I just want to point out, I personally can't stand the way Beyoncé acts when the other girls are singing, like she can't wait for her part she starts getting jumpy and showy having all the attention on her. Whenever they sing gospel Beyoncé starts acting a fool. At first I thought she was just feeling it but homegirl is extra.
I thought that too, but it's the performer in her, so it's kinda of hard for her to just be still and sing! Great performance though.

Kelendria Mississippi Mass Choir Rowland, now Witherspoon, came in like the ENTIRE alto section. Michelle was so comfortable up there, growing up singing for Jesus. Bey is vocally anointed, we know this. These ladies are the epitome of harmony and God given talent.

Their blend wouldn't be nothing without Michelle bottom note. That's all I heard, but I'm a sucker for low harmonies because I sing them. I feel when Michelle joined it elevated their whole sound. They sounded basic before she helped with harmonies they became solid in my opinion .

That’s Beyoncé’s work ethic…practice til it’s perfect then practice 15 hours more…she’s the voice of that group and arranges most if not all of their harmony pieces. But yes I agree. They switch parts effortlessly without going flat or pitchy.

Kelly does alto and soprano Michelle does all three and Bey does alto and tenor (most of the time) but she screeched that high harmony because she the only one to sing it in tune Michelle woulda been too shrill up there . It was the best they could do. None of them have that phat church soprano voice but they worked it out !

I absolutely hated Beyoncé for screaming out those soprano notes on I Surrender All. She redeemed herself for me with the rest of the song, especially the ending. Not necessarily their best performance blend-wise, but Kelly SANG.
Where was she screaming. That note ain't easy to hit and she not even a natural Soprano. So for her to hit it was good.
