Good story. Just a couple of minor points. Since the ship had no crew in the beginning, who or how did the learn to operate it? When they went to different worlds, does the ship have shuttle craft? Just some thoughts. I am not picking on your story. Looking forward to the next one.
The story was fun, however the meeting with the Empire is suss at least. In all reality, any emperor, finding a strange man aboard his harem ship would go totally ballistic to say the least. The guy would likely end up a prisoner or worse. And then for the emperor to allow everyone to go live their lives as they see fit and take the harem ship just would not happen. That part of the story has no basis in reality. The rest of the story is fine.
Thanks for the comment. The Emperor is old and has seen the world. This is not his only harem. He was simply impressed by the courage of the common man. Not every emperor is a dictator or a monster. In any case, this is how the author sees it.

Alien matriarchies need a male to reproduce as they don't have men either because its biological like the Asari or there has been some plague that killed all the men. So he has to sleep with those women even though it could be done with implantation. The women seem to want the experience and the male human doesn't mind at least at the beginning. But even that would get old after a while. This story seems a bit different that the others as the women are concubines but I suspect his being there is no accident or mistake. Someone tricked him.
The author tries very hard to portray the main character as a male feminist who is gradually seduced by and inseminates multiple concubines that are alien super models of an emperor who is ridiculously understanding.....Makes sense.
