- Former President Uhuru Kenyatta joined the family, friends, and relatives of the late Kanja Waruru at a memorial service at Ridgeways Baptist Church.
In his message, Kenyatta expressed deep sadness over Kanja's death and urged the grieving family to find strength in their faith, in happy memories, and in the support of people around them as they go through this difficult moment. Kanja Waruru was the brother of Wachira Waruru, the Group Managing Director of Royal Media Services.

We never spoke much in high school, mostly because he was a prefect and I wasn't, plus I'm a guy of sheng' but he spoke kizungu ya uptown etc. But majuu he used to show up to my dorm often (his university was boring compared to mine).
