Good review 👍 I love these Silver Age Avengers comics.. You are right though about Roy Thomas. He was just an average writer in the late 1960's when Stan Lee was grooming him to be the major writer at Marvel. By 1970 Roy Thomas was an amazing writer as can be seen from his work on Conan the Barbarian and The Invaders. I do enjoy these Avengers stories when he was finding his feet as a writer. It shows that training and having mentors can really have great results. I love the art. I still cannot afford the Omnibus editions at the moment and can only read my Masterworks and black and white Essentials volumes. 👍

@TheComicBookReport I would certainly recommend it. Roy Thomas is the Grandfather of the Retcon.The Invaders is one of the best ever retcons Marvel have ever produced. I would check out the Invaders Omnibus review by Near Mint Condition.

@@TheComicBookReport I did! I picked Batman by miller (because that needs to exist), dceased omnibus, DC earth one omni, green arrow by Kevin smith, Wonder Woman by rucka, Hellblazer by spurrier, promethea by Moore, Superman by Johns (because again, that should exist), birds of prey by Simone
