Can't quite pin it down. But the vst3 updates seem to have introduced a few clicks and pops into my audio. Still not sure what's gone wrong but it's all pointing to these updates. I hope I'm wrong. If I'm not, I hope it gets sorted soon. Brilliant products - Good video.

is there a video where you address the latency of all ample sound instruments? never understood why the latency is necessary, why even they recommend switching the start playback within the plugin and compensate by adding negative delay to the actual channel the instrument is on, look at the manual, which did not really clarify it for me. wondering if you already mentioned it indirectly in some of your ample videos?
I have mentioned it. There is no latency. When sample start time is set to 0ms, you get the full samples includes the initial pick sound noise. The full sound comes in at around 35ms, which is the case with all guitar samples. So by default the samples are set to start at 35ms within the plugin for a snappier response. However it loses a bit of attack. So if you want the full sample, and set it to 0ms, you will feel that latency and have to adjust compensation.
Because the attack of picked strings is different with percussions and piano etc, there are something before the highest level of the signal (bar line) - picked noise, if you removed it, a picked string note will sounds like a piano. you can select how long picked noise do you need, more picked noise longer lantency.
i appreciate all the replies, this just seems to confusing to me lol honestly don't understand if the "audio samples" themselves reach the full sound at 35ms or if it's related to the settings additionally, i don't get how having the start time at 35 ms (which goes up to 50) does not feel like latency, but having it set to 0 does? how can a longer start time help with fast rhythms? this just feels paradoxical to me is the picked noise basically what you set when adjusting the start time in settings? maybe i don't understand guitars well enough to understand what this is all about (including wtf a picked noise is) i'll just sit down with the plugin for a while and really experiment with this (fast & slow rhythms and the relation to the start time)
@@rautshsale1948 The start time means how far into the sample the sound will start, so 35ms means you are skipping the initial 35ms to go straight to the tone, while 0 means you skip 0 ms and get the full sample (including initial pick attack which is why it feels like there's latency) The pick noise is basically the very short sound of the plastic plectrum hitting the string when you pick it. You don't immediately get the tone on a real guitar, so it sounds more realistic)

The pitch bender is what makes it sound fake still. Set your ranger to +1 and do NOT use the pitch bender more than you need to. Keyboardists love that freaking pitch bender but use it like keyboard players. And make sure if you are playing a half step trill to key switch the legato or it’s going to sound fake like at the end. Just a few tips. Keyboard players all love the new great sounds that sound awesome, until we get while of them and make them all sound like fake keyboard guitars. These Amplesound guitars are the best on the market; but take time to learn how to play them correctly especially if you have DAW like Cubase like I use, get friendly with the MIDI editing screen and take TIME to make it sound authentic
as usual, ruben, another great video. maybe you have covered this before but i missed it, but i was wondering if one can acquire the drum pattern midis that you use to demo these ample sound guitars. if so, please let me know. thanks, rob

I have been following your videos and I have bought many Ample Sound instruments but whenever I try to use them they still have some many bugs, for instance the BPM settings don't work strummer to riffer or to daw, is a feature that have not been properly tested, not sure how you make it work for you, is there anything special to know about it? I think this could work. Not sure which MPE controller you have, but on Linnstrument it might be good to switch to channel per row mode and play into 6 instances, one for each string; with the rows in guitar layout it could be quite realistic.
Can ample sound guitar be set up so I can hit on note on my keyboard and it plays a full chord so I can play some power chords all pressing one key at a time? I do not see a way to do this? This would be the main feature I would be looking for as I am not a good keyboard player. I can do this in other keyboard programs to let me play more easy? I could then maybe program all the power chords I want to use for a sign into my launchpad for easy press a square playing
What I don't get about Riffer is that the way it divides the bars doesn't match the settings. If you set it to 1/32 I would expect there to be 8 subdivision per quarter note, but it's always divided in 4 16th notes per quarter note, it just adjust the play speed, which makes it sometimesdifficult to line up to the rest of the song when 2 bars are really 1 at playback time, or am I doing something wrong?
I figured it out after playing with it for some time. I'm going to have to revisit that and provide a detailed explanation. It's really difficult to understand that logic and Ample Sound knows it. I explain it in a video somewhere, maybe in my course. But it's not an intuitive function for sure.
@@hifimidi There's so much that isn't necessarily intuitive. I haven't figured out how to change the guitar sound in Riffer without destroying my riff. So no way to cycle through the sounds to see what's a good match with my (still very basic riff).
Did they fix the neck position automation? When I play a melody, all is good until I stay in the low/medium register, but if I go to higher notes, when i get back to lower pitch notes, the automation does not go back to a middle position on the neck, it remains at the high position and the medium pitched notes get played on the lower strings, giving a very bad result sonically....

I usually use 0ms to get as much pick sound as possible. Sometimes I raise it up to 10-12ms for faster rhythm parts

My riffer doesn't show the navigation tabs number and I got my Ample Sound like 2 days ago.
AMPLE guitar following the host? It's the feature that makes the riffer play with the DAW. Or can you only drag and drop MIDI at a time?

It's very self explanatory on the strummer page.
Just want TC in middle position, SC has that so why TC doesn't have that.
