- 1938 Kustom Cadillac: Ian Gets This Caddy Ready For Victor's Arrival ⛳️ Part 2!
This project was introduced on Full Custom Garage and now a very special client is going to take it all the way to custom completion. Ian and Victor go a long way back, and Ian knows how to get ready when his old friend and client pays him a visit in his shop. Ian does a little more slicing and dicing and envisioning of his own to get ready for a creative brainstorming session with Victor.
Here are a few videos from Victor's showroom of art/cars that he and Ian collaborated on.

You are a mad man ; and a great artist 😎👍
Remember to measure twice and cut once.
Who doesn't love Victor? Shame on you.
Can’t wait!
Move over Eric. Victor is god.
Can't wait to see Victor again. Love the way you and Jamie carry on.😂
I’m just the opposite , i can hardly stand it when someone has a little money and cant make up his mind about anything , it goes on and on and on… 😮😴😷
Ian and Victor. A dynamic duo. Love you guys together. Best of ideas.
I can't wait to see Victor and Ian work together "Live" I enjoy your RUclips better then the show as we get to see the full build. As always great work Jamie for all your questions and great work.
Jamie, just to let you know your camera work and editing do not go unnoticed loving it!
The long nose is what it needs. No one ever leaves the long nose anymore but once you see one with it, it draws you in.
I'm with ya !!!
The long nose is what makes this car. Looks like a car I remember from an old Woody Woodpecker cartoon that a wolf in a zuitsuit drove.😂
Yeah, and a nice strip of trim from the flying lady all the way up the center of the hood to the center post of the windshield would be elegant.
And a straight 8 motor !
Glad to hear Victor coming out, life is Great!
Jamies laugh is addictive. 😀😃😄🙃😄. Another fine job ian and jonie 👍
Man, Ian is just a metal magician
The Duvall windshield would look great, I wonder why the car rejected it ??? LOL I haven't seen Victor since the other show. It will be good to see him again.
Ian is hamming it up and loving cutting up the caddy before Victor arrives. Thank you Jaimie and Ian for another great video. Congrats on the 100k subscribers!🎉
The Duvall style windshield is the way to go
I agree the long hood to me is what makes the car stand out the Duvallstylewindshied makes it stand out even more that being said Ian does a lot of things that i dont agree with till he gets finished with it then I realize after seeing his way is the reason why he’s the best
Brilliant Ian UK watching 🇬🇧🙏
Alright more Jamie and Ian what a way to start the Day
You know the Dude is still giving you inputs on these builds. He knocked over your windshield center peice is protest! He is now the shop angel inspector!
Victor is one cool guy. His creativity is always spot on in the end.
Automotive Art -
To error is human
To repair is divine
To make all mistakes into Art - is FRIGGIN' AWSOME TALENT. We are watching a master at work - thank you BOTH for sharing!
So glad you’re working with Victor!
Thanks for the tips Ian. I would really like to see you cast the front windshield surround. I have never tried to cast my own parts before. Maybe 3D printing. lol. Thanks for the video Jamie.
Chef kiss 😂 breaking the movie magic windshield
That DuvalL windshield is definitely the way to go. I know you were concerned that it made the front end. Look too long, but I kind of like that. It’s kind of elegant. I definitely, definitely love the idea of the boat tail. There is something about a car with a boat tail that just screams elegance. I think what you will end up with is a hot rod with elegance which is something different that I have never seen. Thanks for another great video Ian. Blessings to both of you from England.
Jamie is a veteran..thank you for your service..Semper Fi
ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THE GUAGE GOING UP AND DOWN WHILE IAN WAS GRINDING THE A PILLAR HAHAHAHA
Yep
Could Caddy Wack be Christine's long lost cousin?
🚀😂👍

love the loooong nose on the car with that centre piece swept back low, getting strong great gatsby vibes from it
This is CaddyWhack, Ian cut right through the wiper stand...😂😂😂 I LOVE THIS SHOW!
Ian I think you should call it whacked caddy cause you whacked it, chopped it sliced it diced it. Still very awesome and I would be happy to park it in my garage
I love the long hood on it, makes it classy. You'll have to hang the RUclips plaque where we can see it in the shop somewhere. 😊👌
Jamie is such a welcome addition to watching Ian work! Throw back in "the Enhancer" and this going to be even more fun! Can't wait! 😊👍🙏🙏
Love the show !
Never got to see what you did with the custom body on Victor's Porsche. Would love to see an episode on that.💯
Keep up the great work ‼️🍻
What's really great about how you fabricate is how raw it is. No fancy tools, no million dollar shop, just basic tools, imagination and talent. Your creations are just as good or better than these "professional" fabricators. Plus you're more fun to watch.
Yes he's very resourceful..
Following with interest. Have a good week and congratulations on 100,000. Marc from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks a million!
I think you're on a way to a winner here Ian 👍 can't wait to hear Victor's input 😀👍
Hi you two!!! Love everything that you do!!!!
Another fun project watching this one come together it's going to be interesting thanks
I have used "muggy weld" to weld pot metal like the hood ornaments and grills. You can even weld steel to pot metal and it will hold up.amazing stuff. Jack from Missouri
Happy Sunday ! Tuned in this morning to watch post and see you guys hit 100k !! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Keep it up 👍
🎉
Thanks 😊
Absolutely adore Victor and his input...he truly cares about the end product and he definitely has an artistic eye for shapes and form...
He will know exactly where the windscreen goes, and it will look amazing when it's done...
Will be very cool to see Ian and Victor getting the Band back together 🎸🎸🤙🤙🤟🤟🇳🇿🦘
Oh... My goodness your channel is now officially over 100k subs... A wonderful achievement by the channel! 🎉🎉🎉
CONGRATULATIONS!
On to the NEXT MILESTONE... 1 MILLION SUBS! 📢🥁‼️
I like the long front end with slope windshield.
congratulaions on the FIRST 100,000. I remember Victor from the tv show. I cant wait to see where y'all take this. Jamie I really like where you've taken the video work it keeps you interested.
Thank you!!!
This Caddy, as it has been trimmed and without its doors, looks kind of like an oversized TriumphTR3. Removing its windshield may change that. This is my favorite show of any and all of TV type media! Thanks Ian and Jamie! God Bless!
Ian , You Will be pleasantly surprised. That car is a gem. Congratulations!!! Greetings to all!?!?
I would suggest Victor and you check out the Delahaye 175S Saoutchik roadster. The windshield design would work perfectly on this project. Plus this is the most beautiful car ever built.
I need an entire hour of Victor and Ian just envisioning!
Tomorrow! It’s a fun one
Anyone besides me love the music in these videos?
Me!!! 🙋🏻♀️ ~ Jamie
Always diggin the tunes !
Always loving the tunes.
Looks awesome Ian!
The magnet is an earth magnetic. Super strong like you Ian
That straight edge/long sanding block piece of metal now also works as glass remover
😂😂😂😎
Yes, rumble seat. Great idea!
Jamie, the sound for the broken glass is added post production by foley artists. Today it's all digital but back when westerns were popular, they used people who made the sounds. Like the sound of an arm breaking is done by breaking a celery stick.
Because I hear it helps you because I look forward to seeing every episode. You and Jamie are a great team and I enjoy watching you guys create?❤ That's why I comment and like and of course subscribe. Keep up the good work
Thanks!
Laid back screen and a boat tail, plenty of plush leather inside, beautiful!!
I think Victor is going to love it.
That looks awesome 👌 👏 👍 great choice on those BUMPERS FROM A 47 CADDY. I DIDTHE SAMETHING TO MY 48 FLEETMASTER .I INSTALLED THE 47 CADDY BUMPERS TOO. THEY CAME OUT AWESOME.
That magnet would pull the steel piece in my hand through the skin 😯
Interesting build, with the lines I see a frameless windshield and the doors similar to a triumph tr3, doors like that would match the rear fender lines beautifully ...
Ian The windshield Laid back was cool and see what Victor has in mind Sorry Dude But the start was Awesome TCOMITY
It will be awesome to see Victor again. He is a character but has good knowledge and ideas.
Oh Ian if you watch the video when you are cutting the windshield and dash out, your grinder was doing approximately 40 miles an hour. Watch it and you will see what I am referring to LOL.
I liked the way it looked before but it takes on a completly different look now. I looks simular to one of my favorite cars, a triumph tr3. Would love to see the same style doors as the tr3.
Thanks for Sharing... You Make Everything Look Sooo Easy. Because of Your Skills and Experience.
I am SOOO looking forward to seeing Victor!
Crazy to hear you talk about victor, definitely not a bad thing you and victor have put together some amazing and awesome looking Rides… just sounded like the ‘Ol days 😎
Congrats Ian and Jamie, I opened this one up to view and noted 100K subscribers. Bring on the Plaque, you guys are metrically legit...👍
Congratulations on hitting the 100K mark!!!
Thanks for your service Jamie. And beyond in EMS/hospital where mine was for 33 years. My fav/lucky number is 9 also, Ian. Saw Victors arrival video already. Brings back cool fabrication memories.
🏆I would like to cruise in that🍀Ride👀✌️
'Attempting anything you see here is at your own risk' *Ian whistling*. haha
Theres actually a pot- metal "weld kit"...Muggy weld....works awesone
Ian! Whats your decision for a new windshield? How about "DUVAL" Windshield?
So close to 100k
Allright Ian ! You and Victor creating again together! Can't wait to see !👍😎
99.8 how exciting, can’t wait to see more of the Cacho Caddy
You are on point with that windshield.
Thanks for sharing with us.
I love how Victor thinks. He is a true artist. Happy Friday
I think Plymouth back in 1953? had a bumper that was ribbed along the width. That might look good on the Caddy.
Cool Ian! From Africa 🇿🇦 ✌️✌️✌️😊
Nice to see that SA flag!😊
Victor is great! Could hear him talk all day!!
I like the frameless windshield idea
congrats on 100k, hope youtube showers you with blessings 🎉😊
Is there a party when you guys reach 100K Congrats you deserve it.
I was wondering about Victor the other day. It will be good to see how hes doing and what hes up to lately.
Congratulations on the 100,000 subscribers you deserve it thanks for sharing
I can’t wait to see victors response, Ian what did you do to my car??? Just kidding! Now all we need to do is change 3 more things and it will be perfect? I think? Love that guy and his mono tone !!!
Congrats on 100K...those bumper horns look like early '50s Caddy or Mercury, one😎👍
Congratulations on 100,000 many more to come.🥇🌟🌟
Love the brace - sanding block - windshield removal TOOL...😁
Jamie’s sense of humor’s a plus✅
Ian Is a professional metal butcher!!
Do try this at home!!
Love the music during the windscreen removal scene!
Me to, i had a boogie going on in my recliner.
Philippines is watching you
Love the long nose !!! Definitely has character!!!
Might be cool to have that detail under the headlight continue down over the bumper.
Congratulations on hitting 100k! Love watching your creative process while you construct your unique creations. Have you thought of using the original windshield surround, but trim the top corners to follow the curve of the trim/ future glass and then lay it back at almost the same angle of the cast piece you were using as a mock up? Just a thought. Can’t wait to see what the finished product.
Awesomeness 👍
It's going to nice to see Victor again.... Hey why not do an episode where all the friends-clients we met back on the TV show, come to present day for a visit and chat about what they have done with the cars in the passing years..???
Looks great
We miss seeing Victor with you Ian. Jamie will "ring him in"? Just kidding but can't wait for the next installment.
Ian ... the look of the front with that laid back boat tail windscreen, kind of reminds me of those cartoon ('Roger Rabbit') style old cars .... the kind where the car bends as it takes corners ...? I like the look of that long front end with the convertible top. I didn't at first ... but now to see Victor's ideas .....
Put the roadster style windshield posts on the lip of the hood of the car. Gives you that shortened nose effect your looking for. It would be completely unique and functional. It gives you the larger dash area as well. Hope the idea helps Ian :) Good luck with the build and can’t wait to see what comes next.
