i was homeless for a total of 5 years...outside...in the North...all season. Even though i worked full time for most of that period, it was impossible to afford an apartment. Being homeless in the North is rough, but i would guess that being homeless in Arkansas is more difficult in many ways. For one thing...picking cans is not really an option in Arkansas like it is in many other states. Tweakers also are rather rare up North. My camps were always kept relatively clean...as they were either strictly solo, or were free of junkies. I now live in a trailer in the woods...Boston Mountains...and i am doing ok.

I was living homeless there in fayetteville for a long time. I believe in the housing projects proposed. However, there are so many homeless that don't give a shit about any body else and for sure leave massive amounts of trash wherever they go. I support the mandate to have cleanup of university property before obtaining housing. The UofA has been more than generous to the homeless. These lowlife people need to show appreciation for the generosity of the University and the compassion shown by the fayetteville police officers.

I am half American half Kenyan. I have lived both worlds. I can safely say I would rather be homeless in America. Any day. America you have access to free Healthcare , freedom to food stamps, access to housing and benefits. Even options to housing if you choose. And free treatment should you have addiction issues. And people still choose to live outside
Generally to abide to no rules. There are training transitional programs in Seattle so you get trained for a job and get housing. People decline because of rules. They want the housing and free monthly money without rules. I feel sorry for no one offered help but declines. Follow rules. It teaches you discipline. Food banks have good food. People are spoiled. A beggar saying if we get up early we can have good food. As long as you are walking right not literally something will come up.

I looked at the want Ad and got a job w/ construction moving from place to place.
If you hike 10 miles a day, in one month you can be 300 miles south, by winter you'll be on the gulf coast. Fish for food and stay warm year round.
From Minneapolis, MN to New Orleans is 1200 miles - that's 130 days or 4 months.
Even halfway is above freezing - that's 2 months of hiking at a slow pace..
I got my bicycle at a yard sale for $20, I used that to save gas.. I could bike 10 miles an hour, down hill I was passing cars..
A bicycle w/ a backpack w/ a tent you can go 1000 miles in 2 months w/ very little effort..

But first you have to volunteer 300 hours service helping build these houses. And the money the home owners pay to the company is used to buy materials for more houses. Genius.

Hard times can cause people to end up homeless just like now due to very high inflation prices on food and rent and utilities.... There's people who gets SSI disability benefits and SSDI benefits and veterans benefits and where there's very high inflation prices on food and rent and utilities now and those people had medical problems and they have to take medication for their medical problems those people will have to end up either have to choose between a place to live or their medication especially if they just get only $841 a month in SSI disability and they have to pay for rent and utilities and food out of that $841 and that's not counting their medication that they have to pay for so yes you don't have to be on drugs or alcohol ordinary to end up being homeless.

Choices and the state of the union. Rules on trash should be number one, it's called squalor. Self medicating is a no no. Being broke, hungry, rejected and homeless is a tough choice. I knew a vet that lived under a bridge but put his suit on in the daytime. It's a matter of a system needed to give hope to those that want to live a cleaner forfilled life and still having the freedom to not be part of society. The Problem goes back to trash. If you think this video makes your head spin try going to a reservation where you will see a different type of poverty. Choices, no one forced these peeps into the woods and at this point they guide themselves like a stray pet. Surviving is number one, advancing for the better takes more work and more tactics. Choices, opportunity, guidance, the will to do more even if it's finding a trash bag/or having one issued, to fill with the trash you have created. If you don't care for yourself why would you care for your surroundings. Housing is a choice but it requires a clean drug test and it requires you do something to pay it forward. Would I support someone who refuses to give back? No, but I would get to the bottom of why they refuse to even pick up one piece of trash even if they didn't create the trash. It's respect for self, it's respect for surroundings it's respect for having a place to put ones head at night. Every day when they walk to town for free food they have to bring one bag of trash. Sounds good to me. I used to be homeless, I gave back and my life changed. Taking from self or others ,all the time works for no one. Welcome to the sanctuary city. If you think this video is shocking go to another country and see how they live. Opportunities in the U.S. are rampant. It's a choice. One city picks them up and gives them cleaning tools to keep the city clean, they pay them, they deliver them back to camp. Easy peasy.

Helping someone to help themselves is a good thing. Enabling people to be dependent upon or allowing them to take advantage of other's kindness, is not a good thing. The first thing they need to do is respect themselves and others enough to clean up after themselves. Then, they need to be proactive about helping themselves to get out of their situation. If they want to be homeless...if that is their life choice, that is on them. They need to do it without infringing on others.

Maybe each person can improve their lives and help others somehow if they are a genuine good soul.

I wonder about the couple at the end if they’ll make it. I hope they do. I’ve been blessed and never had to face homelessness so this is just a question, do some folks get the help but decide to go back to living homeless? Like the gentleman who was 3 years in his new apartment, he said it’s claustrophobic and unsettling living inside. There are certain rules you have to follow when and if you get assistance. I’m curious if some just don’t want to deal with that.

Do not know about now, but i arrived in spring dale in 1986 with wife 2 kids, in a pickup truck, and about 30 dollars left. Next day was working for tyson, in chicken plant, In a week we had a house rented. About a year latter left town with over 1,000 dollars and a cab over camper on our truck. No body wants to admit the truth, all this is caused by immigrants taking all the jobs. And all this other bull crap don't solve any problems.I worked with people at the chicken plant with all kinds of mental problems. But they was not homeless. And people today who talks about home less people and helping them have no idea how to help these people. Really they make it worse, First all politicians salary including police is based on only one factor population. So of course they invite more people, because there salary is based on population including the ones living on the streets. Base there salary on conditions the population live in, and watch home less problem get fixed over night. Watch home less Americans go back to work, with all kinds of jobs available and even company's building employ housing. This entire problem is created by government. .

My friend works at a hospital and often times when she is discharging a homeless person she tries to give them information about help and resources to get them off the streets and most aren’t at all interested especially if they have to stay sober to do it. She’ll see them again and our tax dollars will pay to put them back together so they can go out and keep living that way.

Blame their selfish, narcissist, sadist scumbag parents.
The top reasons NPC-breediots force innocent souls into this pointless hellish existence:
      1. Unprotected sex
      2. "I wanted to have a living doll"
      3. "I need a baby to love and admire me, because nobody (not even animals) notice me"
      4. "I need my child to take care of me when I get old"
      5. "I am bored with life & needed meaning/purpose;
      6. ‘I need free laborers’
      7. ‘I need somebody to be able to legally: kick/punch/ scream at/ beat up till unconscious/ threaten/ judge/ molest/ terrorize/ dominate/ guilt trip/ control/ gaslight/ bully/ have expectations from, you know, when the ‘gifts’/’wonders’ of life are hitting me hard, aka when I am frustrated with life’
      8. ‘I want my spawn to become rich/famous so I too will automatically become rich/famous
      9. ‘I am lonely, I need company, i.e. a need a human pet(s)’
      10. ‘I want to continue my ‘legacy’ of: horrible genetics/looks, failure, suffering, exploitation, misery, debt, poverty, wretchedness, being a loser nobody etc.’
      11. ‘I want to lock down a clueless mega beta-simp-mangina-cuck in order to divorce rape him if he got $$$ + alimony and also get child support $$$ and freebies/welfare/benefits from the gubment (‘free’: money/housing/bills/food/public indoctrination camp ‘schooling’ etc. and other privileges child-free people don’t have)’
      12. ‘I need tax reduction’
      13. Babies/infants/toddlers make me feel ‘worthy’ ‘of something’ because my child(ren) think(s) I am the best thing ever in this realm/existence/dimension of lifelong exploitation, suffering and death. They consider me a god figure. I love being a god figure.
      14. ‘I want to save my marriage/relationshit.’
      15. ‘I want a living punching/kicking bag.’
ALL OF THESE REASONS ARE: SELFISH, NARCISSISTIC, SADISTIC, ILLOGICAL/IRRATIONAL, EVIL/DIABOLICAL, RETARDED, IMMORAL, UNETHICAL, HATEFUL.
If you think about, the mere act of having children is selfish, narcissistic and sadist. You are creating a life just so YOUR life can feel "complete."
The amount of selfishness from any parent will never surprise me. By giving birth they've already committed the most selfish act on the planet, because every other selfish act can only be caused once you are born.
what no one is talking about is how everything in life UNDOES IT SELF!!! Name one thing that doesn't undo itself after you do it.
The sex drive: the biggest prison and source of frustration and emotional pain that keeps the naked apes existing. WTF! Pun intended

They were from illinois . She told me they degraded her continually and she didn't feel welcomed at all. I'm not sure they are still there or not. I hope not they deserve to have better.

This country needs rehab housing- period. Addiction is at the core of most homeless. Federal drug enforcement has not closed traffickers of hard drugs. Drug/alcohol= homelessness, unemployment, crime. If the source creating this problem is not addressed priority no amount of housing is going to stop homelessness. Housing without support creates the false sense of security of accomplishment hamster wheel.

It's wrong too be so selfish, it's not only your nature and if your going to use it take care of it so others can use it after you! Not potentially harm children by sheer ignorance!
