I am not connected with this band in any way but I want to turn your attention to: Wintergarden - Blame it to these endless nights The cello solo there made me learn the cello in my fourties ...
Lucifer’s Friend and Gift are 2 German bands I discovered that are really good. I believe they were referred to as Krautrock as was ‘70s era Scorpions which is my favorite era for them.
Man, Lucifer's Friend has some pretty heavy albums and Gift isn't far behind either! And I agree, '70s Scorpions had something special, kinda Krautrock-ish.

“Underwater Sunlight” is truly an amazing album, and I also love their later works. I’d say “Phaedra” is one of my favorites for its unique atmosphere. Thanks for your comment!
Absolutely! Kraan has a very dedicated fan base and is admired for its originality. Unfortunately, the list is limited and many important bands ended up being left out. Thanks for mentioning them!
Frumpy is awesome! They have such a distinctive style, and Inga Rumpf's voice is unforgettable! Be sure to check out "Frumpy 2". It's a classic album that will definitely surprise you.
Pfiffe garantiert.
I understand what you mean, but the list focused more on the bands than on the producers. Although Conny Plank is super important with formidable works with Cluster and Moebius & Plank, we preferred to list the main bands, even with the difficulty of the limited space of 20 that we proposed. I appreciate your comment!
Good evening my friend so good to see Frumpy and Faust on the list. I missed the Rattles a real good Krautrock band. for progressive german rockband Poverty's No Crime is missing. I made a list of the Best Vocalists Early Years of Progrock a few weeks ago. I hope you liked that one.

As someone who started listening to Prog in the 80s, I knew only half of the bands!😉
That's super common! The prog scene is huge, and there are always new bands to discover. Which bands from the list did you already know?
That style is Wonderfull, I heard faust, can, ash ra tempel, and followed tangerine dream very much, the álbumes éxit and hiperborea are my favoritos im 65 years
That’s awesome! You’ve got great taste in krautrock. "Exit" and "Hyperborea" by Tangerine Dream are really special. Thanks for commenting!
Nice list, but you forgot KRAAN and PELL MELL
Good call! Kraan and Pell Mell are amazing bands, but they just didn’t fit in this list. Maybe in the next one, right? Thanks for commenting!
Well basically for me its CAN. The Rest is far behind, but I do not consider Kraftwerk or NEU! "Krautrock".
I agree! CAN is truly unique. Kraftwerk and NEU! have different styles, but they share the krautrock innovation. Thanks for commenting!
I am not connected with this band in any way but I want to turn your attention to:
Wintergarden - Blame it to these endless nights
The cello solo there made me learn the cello in my fourties ...
That's cool! It’s amazing how music can inspire us to learn a new instrument.
I enjoy Ramses, Zomby Woof, Pancake, Serene, cheers from Canada.
Great choices! Ramses and Zomby Woof have a very distinct sound. I haven't heard of Serene yet. Thanks for the tip. Hugs to Canada!
What about Klaus Schulze, Xmal Deutschland, Lokomotive Kreuzberg,..????
Klaus Schulze is legendary, but I left out solo works. Lokomotive Kreuzberg and Xmal Deutschland are great too. Thanks for commenting!
Xmal Deutschland??? Nothing to do with Krautrock
@@hollandaisvolant9943 why???
@@gerardreiters488 Because it just doesn't belong to this musical style or spirit...it's post punk or batcave/goth rock as others would call it but certainly not krautrock
Hmmm, no Cosmic Jokers, Embryo or Achim Reichel & Machines.
That's true, Cosmic Jokers, Embryo, and Achim Reichel & Machines are strong names and could have made it! Where would you place them, in your opinion?
I know Manuel Gottsching was in AshRa Tempel but his solo albums as Ashra especially Blackouts and New Age of Earth are excellent . Tangerine Dream top the list for me though .
Gottsching is really great! "Blackouts" is amazing, but Tangerine Dream is also on another level. What's your favorite album from them?
@@BackingTrackCenter Hi , I enjoyed the video , my favourite T.Dream album is Underwater Sunlight closely followed by Force Majeur and Hyperborea . My youth was spent immersed in Phaedra and Rubycon but I like best the late 70`s and 80`s albums .Edgar was a brilliant guitarist and I loved his playing , very underrated .Your favourite ?
“Underwater Sunlight” is truly an amazing album, and I also love their later works. I’d say “Phaedra” is one of my favorites for its unique atmosphere. Thanks for your comment!
Kraan missing....if you really know the German Rock Scene in the 1970s....like all the others mentioned before...
Absolutely! Kraan has a very dedicated fan base and is admired for its originality. Unfortunately, the list is limited and many important bands ended up being left out. Thanks for mentioning them!
Eloy Number 1 👍👍👍
Eloy at the top truly matches their sound and influence, right? Do you have a favorite album of theirs?
@BackingTrackCenter Ocean is my favourite album.

Frumpy is awesome! They have such a distinctive style, and Inga Rumpf's voice is unforgettable! Be sure to check out "Frumpy 2". It's a classic album that will definitely surprise you.
@@BackingTrackCenter Ah, Inga Rumpf. The voice sounded so familiar to me. I always thought she sang with the band “Atlantis”.

Nektar is amazing indeed! 'Remember the Future' is a classic. Where would you place them on the list?
@@BackingTrackCenter ..
would certainly be in the top three.A Tab in the Ocean is my personal favourite of theirs
Pfiffe garantiert.
Was für tolle Erinnerungen! Danke für deinen Kommentar.
I feel a bit bad because the one mußt important Soundmaker was Conny Plank and not even one time he´s name only some of his groups
I understand what you mean, but the list focused more on the bands than on the producers. Although Conny Plank is super important with formidable works with Cluster and Moebius & Plank, we preferred to list the main bands, even with the difficulty of the limited space of 20 that we proposed. I appreciate your comment!
Pell Mell,Reaction, Sitting Bull, Fashion Pink,Erna Scmidth, 2066, Aera, Missus Beastly, Thristy Moon, Guru Guru,Nosferatu, Murphy Blend, Satin Whale, Emtidi, Parziwal, McChurch Soundroom, Elfenbein, Emergency, Electric Sandwich. etc. CHEERS.
