Not for me. For me writing a story is just as engaging as reading one. Because while I'm writing, the whole thing plays out in my head. So if I ever find the actual process tedious, I know it just means that my book isn't engaging and I need to step up my act.
For me, it's just coming up with ideas and getting chapters/the entire story going that gets me. Once I've found an opening line and paragraph I'm like "yep check check check his so good ahahaa wow" Buuuuut it takes me like forever to come up with starting paragraphs and endings sooooo

I have every scene set out in my head, I know all the characters back stories, traits and how they're individually unique, however getting my imagination onto paper is super difficult. I feel as though every sentence I write or words I use feel so wrong and I never portray the story the way I want it. I've tried writing what comes to mind just so I can finish at least one story but it feels so wrong, espeically when you know you have to edit it afterwards and probably end up rewriting the whole thing. Also, I really struggle writing in present tense because whenever I attempt present tense, I end up doing past tense and then vice versa, I can't win but I'm determined to get there eventually, possibly with a bit of alcohol involved...
