Great tutorial!.. What I love about the show is that this tune is played constantly through almost every scene of all the episodes.. hard to get this song out of your head.. such a great song.. thanks for the lesson!
Many people can play. But not every person can teach. You are an amazing teacher. You made what seemed to be an intimidating piece into something amazingly easy to comprehend. Thank you so much for this.
Great tutorial! I've literally never played piano (or anything) before and after thirty minutes practise with this video I can play the right hand part! (The plinky plonk stuff). Awesome teaching.
Thank you SO much!!! I haven’t played piano in 40 years and I just learned this in an hour thanks to your amazing teaching skills. I am still fiddling around with the left hand octaves bit at the end but I’ve nailed the rest. I was so enchanted by this piece but the thought of playing it seemed daunting… you broke it down so masterfully… I wish I could hire you as a piano teacher. Do you teach over zoom?
It's a great vid. Picked up v quickly and I don't play piano. Just guitar which I've learned it on. I figured out the melody myself of course but the chords are why I came here. Started with sheet music but it takes me an eternity to sync with playing since my knowledge of both is rudimentary... This song legit makes me want to learn piano.
hey thanks for this! best tutorial of playing piano online! i cant read music but for some reason have been playing piano for 10 years, and the only way i learn is by visually copying someone so thank you!
That tutorial is AWESOME!! I know the song and would hear it in my sleep during season one. To be able to hear it..to FEEL it, and now to play it is just crazy fun! I’ll work on the fancy stuff. Just a play by ear girl here!!
I don't even play the piano or own one, but found this man and this video to be amazingly impressive and fascinating. I watched the entire thing! haha Great video You're absolutely brilliant mate
It's awesome when all the super skilled tutorials do a great tutorial and splash you with their flavor of playing and remind you how much you suck at playing and practicing😂 but made respect thanks for teaching😊
Everything's perfect, EXCEPT...on the 2nd downbeat of the second 2/4 measure (if that's what it is?) it's not an F#, G, F#, G phrase... it's actually more interesting than that: it's an E, F, F#, F phrase leading right into the next string of F, E flat, D flat, D, Eflat, D. But other than that, thanks so much!
Thanks for lesson! I really enjoy this song. My biggest challenge is to get the rhythm correct with the bass and treble together, but a normal struggle for me.
Awesome thanks but please acknowledge the composer! Also while playing Beethoven’s Pathétique I recognized the roots of the theme around bar 267 of the 1st movement.
Something mission on the score that is played in the actual theme tune. The first right hand chord sounds more discordant and disjointed when played in the actual theme. Perhaps the three notes are not even struck simultaneously bur rather slightly staggered.
Can someone play this song on synthesia app and record it using built in feature "free play". I really need midi file to teach myself this beautiful song.
Great tutorial!.. What I love about the show is that this tune is played constantly through almost every scene of all the episodes.. hard to get this song out of your head.. such a great song.. thanks for the lesson!
soo true, others are just different variations...

That song is so demented. I was waiting for Frankenstein's monster to come walking out. Absolutely love it. Great lesson bud.
Thanks!
Had a concert and followed by a dinner with Mr. Britell last night. It was truly amazing
Just discovered this show... immediately once I heard the theme I had to pick it up.
Brilliant tutorial mate, thanks!!!
Amazing amazing amazing!! Go directly to 6:20 UNBELIEVABLE!
Great tutorial! I've literally never played piano (or anything) before and after thirty minutes practise with this video I can play the right hand part! (The plinky plonk stuff). Awesome teaching.
Same and then I tried the second part and got completely humbled

Wow, never knew my tutorials can be entertaining to some who didn’t intend to use it to learn 😯
Me too!!!! Totally fab!!!!
I just bought keyboard after watching his videos
@@anandmahamuni5442 I broke my keyboard earlier :( snapped a key somehow... Maybe I shouldn't have used a mallet to play but eh
@@illestvillain1971YOU DID WHAT
Do you think you can perhaps elaborate the last third of the video like the additional chords on the left hand to make it sound like the theme?
Great Piano Tutorial!!!! I haven’t watched the show yet, but when I heard this playing I was like, I got to learn how to play this :)
It's awesome when all the super skilled tutorials do a great tutorial and splash you with their flavor of playing and remind you how much you suck at playing and practicing😂 but made respect thanks for teaching😊
Thanks for sharing, man! 🙌
Thank you so much for this!! You're a real one
Omg thank you!! I don't know why i couldn't find this video a year or 2 a go!❣💕

How can we improv after the short theme? Can we continue LFH but what scale do we use to improvise in the right?
thank you so much!!!! that's amazing
Great theme by Nicholas Britell, so wish I could play it!
I managed to learn this in 4 hours across 2 days, I know this video is old but any chance of a tutorial on the rest of the theme song😭
Can you please write down the score online, it would be easier to practice
Would you also like a slice of chocolate cake and cup of tea lmao. You can always take notes or rewatching sections I think he’s done a great job
Sir you need a higher credit score for that request.
@@xlegendariesgaming8846 Lmao 😂😂

Would you also like him to bend over backwards and feed you your fucking dinner?
great tutorial!!
ur talking too fast! what second chord is at 2:18? :(
Ab - A flat major
The composer nicked this melody from Beethoven Sonata No. 8 Op. 13 Pathetique
Yep, SchlomosFault! Same key of c min. too with just a few rhythmic twists and octave changes! First time I heard it a little bell in my head binged.
Thanks, it sounded so familiar
excellant tutorial
can you please do a tutorial on the apple show Severance that would be rad

Do you happen to have MIDI of this so I can import into Synthesia? (willing to buy!)
I am not saying this is the best tune, that's unsaid!

Would you make a video for the minuet or the dark minuet from succession too? Thanks or transcribe the sheet music?
looks siilar to something i have been playing long tim ago
Where can I find the piano sheet for this arrangement?
Thanks for lesson! I really enjoy this song. My biggest challenge is to get the rhythm correct with the bass and treble together, but a normal struggle for me.
Could you do the piano bit in Queens Of The Stone Age - Mosquito Song please?
Can someone who knows piano tell the chords/octaves/keys he's playing with his left hand from 6:20 to 6:35
does anyone have a link to exactly that sheet music?
I adore this! But you’re going so fast! Can you do a 50% slower lesson for the less talented people like me trying to play piano?!?😂😂😂😂😂
Play the video at 50% speed with the RUclips player controls
@@melindalim482 wow! How do I do this?
Amazing. how long have you been playing piano and how old are you?
LOVE YOUR VIDS
What scale do you improvise over? I’d think C minor, but it has a lot of off keys like Gb, Db, and B.
Which scale is this song in
What classical piece is Succession theme based on? I recognise it.
davxbeau , none ...you just recognize the music because it’s already cult and have been used almost everywhere...🙂
Pathetique
Awesome thanks but please acknowledge the composer! Also while playing Beethoven’s Pathétique I recognized the roots of the theme around bar 267 of the 1st movement.
great job breaking this down into smaller parts to work on. I'll have to give this a shot.
"Awesome stuff" you're great
Something mission on the score that is played in the actual theme tune.
The first right hand chord sounds more discordant and disjointed when played in the actual theme. Perhaps the three notes are not even struck simultaneously bur rather slightly staggered.
And here i though my 61 key MIDI keyboard would be enough for most of the stuff i like :D
Do you have the sheet music?
Thanks dude. Awesome lesson. I will work at it. If I can sound half ass I will shoot you some cash.
Beautifully Done!! Beautiful Song!!!
woah, me 2 i thougt this musicwas damn awesome

No se ven las teclas del extremo derecho, please.
This melody is ripped from Beethoven’s Pathetique Sonata. Check measure 276-284 of 1st movement! 😳

i am stuck on the rhythm, its very crucial for the right hand. wondering if someone could help me.

Theblackninja777 I heard he was going to do the Moonlight Sonata right after he finishes Gaspard de la Nuit.
