In this video, I will be installing the new BTT SKR Mini E3 V3.0 to upgrade my Ender 3. This is Part 1 of 2 and will focus on physical installation and wiring.
I have my first 3D printer, an Ender 3, sitting in a corner of my office. I have decided to try to get it running. I have all the original parts but did not have a motherboard for the machine. With this in mind, I am installing the brand-new Bigtreetech SKR Mini E3 V3.0.

Thanks for the video, I had already just installed the v3.0 board into my Ender 3 non pro model and it was good to watch your video afterwards. I've already played around with the various axis and heating and very happy with the quiet operation. Got some other upgrades sat on the desk cr touch, dual z axis upgrade and just replaced the springs with silicon spacers. Will watch your firmware video next, manually set bed level and print a test cube. Then add each upgrade with a test print in between each update 👍

hi there did your complete video ender 3 worx but i installed the skr mini and changed the screen cable i the tried uploading software and although it comes on if you want to enter into a selection it just reboots it shows readings on the screen and everything but nothing works just so you are in the loop its a ender3 v2 with blt
Did you try a different sd card?

I dont want to just keep buying unit I find the right size and spacing JST connectors.

I have an old Ender 3 CLONE with a dead MKS Robin Lite board that I am trying to replace with the SKR Mini E3 v3 on. Everything looks good except that the Limit switches on the printer are 3 wire and the sockets for the X Stop, Y Stop and Z Stop on the SKR are for 2 wire. I have looked for information, and it seems that 3 wire connections are common on the Ender 3 stop switches, but I can't find how to handle the 3rd wire at the SKR board. Can someone point me to someone that explains how to handle this?

Take aook at my Ender 3 video with the SKR Mini. I believe that will help you.
My SD card slot was so stuck it snapped my gcode card in half. I tried using it outside the housing and it was still just as bad. :(
Can you push it out from the other side?
@@minimal3dp it didn't get stuck, I just couldn't get the card past the catch. I ended up busting the side of the slot out from the force of trying to install the card. Seems like a physical deformity. But hey, aside from that, your video came in clutch for me and seemed to have worked perfectly! Thanks
What size ferrules did you use?

Is the same to install a Cr touch?
It should but I don’t have a CR Touch to verify.
