  • www.landfishtv.com.au/ - LandfishTV is all about LANDING the fish by land, kayak and boat
In this video I head out to Geelong, Victoria, Australia to catch Salmon (Also known as Bay Trout, Black Back, Buck Salmon, Cocky Salmon, Colonial Salmon and Kahawai ). It was a great morning flicking plastics and it was awesome to see them slowly approaching the area I was fishing.
The Geelong area has proven to be a great area to target Salmon in the cooler months. I was using a pink 3.5” Curly Grub but when I saw the salmon were around I thought it was a better idea to change over to the 2.5” Paddle Grub for a better match to what they may have been eating.
Salmon can be aggressive feeders, but when they aren’t, it pays to change colours/styles and retrieves to entice them to bite. 😊
You can get the lure I was using in this video at - - - www.jigglefishing.com.au?aff=2 and there is also a range of other softplastics, metal lures and jig heads.
Sales made through www.jigglefishing.com.au?aff=2 directly support me with funds to create further videos and you also get a great product 😊. I personally pack and post the orders and we now have INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING available!!!

get a cooler. load it up with saltwater. destroy the fishes' spinal cord in 1 single strike of a heavy butcher knife from Behind it's neck. make sure it's dead & then follow up by bleeding the fishes' gills & artery/vein at the end of it's tail bone. last of all put it back into the cooler & let it bleed as long until you reach back home. having ice is a plus point BUT extra salt mixed into the saltwater is also efficient in preserving the freshness & quality of the fishes' flesh.
