy this was painful to listen to. If he was wide awake just as painful. 🙄
It Pat set this up yes not the music genius he says he is. Lolly Vegas was the one who made Redbone.
AWESOME
Siempre increíbles!!
