Hey Sam, you guys camped at the exact same spot the wife & I did in October. Zone 8 north of Orchid.
We were camped there when the fires started & saw the lads that started the fires about 1km north of that spot. Got photos of it all.
We GPS marked the spot as well because the missus thought it was a top spot.

Well ive already got the mullet but picture this..
Suburban coldesac. White clad house with a sunburnt unmown lawn and overgrown garden. Three pushbikes in different states of repair line the driveway. Clapped out commy with the bonnet up, engine out, no wheels because its sitting on bricks out the front.
Its 7am. I walk out of my front door, its 47.598°C, so bloody hot. Im dressed in my finest local footy club shorts and ive got no shirt on #freethebeergut. I adjust my signed pair of BNB pitt vipers, crack the first of many VB largies and roll my finest winnie blue. I plant myself in my favourite white plastic kmart outdoor chair and watch my neighbours thong slap their 4 cylinder falcon to test their performace pod filter, and laugh to myself in LS1. What a fantasic start to the week.
