- A newborn girl with her umbilical cord still attached was found by a good Samaritan wrapped in a blanket on Bear Creek Trail, prompting a swift response from the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Sgt. Juan Garcia, with the Child Abuse Unit of HCSO, gives a full report on the incident.

I am glad the baby is ok and I hope the mother is as well. No one knows the situation the baby was born into or the situation with the mother.
The baby doesn't want the mother either. There are locations the mother can SAFELY drop off her child and return to her troubled life. Hopefully not to repeat her abandonment.

DNA can eventually track her down. Nothing's hidden anymore.
I hope the mother is okay! If mom did not drop off the baby herself she needs to be checked. She could have even died during childbirth. She could even be a sex slave. They need to find the mother.

@@glendanunez She has to be young and terrified. I can’t imagine what she is going through now, postpartum. Obviously she was not in her right mind & needs help. The baby, thank God will be okay from what is being said. Now if there is someone who help her rid of the baby, must be held accountable to the fullest extent.

@@glendanunezhow dare you call the mother a “monster”!?? Not loving or Christian of you at all. The mother did not abandon the baby, a MAN did. They said a man dropped the baby. How do you know the mother is not being trafficked?? They need to find the mother and see if she is safe. She could have even been injured during childbirth. You have no compassion. You only have judgement.
Sadly this is going to continue to happen. Let that sink in! Those babies don’t deserve this. I’m sure the mothers had no prenatal care.
Give the baby to the hospital never leave a baby alone if you don’t want it no matter the age of the child it’s plenty of people would love to have a child

Waiting for better understanding of the circumstances, better judgement could’ve been used. Elated that the baby was quickly found and will be cared for. Praying that the mom isn’t a child herself caught in a terrible situation.
That's what my concern is. Something isn't right when a guy dropped the baby off?
Why worry about it.. it's within 72 hours of birth.. should be zero interest in finding a mother or father just place the baby in a home.. is there a safe haven law?
Genetic genealogy get to work, find out who did this and press charges, I can remember when a young black woman gave birth and left her newborn in the bushes, ants could have injured the baby
