    Julian Sprung is amazing and I have his books on keeping a saltwater reef tank. Truly appreciate this.

    Back around 1991ish, Julian narrated a VHS tape about reef aquariums. I'd love to know it's name, if it's archived anywhere, and what the music was in the opening credits. I've literally been obsessing over this for years, haha! Thanks so much for any info. ☺

    I find it amazing that this man is one of the most knowledgeable in the hobby, yet so many times he just seems to wing it and it somehow works. Maybe he just has a "blue" thumb or something. Always enjoy seeing what he's playing around with.

    • @Reefscom
      @Reefscom  3 года назад +1

      I can see why some may think this way.
      I think because he makes it look so easy and his nonchalant behaviors at times makes us believe it otherwise but he's definitely not winging it lol. I can assure you from looking in from a close distance that most of the time, it's based on data and from experiences that he has had from well over 4 decades of reef keeping. Basically many of the moves are well calculated.
      When you engage him in conversations at shows or any of the events that he's in, you can see how passionate and well versed he is in the hobby.
      I always find it interesting in what he's playing around with as well and I often try to imitate it like many others 😆

    Wow 🤩
    Amazing video, legendary reefer, gorgeous tanks.
    The tank is lit by LED. That’s quite new Julian, right? I just saw a video of your tank and I believe you were using Metal Halides even then. When did you change and how do you like it! You tank looks absolutely stunning under LED.
    They are Radions, are they?
    Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.

    Hey I just purchased some red mangrove propagules and was wondering if I have to plant them in the sand bed or if they will survive being planted into live rock rubble. At the end of the video it seems that he just had those in an empty tank was that the case?

    • @Reefscom
      @Reefscom  3 года назад

      They can plant them in sand, rubbles or float them. Once they mature, you have to be extra cautious of their roots but if given proper care, they will thrive.
