    I had a small leak coming from the solenoid, also sounded like it was coming from the back of the bolt. Cleaning the noid fixed the issue, looked like there was too much grease buildup on the spool it all got pooled up behind one of the #6 custom oring ridges so maybe the spool couldn't seal fully. scraped it all out and re-greased. Or the leak maybe came from that bottom seal where the filter sits as mine fell out really easily. hope this helps someone. Change your battery too.

      I use a q-tip to clean it out the solenoid body. I found the same thing, that the grease was thick and built up. I now clean my solenoid every 10k shots, its easy.

    My 170r solenoid spool is getting stuck. Causing a leak behind the trigger. If I take it apart and put it back together it will seal the first time I air it up then leak after degassing and re gassing.

      I'm currently going through this same issue, I got the marker as a trade, I engaged my air and heard the leak, myself and another replaced the orings and it was fine while at the field( I think I couldn't hear anything) I've purposely kept two tanks attached with Asa engaged to see if it's leaking and both tanks are now empty. Did you find out what the issue was?

      @@rjeezy2831 it’s the 006 and other tiny orings on the spool

      I guess the person I bought it from had the issue before so he replaced both #6 and the #6 NBR70 as well but separate times and still had an issue🤦‍♂️ I'm going through the whole marker and replacing every oring eith a buddy of mine at the field in Saturday, im.hiping that fixed the issue of the spool staying in that forward position( both times it's been taken apart it's been sticking out instead of flush inside the solenoid body so I'm guessing that gap is where the leak is coming from. If that doesn't fix it, I'm thinking it's the noid, just found out about a half hour ago there's a PE headquarters here in Rhode Island about 45 minutes away🙏

    When would this maintenance be necessary

    • @KarlEller
      @KarlEller 4 года назад +9

      4:46 You really only need to do this if something is wrong with the solenoid, they're designed to go 500,000+ shots without maintenance.

    Can these solenoids leak air? Within itself rather than the gaskets

  • @tightropehikes
    @tightropehikes 3 года назад +1

    My solenoid was leaking due to my output pressure of my tank being too high.
    I lowered the output pressure by removing shims.
    Should I do anything to the solenoid or just leave it if it’s not leaking anymore?

    What model number pilot does the 170R use?
