How heartwarming. I have been there 50 years ago when I was challenged to play Sonatina No. 20 for Schubert, at the age of 25. I played for the church congregation and played from my heart earning applause I needed so much to reclaim my confidence. I did and my world changed leading me to play for small audiences. I cried from this video clip
i wept also, wish we could have listened to Ming play.
@DaleRay-op7hh Bless your ❤ heart
It’s truly beautiful how music has the power to heal, uplift, and transform our lives. Playing from the heart, just as you did, creates connections that go beyond the notes.

What a heart warming story which has changed the arrogant Millionaire into a enthusiastic supporter. 🎹🎶🎶
This story truly touched my heart. Ming’s journey reminds us that life’s detours can often lead to unexpected beauty. Her resilience, sacrifice, and love for her family turned what seemed like an ending into a powerful new beginning. The way she rediscovered her passion for music and used it to inspire others is a lesson in hope, strength, and the importance of never giving up on what makes our hearts sing.
This is the best story I have ever seen on here. As an 'occasional' musician, it strongly resonates with me. Whoever put this together, thankyou!
Absolutely! This story hits deep, especially for those who know the power of music. Glad it resonated with you! 🎶✨
I have lost my ability to play because of an injury. I miss playing and singing very much! What a beautiful story of hope and courage! Thank you!
❤l
I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. Your story really resonates with me-music has such a special way of touching our hearts. I hope you find a way to reconnect with it again, even if just in small moments. Wishing you strength and healing!
I’m so sorry to hear that. Your love for music is still a part of you, even if you can’t play like before. Sending you strength and hope-music has many ways of finding its way back to us. ❤🎶
This is an extraordinary story. Music is like magic. We don't need to be professional musicians or pianists to feel the power and beauty of music.
Music takes us to another world, it makes us smile, cry and dream.
My love for music is my gift from God. ❤❤
This video is a true Cinderella moment! The millionaire's attempt to embarrass the waitress backfired spectacularly when her hidden talent shone through. It's a beautiful reminder that you never know the depth of someone's abilities until they're given the chance to show it. Her performance not only silenced the room but also turned a moment of intended humiliation into one of awe and respect. Truly stunning!
As a waitress myself, I understand the constant struggle to balance responsibility and passion. Ming's story resonates deeply with me, reminding me to never give up on my hidden dreams.
Wow, this story hit deep! 💖 Sometimes life takes us away from our dreams, only to bring us back in the most beautiful way.
Any person who didn't touch the piano for months, he will forget everything....
Not to mention 10years...😂😂😂😂
He tried to embarrass her, but instead, she left the whole room speechless. Incredible!
😭😭😭😭😭😭 This story is sooo sweet that it made me cry. Never give up on your dreams no matter what life throws at you.
I have seen these kinds of stories throughout my years of teaching music and voice. Some youth who had so much talent and passion to succeed. Some felt like they were forced to walk away from it, or they were very often discouraged by friends and family. I had some tell me later on that the feeling of regret runs very deep, wishing they had followed their heart and their dream.
In a way it also shows that you may have been going another way but life can really surprise you.
This story is a beautiful reminder to keep going, no matter the obstacles. Dreams have a way of finding their path, even when it seems impossible. Thank you for sharing your feelings!
Right there with you! 😭💖 This story is a powerful reminder that dreams never truly fade-they just wait for the right moment to shine again.
This was an Incredibly Beautiful story!! Thank you for sharing it!!
Such a beautiful story. She had accomplished her true love for music playing the piano. She had proved her passion for music. And she did it .Her music comes truly from her heart.
I was easily willing to pass over the pronunciations of Chopin, finale, and others. This was a well-written story that draws in young and old, especially those who thirst for encouragement, whether in music or just plain Life. Well-drawn, including the device of the frozen photo that remains in place while the story is told, weaving emotional responses in the listener/reader.
Well created. Well done.
Thank you for excellence in the arts.
Absolutely, the way the story was written really pulls you in. It’s not just about music, but about overcoming challenges in life. That emotional depth really speaks to all ages. Thank you for your thoughtful reflection!
Exactly! The depth of the story far outweighs any minor mispronunciations. It beautifully captures resilience, passion, and the power of music to inspire across all ages. Truly a masterpiece! 🎶✨
I can't help but be moved by how music helped Ming reconnect with herself. It’s a testament to how art, especially music, has the power to heal and transform.
Thank you for a great story being narated beautifully.
My eyes drenched with joy of hearing the story of an underdog (like myself) where Ming's dreams became true. Very touching inspiring seemingly magical opportunities still happen today. I was the boy that dreaded practicing piano at the Horak Konservatorium, Wien, Austria. I rearranged many musicals, from EU classical, American contemporary, to Classical Asian pieces amalgamation with the musical theories, I've learned in Vienna. 😅
I played and entertained my father's guests at his parties. Nothing concert earth shattering shows like Ming. 😅
Thanks again for an enchanting story. 😊
What a wonderful story to hear on Christmas morning--I wake up early to take medicine--I am dying. This story is so much about someone changing and that change made all the difference in Ming's life-----I know this man was not Jesus, but God did change his heart to help this young woman!!!! Can't we all from this day forward......have more compassion for others? Just maybe others will come to know the King of Kings---Jesus Christ!!!!! I am a Christ Follower and I try to look at all things through the truth of the Bible.....in this case, God let her have her dream!!! I pray she came to know Jesus herself!!! She gave us so much beauty!!!
This is truly inspirational. I have a sort of similar story. I know lovely things will soon happen. A great big thankyou. Roy
Since you have put your faith in Jesus, that makes us sisters in Christ so I will meet you one day in heaven. ✝️❤
Your comment really touched my heart. May our LORD be with you and guide you into His presence. May you experience His love and grace in depth and in truth. May you receive from Him your rich reward for living a godly life and testifying bravely.
May God bless and keep you!
Pray that Ming believes in Jesus and also 🙏 for all these millionaire people to come to know and trust in The Lord Jesus Christ. Hope and Pray that these stories come from true events. God bless you all.😊
God bless you and give you strength. ❤
I was captivated totally unexpectedly by this story. Not one sentence felt out of place and I was born along on its current to the hopefulbgentle shores of the conclusion, showing loss and hardship can lead to a dream transforming into a richer life enhancing outcome. Full marks 👍🌟
This story takes you on an emotional journey, showing that even through loss, life can reshape our dreams into something even more meaningful. Full marks indeed! 👍
I haven't played in awhile, ( so many medical problems) but now have my baby Grand & also a two keyboard Technique organ in my great room ...enjoy playing still at 72.😊😊😊
The musician's name was Chopin pronounced as "Showpan". He was superb, and the young lady, in this story, did a great job with His music. Wonderful reaction to her, when it ended.
Proof that even AI has its limits. Another example was the pronunciation of the “bass notes of the piano”. As if it was a 🎣
Yes, Chopin's music truly shines in the hands of a skilled performer, and Ming's interpretation was breathtaking! The reaction at the end was so powerful-it was a moment of pure recognition and respect for her talent
@@raciststory99 I remember, while in High School, that our English teacher challenged all of us, in her class, that we could choose to either take the final exam, or write a 2000 word essay on a prominent figure in history. I chose to write about Chopin, which meant spending a lot of time in the city library. It came out very well, and I enjoyed the whole project.
Chopin’s music is timeless, and the way she brought it to life was breathtaking. The audience’s reaction made it even more powerful-pure magic!
I can see this uplifting story turning into an uplifting movie. I would definitely see it!
What a beautiful story that absolutely restores hope any in the Christmas season. Thank you God for placing this blessing in my life
Your rendition of Chopin’s Nocturne was incredibly moving. The way you brought out the emotions in the piece captivated everyone in the room. Truly unforgettable!
I didn’t just read this story; I lived it through your words. It’s truly unforgettable
IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE......PLAY ON.!!!!!!!! A truly beautiful story..
Who else had to look up Chopin's Nocturne in C Sharp Minor to "hear" what Ming was playing?
Well narratrd story of a musician who had not played her Piano for 10 years. The Music once learnt, will remain in the brain like the Cycling once learnt is never forgotten.
Stories like these inspire us to look beyond hardships and find the beauty in our struggles.
This video made me reflect on my own life and relationships. The love and struggles portrayed were so real. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and emotional journey
Totally a wonderful story this story says to me keep playing the piano no matter how old I am thank you for helping me to decide to keep playing amen
Amen to that! Music has no age limit-it stays with you for life. Keep playing, keep expressing, and let your heart guide your hands. Wishing you joy in every note you play! 🎶❤✨
These computer narrators can't tell Chopin from "Choppin' ".
Or "petted" from "petite".
--- and the comical ressitills
@@vonPunki Many more...
😄😄😄😄 indeed, every time he pronounced Chopin , there's a knot in my heart, and one time Debussy too 😄😄
Haha, I see what you mean! Computer narrators definitely have their limitations when it comes to pronunciation. But I agree, Chopin’s music deserves the respect of proper pronunciation!
OMG! I'm blubbering like a baby. Thank you for this story.
This story brought tears to my eyes. It’s amazing how music has the power to inspire and change lives in unexpected ways.
What a beautiful unexpected story! ❤
There is no way you can play flawlessly if you haven’t played the piano in 10 years. I’ve been playing since I was seven and I can say with certainty and experience that if you haven’t played in 10 years there’s no way you can play without any mistakes!
Yup muscle memory on goes so far.
Yes, you are right. Nice story but like all these stories I take them with a pinch of salt.
You're right, it's incredibly challenging to return to an instrument after so long. But sometimes, the magic of muscle memory and emotional connection can surprise us. Ming’s performance really highlighted how the heart can guide us even after years of silence.
True, a flawless performance after 10 years is unlikely! But the story captures the power of passion and muscle memory-more about emotion than perfection. 🎶✨
How heartwarming I would have loved to hear what she played
I thought she was going to play the piano; all talk and no music! Glad I scanned the video in one minute. Saved a lot of time.
As a retired Engineer who has taken up Piano. I loved this story. The mispronunciations was somewhat distracting but the story was beautiful. Is this really a "True Life Story?" I don't believe someone can pick up playing after ten years. Even someone with extraordinary ability's.
That’s amazing that you’ve taken up piano! 🎶 While this may not be a true story, its message about passion and resilience is powerful. Muscle memory and deep emotional connection to music can bring back skill, but of course, it takes time and dedication.
@@raciststories99 Thanks for taking the time to respond. I agree with you. of course. When retired, you need to find activities to keep all of personal faculties functioning as long as possible. For me, Piano, is one of those activity's along with continued learning and certain social activities. Otherwise, your mind and body will stop working.😁
What an amazing gift to have to play the piano she must’ve been gifted I think it was a beautiful story and Brilliant talent❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😊🎉🎉❤❤ Thank you😊
My piano story: (I'll try to make it short)
Went on vacation to St. Lucia at a Sandals Resort with my wife and 2 other couples. After traveling all morning and then partying to 11:00 PM when the Beach bar closed, they all were exhausted and went to bed. But I was still ready to party, so I asked the bartender where I could get a Captain and Coke. He said there was a Piano bar on the other side of the resort that was open till 1 PM. So I grabbed my almost finished drink and sauntered off to explore the resort. By the time I got to the piano bar, my drink had 1 sip left, BUT the place was deserted, except for the piano player and a beautiful lady stretched out on a couch behind the piano. The place looked like a scene from some strange Twilight Zone movie . Empty tables where people had recently been, no bartender behind the bar (Remember I was looking for a Captain & Coke?), AND even stranger still.....the piano player was playing chopsticks. Being a somewhat drunk retired scientist, I said to my self, "I can figure this out!" I sat on a stool at the piano bar, finished my drink and stared at the piano player. After a while, he glanced at me, and I casually asked him if he knew Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer"? Without a reply, he jumped into one of the most lively versions of the song I ever heard.
Great I thought, we have an amazing piano player, now where did that bartender go? While still trying to figure out where everyone was I happened to notice the pretty lady on the couch was laughing hysterically. Now, I was really confused but determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. I went over to the woman and asked her what was so funny. Took her a few seconds to control her laughter, and she replied, "He's not the piano player, that's my husband, AND he took piano lessons for 3 years to play that one song and you just waltzed in and asked him to play it! You made his day!" Okay, I'm figuring out some stuff, so I then asked her where everyone was, and she told me everyone else went outside to "toast" the full moon.
Where upon I went behind the bar and made myself a Captain & Coke. Met some great people that night and got a great story.
That’s an absolutely fantastic story! 😂 From a Twilight Zone-style empty bar to unintentionally making someone’s night with a simple request-what an adventure! Sounds like a night of unexpected magic, music, and great company. Cheers to moments like these! 🥂🎶
What an awesome story. It took me away from all the hardships and violence that is all over the internet and life in general. Thankyou so much for taking me away into dreams of happiness. It may have been a short period of time. But a priceless period.
(14:52) “As the last notes of Chopin’s nocturne faded into the hushed silence of the room, Ming’s hands rested gently on the keys.”
Sometimes, the quiet that follows true artistry can echo more powerfully than any applause.
Music always brings tears to my eyes and this story was so touching, as if the music was actually playing.❤
That was a very sweet story and I am glad there were not any random unrelated video clips in the story.
This is a very inspiring story, it touches the heart
You are a great story teller, I know it is just a story, but you allowed me to feel emotion, of course I was ready for emotion, but you, Mr Narrator have talent!
THAT was SO beautiful, and True!
Though I detest the use of AI with the sad incorrect pronunciation of words, the story was touching and reflected real life situations. I found it very satisfying.Never give up on your dreams no matter what life throws at you.
Beautiful story, full of hope and beauty…. A tapestry of a life well lived!
This was such a lovely story.I love music.I do wish when I was young I learned to play.I wish ming all the best for her future.God Bless🎉
This was a SUPER impressive story one I will not forget soon. Hope everyone else enjoyed it!!
After reading more than a few comments on this "story", I am appalled at the cluelessness of all but a handful of people who did not see the "story" for what it truly was: A shoddy (mispronounced), formulaic, paint-by-the-numbers, treacly melodrama. If this is a representative example, then storytelling and literature as a whole are both safe from any threat from AI for the foreseeable future. And thank God for that!
I focused on the message only and really enjoyed this. I was fortunate long time ago to get a musical instrument that others with the same instrument had played at Carnegie Hall. At the start thought maybe that could be me one day but life's reality and demands changed that vision over time and now in retirement life comes again with many more demands, conditions and distractions. Found this inspiring and will try and get back to where I wanna belong regardless. Had the privilege of meeting in person one pioneer in this music genre who won the world championship at a young age and was impressed with his humbleness. Never forgot his words to me at that time (has passed now) learn how to play from the heart, and learn how to play in the now.
Learning how to play from the heart is true, BUT learning to play music that makes you, you is also true. I have created many pieces of my own, but my playing abilities did not copy that which was in my mind, and I lost confidence. Learning from others can help overcome a lack of confidence. All we have to do is take the chance.
It’s amazing how life may take us on unexpected paths, yet the love for music never truly fades. The words you shared-‘play from the heart, and play in the now’-are such a powerful reminder to embrace the present and reconnect with what truly brings us joy. I hope you find your way back to where you belong, and may the music always lead you forward.
What a powerful reflection! The words you were given years ago, "play from the heart" and "play in the now," truly resonate. Life may bring distractions, but it’s never too late to reconnect with what brings us joy. Your story is a beautiful reminder that it’s the journey, not just the destination, that matters. Wishing you the best on your musical journey, no matter where it takes you!
I was imagining Ming playing Chopin Nocturne in C # minor--Opus Posthumous, a heart warming ❤️piece by Chopin, my favorite piece of music ❤️
Wow. Good for you. I think I can play chopsticks
❤ Chopin’s Nocturne in C# minor carries so much depth and emotion-it would have made Ming’s performance even more breathtaking. Truly a piece that touches the soul!
I am truly glad my instincts led me to scroll forward to realize there was not a single moving picture in this video. I would never see this young protagonist play the piano. And was this video short? No. It was pretty long. So, what did I do? Changed the channel.
What a beautiful story.
Magnificent story! Thank you so much!
There should be Chopin music,in background
A beautiful story but can we hear the music?
I think a study in creative writing would make a huge difference to what could have been a good story
Spot on, seemed very unbconvincing to me.
"The devil is in the details".... and art is in the depths of the human soul! As someone commented earlier, "Welcome to AI!"
That’s a fair take! The story had great potential, and with stronger writing, it could have been even more impactful. A little refinement would go a long way! ✨
The person reading this story needs to learn how to correctly pronounce the script. Obviously no one edited this.
@@JimHayes-j5t AI no doubt!
Yep - many words mispronounced.
Yes indeed he mispronounced the names of 2 composers i.e. Chopin and Debussy. It sounded so ridiculous. 😄😄
It’s not a person reading the script, it’s a computer program, probably using AI, which is notoriously error prone when translating foreign or foreign-based vocabulary to English.
AI read it. That seems to be the only plausible explanation.
Very Nice Story. Wishing Everyone Merry Christmas from the Philippines 2024!
A beautiful story .I have tears in my eyes ❤😊😢
Good story with a few mispronounced words and phrases. I've played piano & organ since I was 5 1/2 years old. I'm 73 now. A rusty player but still have fun once in a while 🙂
Me too! But l am 65
AI must have put this together. Great story with fractured pronunciation. I kept screaming the words to my phone! 😅
The 'vocal' side of this needs a LOT of adjustment
A heart warming story marred only by the comical diction.
hearing the AI speaker on this almost led me to just terminate this video and go to another. Almost. What a lovely story. I can only hope it was true. I have wanted to play the piano for as long as I can remember. My grandmother had a grand in her front Parlor and practiced on it for several hours a day. When I was little, I would hear her warming up and would run up the front steps of that old San Francisco Victorian, through the tall front doors (often leaving them open) and run into the front Parlor to dive under the piano for, what I thought, was the best seat in the house! Grandmother died when I was five or six. I never understood until I was ten that she had actually died. All the same, her practice sessions of beautiful music that had lulled me to sleep so many times instilled a love of music in me. Also a desire to play the Piano. My parents wouldn't hear of it and Pianos are a very expensive instrument. I finally did learn to play as an adult. However, many things get in the way and I had to give it up. I have regretted it ever since. Even now, sixty-three years after she last played ebb tide for me, I can still her her version of it in my memory.
What a beautiful memory! Your grandmother’s music clearly left a lasting mark on your heart. It’s never too late to return to the piano, even in small ways. Music stays with us, just like those cherished moments. 🎶❤
This is a sweet story ruined by a robot who does not know how to spell or pronounce words necessary to this story. I am happy for Ming and also happy that Thompson found humility.
The crazy thing is that the story itself was created by AI. Someone simply asked a large language model to write an inspirational story about a young talented waitress getting discovered and this is what it generated. If you scroll through your suggested videos sidebar you'll find several other variations of this same story from this channel and others.
What a beautiful story. It has inspired me to start playing piano again. Thanks for sharing.
I watched this whole thing all the way to the end, waiting for her to play the piano, but her hands never moved.
Neither did any other part of her: It was a photograph!
The storytelling built up so much anticipation that it would’ve been amazing to actually see her play. Still, the story itself was powerful and emotional
What a fabulous story. However, I can't overlook the several words that were mis-pronounced. One person in the comments pointed out the mis-pronunciation of Chopin. But there were others as easy as Bass, recital, duet, finale. and a tougher one Debussy. If a musician had listened to the narrator, he would have caught these.
Again, let me say this is a great story worth sharing.
Fair point! The mispronunciations were distracting, but the heart of the story still shined through. Hopefully, future narrations get those details right to match the beauty of the tale! 🎶✨
A great story. Is it based on a true life experience? The story teller has a nice voice even though he can't pronounce words correctly.
It is probably an artificial intelligence voice. Plus, the picture shows a young woman with European features instead of Oriental, as signaled by the name Yag with black name. I listened to the story and within a minute realized that this was AGAIN a fake story with a click- bait picture. Bye!
It feels like a story that could be real, but either way, the message is inspiring. And yes, the narrator’s voice is pleasant-just needs a little work on pronunciation! 🎶
I have read the comment of the persons who commented about the absurd, badly narrated story. Though I detest the use of AI with the sad incorrect pronunciation of words, the story was touching and reflected real life situations. I found it very satisfying.
i also tho detest the AI - Chopin pronounced "Chopp' in" ??? sheesh.
I get it. The idea of the story is good, at least.
The story itself was generated by AI. Someone just asked an LLM to write a "young-talented-waitress-getting-discovered" inspirational story, then asked an AI image generator to illustrate it, then posted it and got quite a few views and subscribers, which they're getting paid for. If you look in your suggested videos sidebar, you'll probably see about 10 variations of this story, some posted by this channel, some by others.
Thanks fo your reply.
The narration had its flaws, but the story itself carried a powerful and relatable message. Despite the imperfections, it still left a lasting impact! 🎶
This was so beautiful!💗
It is amazing that we humans often fail to applaud the
good of a story: overcoming difficulties/trials, but find resounding fault with mispronunciations. Yes, improvements should be made there, but what about the moral of the narrative; is it not more important? Hmmm?🌺💕🥰
Where’s the music?
It’s almost criminal that such a wonderful and emotional story has to be told by AI. Between the mispronunciations in the audio and the incorrect words in the script, the story becomes somewhat jarring. Such a shame!
Pity that the vaunted AI can't learn how to pronounce"Chopin" and "duet."
It wasn't only told by AI. It was written by AI as well.
True
I get what you mean-the mispronunciations were distracting. But despite that, the heart of the story still shines through. It’s a powerful reminder of resilience and passion! 🎶✨
This story is about each and every one of us; about taking advantage of opportunities when they come round, and following our dreams... always following our dreams and being the gift that we are.
Lmao. I read the comments before posting and the story was great and brought tears to my eyes but I agree on the narrator it’s either AI or someone who doesn’t know any music
“CHATTO MARGO??” wine?😂😂 or was it “Chateau Margot?”
The story was, oh so bad, on so many levels! What can you expect from a story that calls the composer CHOPPING, as in "chopping broccoli" (See Dana Carvey- Saturday Nite Live)
Beautiful Story. I have 4 keyboards. I want to take lessons now. Someone, at the gym, teaches piano, guitar. Jerry from Anaheim, California USA. ❤
Awesome work... Thank you
So the AI that made the picture didn't actually know what a piano looks like?
It got the general look right, but it had trouble with some of the specifics, like black key groupings and how to spell "Steinway & Sons," or even what English letters look like. Also, reflections are hard for AI. Check out the reflection of her right hand, which is hovering over the black keys.
Thank you for this beautiful story❤🎉❤🎉❤
When does the music start? Despite the picture it's all commentary.
Beautiful story. Hit me in the heart. [ For a touch of humor, notice at 23.00 the added subtitles. . .They go awry, in a very comical way. 🙃😉].
This was a beautiful story. Proofread the narration, please.
👍
I could be mistaken, but the man standing to the right of the girl at the piano looks amazingly like the late Louis Rukeyser. Can anyone confirm or dismiss this idea?
The story itself is interesting, even if embellished. Music is indeed magic. Nearly all of us non-musicians are enthralled by it. Those who understand its timing and structure are our best humans.
Yes he does, I had to Google him because I didn’t know who he was 👍🏻
That’s an interesting observation! Not sure if it’s him, but now I’m curious too. And you’re absolutely right-music is pure magic, and those who master it truly bring something special to the world! 🎶✨
Beautiful , ❤
What a lovely story, touched me very personally, my dreams set aside to be 'responsible'.
loved it. I know how she felt.
I love the message thank you
What is wrong with the reading persons pronounciation? He even called the piano “penis” get him some lessons!
Heartwarming story. 😊😊😊
The mispronunciations of AI are so distracting that it is hard to listen to, much less appreciate, the story.
Totally agree 👍👍
Enjoyed the story, but a pity about the disgusting adverts.
A bit of work needed on the pronunciation and text. Great story for Christmas needs abridging a bit.
