Jack, I hope it’s sooner. Go to Galway in the last weekend of September. They have the Oyster Festival then. I had the time of my life. Or go to any pub in Temple Bar in Dublin. Just go!
Truer than we will ever know because the Irish pub isn’t a place it’s a atmosphere of which humans have a particular fondness for the world over. slainte.
We found a nice little Irish pub in Germany and we spent quite a few nights there. Very good memories with people from many different countries enjoying a great pint 🍺! Cheers. Prost.
@@tc2664 it was in Kaiserslautern or Landstuhl. Sorry, it was 12 years ago and we were definitely over served. Remember how friendly they were and having a great time.
Much love you can't do it like that! You would be playing to an Irishman. Roark Marshall O'Banion 🍀 however a beautiful lyric it is. To the Happy New year have a pint of Guinness for me.
True story: on the island of St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands (Caribbean) There were only two Irishmen living there. They both owned pubs. I don't know if this is still true, but it was at one time.
Great band, just happened to stumble upon them browsing RUclips. In all my years, thirty nine of them haha, I’ve never seen someone else with the same tenor banjo that I have, so very cool!!
Found a fine Lee Enfield collection on the wall of my local. It is a shame that USA construction is built to be demolished. The pub had been there only 20 years. Did not mean to distract from your fabulous performance.
Irish Pub "Culture"..........as packaged and marketed world wide for "Wannabe Paddies".......both Irish and not .The Dear love youse.........and help your wit
The tune is traced to a traditional tune called "Napoleon Crossing the Alps" and is possibly derived from a Scottish pipe tune called "The Battle of Waterloo". The melody was first publish around 1850. It was probably doing the rounds of Ireland and Scotland long before that under different names, as "published" doesn't mean "composed".
Love how one band member is wearing a nirvana shirt ( one of my favorite bands) but not sure if he’s aware that the lead singer Kurt Cobain is also Irish :) love the song by the way:) and lovely Irish people!!

If more people listened and lived by the lyrics in this song, society would be better off. House may be built crooked, but everyone would get along.

In the little English town I live in, we lost our local Irish pub a few years ago and that makes me very sad.
As an Aussie whose parents were from Eastern Europe, I love the Irish music, the stories of the Irish who were sent here against their will.
