I have the Door Open and Door Close termination ports on my CAT HM416 BIte Limiter, but the dealership is saying that this model doesn't have that feature. I'm confused. Can you enlighten me?
Hi Chris. Our bite limiting mulchers aren’t equipped with a recycle door like the other traditional mulchers. The teeth on a bite limiter are designed to cut leaving a finer finish vs the hammer style teeth of traditional mulchers, which leave a rougher finish. The recycle door on the traditional style mulchers is used to achieve a finer finish when desired. Let us know if you have any other questions! - Dani
It is an FAE head manufactured for Cat with their brand , I've got an HM415C that works great as long as your hydraulics are cool but I've had trouble with the oil getting hot under heavy use and the head bogs down unless you let it cool down every couple of hrs.
