Mike your wife is telling y’all’s age she said I’ve known you for 18 years; just joking. My husband and I will be celebrating our 20 year anniversary in May, how about that. I love the way she mixed those carrots that will be so colorful and delicious to eat. God bless y’all.

Hey you all, enjoy your little trip. I loved the seeder looks like that's the way to go. I love the mountains too Lacie, my property is pretty flat around the house about 2 acres then the rest slopped & flat mixed. Glad to be up and away and have a nice breeze. Great soil would be an added blessing, but God is faithful to let my gardens and fruit trees grow and produce abundantly. Enjoy and God bless your entire family.

This is a tip I learned from another homesteader.....It will help when handling the buckets with wire handles. Take an old garden hose & cut it to fit the handles. Cut a line straight down the length of the cut hose & place over your bucket handles. This will protect your hands when lifting a full bucket of compost or whatever.

It’s so nice to see a couple that works together....nice you are having a get away......
There’s a furniture store in the town across from the Biltmore that has beautiful hand painted items.....I can’t remember the name but I know you would enjoy it.....
When I was a cook one of the things that we bought were small veggies, like fingerling potatoes, multi colored peppers and carrots. They are so tender and the growing time is shorter......those baby carrots were so sweet.....we also bought small romaine lettuce heads and split them down the middle, seasoned with a good olive oil salt n pepper and grilled it......so good.
No organic farm stands in our area but we did have one farm that grew items and you pre paid for your CSA orders.....pick up was available twice a week at their farm.....also they charged if they had to deliver to your house which later changed to a meeting spot where you could get your boxed veggies.

It's snowing in Morgan cty, Ohio right now. It was nice & warm yesterday & tomorrow will be decent. I bought 5 new Zealand white rabbits today. Almost bought 5 pekin ducks. I just didn't want to have both in the house at the same time. Bunnies are really chillin. I wanted to make sure I had both sexes. I will get a different buck later. Rural King didn't have turkeys today. Seen a pet red bourbon turkey strolling through the store. She has a bar stool at a local bar as well. She's 13yo. I've wanted to see Biltmore estate for yrs. I've driven past the exit for yrs w semi 🚛.

Looks like you're going to have a lot of fun. My Daddy used to always say, if he could have any property in the world he would choose the Vanderbilt Estate. I agree Daddy! I Love Biltmore! The house is off the chain beautiful, but I have to say that I love the land and creeks more than anything. I can just imagine what it was like to ride through the estate in a horse drawn carriage and round the bend seeing the house for the first time. I know that was magical. That's what I think of everytime we go visit, usually in the spring. It Truly Ignites My Soul!🌻🌼🌷⚘🥀🌱☘The Spring Flowers Just Steal Your Heart Away All Over The Estate! Can't wait to go soon myself! Enjoy!😊🌻😎❤

No till keeps all the network of microbes, fungal hyphae intact so that organic aggregate can hold the moisture too. The soil doesn't get so dried out and hard packed either. We've been taught to till and so much better no till. 👍😁🌱
