UNITED KINGDOM feeding of Red Kites, Gigrin Farm, Wales (2 Oct 2016)

Autumn 2016 we visited England and Wales and I have re-edited the video-recordings we made. Join our visit day by day.
During the second week we stayed at Dinas Mawddwy.
In the afternoon we visited Gigrin Farm at Rhayader to watch the feeding of Red Kites. I have noticed that many viewers like to watch the recordings of the Red Kites, so I made an extended version.
"We are a 160 acre family-run working farm, now famous for our Red Kite Feeding Centre. Hundreds of Red Kites feed here every day. It is a truly breath-taking spectacle which we hope you will come along and witness for yourself.
The Red Kite Center is located in the most beautiful countryside, in the heart of Mid Wales, overlooking both the Wye and Elan Valleys, and just half a mile from the market town of Rhayader. The Kites are fed once daily. We have general hides for you to watch from, as well as specialist photographic hides, all of which are just a few meters away from where the Red Kites are fed. The Kites are currently fed at 3 pm and the farm opens at 12.30 pm.
There is a coffee shop, gift shop, picnic site, and farm trail on site."

Dat zijn rode wouwen Jacqueline. Roofvogels die je ook wel in Nederland ziet. In de winter gaan ze naar het zuiden.

Het is zeker verzamelen.
Ik heb een poosje terug een rode wouw gefilmd. Mensen naast mij vertelde dat dat een rode wouw was, anders had ik het niet geweten.
Het filmpje moet ik nog maken

@@JacqJansen ik heb in Nederland nog nooit een rode wouw gezien, helaas. In Engeland en Wales zijn overigens meer van zulke "feeding stations ".
