I think it’s funny/sad that red talon goes through a more in-depth story than the player gets to. like you spend the entire game hearing about all of this exciting shit they’re doing and unique people they’re teaming up with over the radio but don’t get to be involved with any of it.
purplesupra I thought the exact same thing!! I was actually expecting to meet them and the millitary and everything, but it feels like you live in a snow globe world, where you hear from the outside world, but you are stuck dealing with people you never hear from again.

Same, just finished the game. Was very disappointed to see you don't take part in any of that. I mean why even put in the game if you can't even interact with it in any way. It's a good game for a dollar, thank you game pass.

This is one of four "endings" of State of Decay 2. This game doesn't really have a "story" mode per se. There are a collection of activities you do and a series of Legacy missions you do with your community leader. These can vary depending on the character you select as your leader.
Some of you might wonder why the ending is the way it is. That's why. There's no real set story-mode or ending. This is just pretty much the end of this particular community run after completing my legacy missions and destroying all the plague hearts.

Warlord: Leave or be dead like the others
They've honestly could've done ALOt more with the sequel

Seemed pretty underwhelming imo
It feels like a disappointment. So far I've done this and Builder, working on Warlord, have only been to 2 out of 3 maps and... The only difference in the ending cutscenes are the speeches and people. That's it. This game needs more in it badly.
So what's the point? What's the point of making a community and getting supplies for them and getting all these cool guns if it all just resets?
lil cumstain u could just get a friend to give them your shit put em in there locker then go into a new game and get em to take it out there locker and give it back
You can carry your items over to your next play through if you use the same people in your previous communities. Plus you get a bonus. Also I personally play it for the story so I imagine that I’m watching something like the Walking Dead
Like Ryan said if you start a game with one of the legacy survivors they keep the gun or anything with them when you "beat the game".

I've barely scratched the surface of the whole game . I've had it since last week and still I haven't completed it yet. Take your time and enjoy the game
Never gets old seeing onself in the credits. Testing this game was a frustrating blast! And you're welcome on the juggernaut pathfinding (that bug was one I chased, kept chasing, then shot its brother and chased it again). This is definitely a game worth playing, if you are in COVID19 shut down.

DeadzoneMod5632 it’s a possibility, they’re doing at least one big dlc that adds a new map but who knows if there will be a story for that or who will be in it

For me the final mission is bugged. Ive been wating for 2 days for it to appear. The leader of the raiders said they will be back and I haven't heard the last of them WTF!!!! I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!
If anyone still active my friend completed this ending and after his community disappeared does anyone know anything about that cause he can’t access or even see his community in the campaign selection anymore
idk if its a glitch but i have a sheriff leader and i just destroyed all the hearts but im not getting any sheriff missions to complete the game. Do i just wait for one to pop up?
yes just keep playing and it will eventually pop up, i destroyed the last plague heart and about a day later in game time i got the legacy mission
kittymizfitty it's glitched I have been playing for a couple of days waiting for the end mission and nothing,some say exile your leader and choose another it should work but I haven't tried that just yet maybe I will 2day

Are you sure you eliminated all plague hearts? Some of them do not appear on the map unless you find them

Why does my game not give me the option to do the last mission. I got rid of all the plague hearts and still no pop up on my screen for the final mission. Anyone know??

COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ENDING:
When you finish the “legacy” quest a variety of things happen. 1: you respawn in the same exact map with all progress reseted. 2: your entire base is reverted to default, all projects and buildings reseted. 3: Your entire supply locker is reseted too. All those special and rare mods, weapons, and hard earned plague samples are gone. You’re stuck with a default style locker. 4: your days survived counter is reseted to 0 again. 5: you only get to keep 3 survivors from your community to start again. WTF Undead Labs? Really? PLEASE GUYS do NOT complete the legacy quest unless you want this to happen! I wish I was warned of this BS prior, and I would if just avoided it all together! All of my hard work is gone! Do not make the same mistake as I did!! Literally ALL I wanted was to continue on the same map after the ending so I can move on to another and choose another leader to continue my story and unlock new legacy endings!

I only got a glimpse of some kind of message before the mission. I couldn’t read it though because my car was being swarmed by a bunch of plague zombies and I had no doors. Very unfortunate. How hard could it have been to just let me continue playing after the legacy goals? I was planning to change my map and leader after the legacy mission, rinse/repeat. Little did I know all of my progress was going to be reset.

well there is tons of replay value, and honestly you dont lose any of your characters. there always there when you start a new community.
I feel like this was rushed....
Yeah it feels that way, because they have only minor improvements in comparison to the first game and it feels like they expanded the first stages of the game a little, but then ended up rushing the rest of it.

Just give your characters items like weapons, aid, consumables, ammo, modifications, ammo, trading items and plague cures and it will be kept on them

I'm stuck on the defeat the raiders part , the raiders (Bill and some others) are all friendly and invincible.
I keep reloading and starting the mission again but it's the same result. The raiders are always non aggressive towards me.

I can't believe people are saying the first game was better because the story was better/longer. You know I thought this game was about building up your community and surviving not the goddamn story. But whatever lets just judge the game on something it didn't even try to accomplish.

My leader is a doctor from the military base. I chose him as my leader so we would get extra meds

yes but not on the last mission. Any time you get a radio set up and reach level 2 or something for it you can broadcast to try find new places to settle.

I took a screenshot of the ending of everyone standing there..and it fucking ended the cutscene...
so...for my Point, i took a friend of mine in his game and share my stuff with him what i want to safe….then i finish the mode, go back in his host game and bring back my stuff..^^ at all, so i have my guns RTX and what else i Need for my base again with the boost....3rd time done, now i have 100% of the game earned without any issues.

And yeah the first game's ending was poor, but it had an actual story backing it up. And Lifeline left a ton of potential to carry on from and they didn't use it. What a waste.

I am officially dissapointed in the team that made State Of Decay two... i mean dying light was made years before and what was better? Parkour, able to use first person, runners, walkers, volatiles e.t.c...

Wow this game could've been amazing but they settled for mediocre. But lemme guess everyones gonna say its amazing?
Raw som it has potential to be the best zombie game. Just a lot holding it back, for me it's the constant bugs that make the game sometimes unplayable. Or worse bugs that get your main character killed. If they do a big patch, and add some killer DLC, this game will take top spot in the zombie genre.
I guess the first game is better. Cause it has better storyline and longer playtime. This one idk
