Bro, you played mad good, specially for someone who didn't play any other modern ones, better than most youtubers and reviewers I saw playing this game as a matter of fact. Don't be so hard on yourself, you're awesome.
@@AsuraxAmi skill issue???? Look at how empty the world was how bad the german voice acting ( that guy had voice cracks all The time). The pop in of the grind rails the generic art direction or the mid story. Frontiers was mid FOR ME But i guess skill issue
@@Sneaky_racoon_sly Are you German? If not, wtf does the German dub matter. That seems like an out-of-nowhere(irrelevant) complaint. As someone who completed the 100% Main Frontiers, I can see why it isn’t for everyone. Unleashed is my Favorite.
If you fell off the series after SA2 till now, you should ABSOLUTELY watch (and upload your reaction to) the "Dark Beginnings" prequel animations that were made for Sonic X Shadow Generations. They touch on a ton of the narrative, themes, and lore from Sonic Adventure 2 and build on it in a way which then directly leads into this game, and they've got some of the most incredible animation and directing I've ever seen in any kind of animated movie or show. It's seriously incredible and I say that as somebody who also loved SA2 but has been pretty meh on everything that's come out since.
The thing about Boost Sonic is that to get a good time you're supposed to memorize the layout to the point that you can hold boost and just react to things for the entire stage
If you do wanna replay the Adventure games, apparently the Steam ports aren't that great, but were improved with mods which matched the original version. Idk exactly what it is, but maybe look into that beforehand
Sonic Heroes was a great game in my opinion (yes I'm bias since that was my first) especially since its a sequel taking place after Sonic Adventures 2. If you want to experience pure *edge* then play Shadow: The hedgehog but warning the game is pretty dookie (granted you can use a gun and I think even ride vehicles like a tank). Sonic Unleashed though was phenomenal and was the first "We're so back" Modern Sonic game
Never trust the ranking system in this game. It will give you a grade that you don’t deserve at all, over the years the creators went very very very easy on the ranking system unlike games from the 2000s.
My favorite sonic games are sonic rush from the Nintendo DS, sonic riders zero gravity, sonic generations, sonic adventures 1 and 2 and sonic unleashed
please play shadow 2005 if you're craving more shadow action and want to learn more about Black Doom, the other games everyone else are recommending are good too! Especially Heroes and Unleashed.
Sonic Unleashed is easily the best in my opinion, and if you want the best experience to play most of the characters I'd recommend checking out Sonic P-06 which basically fixes the game from 2006 by remaking it in Unity.
Sonic has purchasable skills that can change your moveset but no he doesnt really have the cool Dragonball shit And the Keanu Reeves Day 1 Paid DLC is real
"I'm going too fast, I can't control myself" That's always my gripe with Sonic games, they make you wanna go fast, and then punish you for it. It's weird, and never seems to be a great balance for me.
No, they don't punish you for going fast, they punish you for not expecting equidistantly placed spikes to appear when you're going fast or for trying to hold one button to win. Have you ever played Sonic Forces? You know one of many reasons people hate that game is because you just hold one button to win with no obstacles?
The games were never specifically about going fast. It was about flow and momentum. It punishes you for playing bad when you go through the lower paths and rewards you when you find short cuts. The games are about replayability
You need to learn the levels before you can go properly fast, the same way you need to learn the tracks in a kart racer. Don't hold the boost button the entire way, and take your time at first. Don't go into the game with a speedrunner's mentality, and you'll have a lot more fun.

Play Sonic Unleashed and Frontiers they are great
Frontiers is mid but everyone loves it because it was not a disaster
@@Sneaky_racoon_sly it’s not even mid there’s like two different modes how you want to play a sonic so it sounds like a skill issue

@@Sneaky_racoon_slyAs for everything else… yeah you got a point. I forgot about the pop-in.

2:40 bro you missed Shadows entire amnesia ark
The thing about Boost Sonic is that to get a good time you're supposed to memorize the layout to the point that you can hold boost and just react to things for the entire stage
Shadow The Hedgehog, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic And The Black Knight, Sonic Generations and Sonic Frontiers are must plays
Black Knight is hard to get too though
I wish you can play SA2 on modern consoles cause I played a tiny bit of it back when PlayStation Now was a thing
@@docplays6508i’d buy them in a heartbeat.
How you gonna mention black knight without secret rings
@@docplays6508 it's on steam. can't get much better than that, honestly, since there are a TON of visual mods on PC to modernize the game.
Sonic unleashed is the absolute best! And I played just about every sonic game!
8:00 lmfaooo am I on acid 😂

This is the year of shadow baby
Best sonic game in my opinion: Sonic unleashed
10:12 *coughs in Sonic Heroes and Sonic 06*
You did not just say 06.
So, when's that new Sonic x Shadow Generations skit gonna drop Keef? I'm loving Shadow's Campaign so far.
Top 5 sonic games for me, sonic adventure 2 ( dreamcast ), sonic adventure 1 (dreamcast ), sonic cd, sonic unleashed, and sonic 3
Bro came back to Sonic at the right time
When the movie shadow skin comes out keanu will voice him
You gawd darn right!!!

You gotta play sonic frontiers too

Keanu will voice Shadow in the upcoming level DLC, cause it's based on scenes from the upcoming Sonic 3 movie
Ayy this sonic x shadow generations game is dope ❤
My favorite sonic games are sonic rush from the Nintendo DS, sonic riders zero gravity, sonic generations, sonic adventures 1 and 2 and sonic unleashed

bro my goat playing sonic???
Peak gaming
Don’t feel like you need to get good straight away just play around with the controls. Remember practice makes perfect 👌
Not playing Shadow the Hedgehog is a criminal offense. I AM!
I am at Aldi!
I AM ALL OF ME
You skipped the first story cutscene of the game? (The one where Rouge was calling Shadow while at the party)
Meh, its okay
no i just didnt upload it. wanted people to see the gameplay mostly.
@mightykeefexp its ok i'm not bothered
Your gameplay was cool
@@mightykeefexp Hard to believe. Us Sonic fans care just as much for the story, especially the one from this game. Skipping it feels wrong.

Sonic Heroes is definitely a good play through. Great roster. Fantastic tunes!
BRO DID YOU SKIP THE 1ST CUTSCENE OR WAS THAT A CLEAN TRANSITION?????
You have to hold A to skip cutscenes so it was a really clean transition.
