My sons permanent left front tooth came in completely sideways. I took him to have it fixed because I just knew he needed braces. His dentist said to leave it alone it would probably straighten by itself and if not then see about fixing it. I thought he was crazy but it did turn and straighten completely on it’s own. It was amazing. You would never know now looking at it because it’s so straight. Our bodies do amazing things sometimes. This dentist was very old school and is retired now but he was right.
I got braces at 21 until 25 I needed 1 pre molar removed from the each side on the top because I had gapping at the bottom I didn’t need any extractions. Fast forward 6 years I have TMJ and my bottom teeth have shifted even though I have a fixed “permanent” retainer... smh so it’s recommended I get upper jaw surgery for the TMJ and braces again for my teeth at the bottom that have come out of alignment 😩😩😩😩 the tragedy!!

This is me noo 😩 I had braces around the age of 13 I had 4 teeth taken out, (both my lateral incisors were behind the rest of my teeth) the metal rings attached to the back of my teeth dug into my gums the whole 2 years I had them creating my “third molar” to become decayed beyond repair and now that I’m nearly 23 I have that “sucken” in smile 😩 also the laterals have moved back quite a considerable amount, my bite has also become wonky, you need to be in England 🤦♀️
my whole family has beautifull teeth and really strong one too i still remainber breaking walnut with my teeths when my dad did it and insisted me to do it too when i was just 6 or so and my baby teeth never fell off they are same as when they grew when i was little
I’m 15 and I wanted braces like years ago (I live in the UK) I don’t get a choice when I get them. Should be this year or next year so I’ll be 16 or 17. My teeth are suuuper squint. Not to mention that the surgeon who was referred is our orthodontists husband! Now he’s really skeptical. We were not given any other options for the over crowding, just the option to extract. Now I’m worried about the sunken smile/tooth decay/etc. I signed the treatment plan understanding that extracting is part of the (necesarry) treatment. Is it too late to go back now? Could it be possible to request the phases you speak of instead?

I've seen 3 different specialists and all tell me I can either do nothing, pull all the teeth out at once (cheaper) and then put braces on to close the gaps or I can pull the teeth out and get four implants, only complication is that my nerve runs a little close to my jaw so have to be careful not hitting the screw and losing feeling in my lip... I have no idea what to decide, I was kinda leaning to the implants, do you have any advice?

There is no age limit for getting braces. It would work better if you have most of your baby teeth taken out (or else you’ll probably need to get some teeth extractions). Some of my friends are the same age as you are and they already have braces. I’m not sure about the situation for you now, but sooner or later I believe your parents would let you have them.

Its because your doctor tighten it that's why uts already straight
They can easily shift back so I think that’s why you have them on for longer. Also, the reason why they give you retainers.

There is not an age limit to healthy straight teeth. We use invisalign more commonly for adults because they are clear.
