How to Affirm LGBTQ+ Youth

LGBTQ+ youth are a vulnerable and high risk demographic, particularly in rural communities. Among young people, LGBTQ+ youth consider suicide three times more than their heterosexual peers.
In this webinar, presenters Dwayne White, MS, LPC, NCC, CCMHC, and Shanel Robinson, PhD, MS, LPC, NCC, CCMHC, will lead an engaging discussion about affirming LGBTQ+ youth. This training will provide practical tools for your consideration as you learn to support this important population. In the presentation we will cover:
• How to understand the interlocking systems in which these youth interact
• Way to affirm LGBTQ+ while understanding the different systemic issues
• Actionable and tangible types of strategies that you all can utilize.
