Does anyone know the measurements of the board? I have deck boards and want to repurpose them and was wondering if the ones I have are too small. Could anyone give me any input. I figured I could still make them but they'll have to be for smaller homes, apartments doors or patios.
I made one at Christmas and got a lot of compliments on it. They are trending right now. Have another piece of wood & need to make a "generic" one that can be used throughout the year. Love yours!
Thanks for the tip Deb! I haven’t had any issues before but I’ll keep that in mind for future outside projects! E600 is a good alternative glue, just takes longer to dry.
I went to michaels & joanns but they were about $4 a piece, I ended up buying the thin wooden letters at Walmart for about 1.75 a piece. I found the exact same chalk paint he uses for $6 at wal mart too!
I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby. Here is the link. www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Wood-Crafting/Unfinished-Wood/Wood-Plank/p/80932353?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI77ya16-M-QIVCs-GCh3-VAwAEAQYASABEgK8-fD_BwE
Betty, I honestly can not remember exactly. I created this so long ago. I will really try and start including the lengths in my videos. So sorry about that.
Loved seeing projects that are finished, not leaving the back unpainted. Thnx for the attention to detail that you always seem to have. Beautiful project.
So cute!!! I have those letters and a board. I need to make it!! I wish I would have bought that ribbon at Christmas time-told myself no I don’t need it. Ugh!! Kicking myself
Hi Christina! I just discovered you today, and I am a new subscriber!!! This was a super cute project and I LOVE your technique on bow making! I also watched your video on your thrift store finds and your wax and peel (with duct tape) method turned out amazing!!! So happy I came your channel!!!
Does your glue gun constantly drip? I have the same one and can’t use it because it wastes glue sticks. I even stood it up where the end points towards the ceiling
I love this welcome sign! Your painting technique is awesome! I’m wondering if rain and weather will ruin the letters? I also found that hot glue was not weather resistant. E 6000 wasn’t either???
Thank you! If you use a water resistant sealer it should help the letters and sign last longer. I lived in Texas when I made the sign and never had any issues with the weather and hot glue. Maybe depends on the placement of the sign though. Mine was on my porch underneath a balcony. Also never had any issues with E6000.
The wood letters came from the Target Dollar Spot but that was back in the fall. You can get the wood letters at any craft store year round. The wood board is from Hobby Lobby.
I’m sorry I didn’t say exactly what size each piece of ribbon is. It’s been a while since I created the bow so I’m not exactly sure. I cut three different size pieces to create the bow, large, medium and small. I make sure to cut the pieces large enough that when I glue the ends together they are long enough for form my bow. I hope that helps.
Thank you so much I went back to the video and I heard the name of the paint I guess I wasn’t pay attention the first time. I ordered the wood from hobby lobby and my ribbon two I can’t wait to put my sign together.

Finally found the perfect DIY video. All other videos required stencils and tools that i don't have. Thank you!
Yay! 😊
I Have A Question About The Jute What Is The Difference Between Jute And Twine ??
I think it’s pretty much the same thing. Not entirely sure there’s much of a difference but I could be wrong.
This turned out so good!! I love it and I love the way you make your bows!!❤️
Thank you Sherry! 😊
Very nice sign ! What size are the letters ?
Just wondering. So winds knock your leaner over? I’m about to follow your instructions! Thanks!
Winds can knock it over.
Hello!! Just watched your video and got inspired one thing I believe you used the W as the M it was just a tad bit bigger!
Thanks, not sure about that but it’s possible. 🤷🏻♀️

Width: 48", Thickness: 3/4".

I would love if u could do a Summer Country Sunflower n Bee Wreath adding mesh, ribbon, sunflowers, wooden bees and a

Love that idea!

Thank Kathy!
I would not use hot glue for an outside project. The heat in the summer will pull them off. Love this though! ❤
Thanks for the tip Deb! I haven’t had any issues before but I’ll keep that in mind for future outside projects! E600 is a good alternative glue, just takes longer to dry.
Love this! I have never seen board pieces that big at HL but will definitely look harder next time.
Thank you Cynthia! 🤞🏻 you are able to find the board next time your at HL.
LOVE IT!!!! Where can I find wood letters, I’m very new to all this really want to try doing it myself.
Thank you Elizabeth! You can find wood letters at most craft stores, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics and Walmart.

What a great project! Loved how it turned out, and it really does look store bought! Have a great week!
Thanks so much Bernice! You have a great week as well. 🙂
What happens when someone leaves this in the rain?
It’s always best to use an outdoor sealer on the sign to make it last. I even recommend using a sealer on store bought outdoor signs as well.
I Also Want You To No I Love Your Welcome Sign And I Thank My Secret Sister From My Church Will Love It 😀
I'm about to make my first porch leaner - you give great instructions!!!
Do you need to seal the paint if this is going to be outside?
Yes! You always want to make sure to deal any wood that is going to be outdoors.
Love the color of your board!
Thanks Sandy!

Hi there! I was wondering if you have dimensions for the bow. Something I could go off of? And the dimensions of the board?
I don’t remember what dimensions I used for the bow. I’m sorry I didn’t mention the size in the video. The board is 48” x 9 1/2”.

Thank you! 😊
Can you list where you got the wood and materials from.
The wood letters came from the Target Dollar Spot but that was back in the fall. You can get the wood letters at any craft store year round. The wood board is from Hobby Lobby.
On the welcome letters would hot glue be better or what about the E6000?
E6000 will be a better hold, especially if you live in a warmer climate.

How long did it take the paint to dry on your board?
krystal whitner not long at all. Chalk paint dries fast.

Thank you! 🙂
What store did you get your wood letters from?
The wood letters are from the Target Dollar Spot last year, but most craft stores sell wood letters similar.
Easy way to make a bow. 👍🏻🥰 Thanks
